So at level 5 I just got blasted by a raider with a Fat Man. Okay.
There's no leveling as far as I can tell, it's just that some areas of the map are hotter than others - which is a welcome change in my eyes. Leveling enemies always seemed dumb.
What DLC do you think we're gonna get? My bet is hopefully a Lovecraft inspired area, and most likely some sorta sequel to Mothership Zeta.
Enclave moonbase vs Zeta aliens, knowing Bethesda
I hope there's going to be mods to remove radiations upon level up. I like the rads system but considering how easy it is to get irradiated it wouldn't be unbalanced to lose all rads upon leveling up.
anyone know who and where i can find this guy?
[sp]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/251301/ShareXmod/2015-11/14_002214.png[/sp]
My stores are never properly manned. What's wrong?
So at level 5 I just got blasted by a raider with a Fat Man. Okay.
I think we've all been there. Hell bethesda even made achievement for it. By the way turning "godrays" off was a great idea, now perfomance is even better than before. Haven't noticed a single frame drop anywhere yet.
Managed to find the X-01 power armour but with its head and left arm missing. Fucking bummed. Where else does it spawn anyway?
It seems not matter what I do, Fallout 4 now completely refuses to even acknowledge changes to my graphic options, regardless of the INI being set to read only or not. Supposedly. [t]http://puu.sh/lmwsy.png[/t] Is "Ultra" for texture quality. I've gone through the launcher multiple times and it says ultra, went into the INI's, and can't see anything to note that the texture quality is anything lower. Doesn't seem to acknowledge ANY changes to my graphics at all. Even when the launcher says they are what I set them too.
Are you sure you're looking at the ini's in your docs folder and that they're read only? Something's wrong with your permissions if your read only files are simply being overwritten.
There's no leveling as far as I can tell, it's just that some areas of the map are hotter than others - which is a welcome change in my eyes. Leveling enemies always seemed dumb.
Partially. Some areas are "low level scaling" where they scale from a low level into maybe spawning one guy thats higher level than the rest, some are "mid level scaling" where they can kinda spawn whatever, but usually a little bit of everything, but it's "capped" downwards, meaning it'll only start to scale after you've reached a certain level, and then there's "high level scaling" that is a high level area that only scales upwards when you start finding it easy. I'm not 100% sure how I like the lategame because of this but whateverrrrr it's fun anyway and avoids making the game ever become a true cakewalk unless you bring your power armor
My stores are never properly manned. What's wrong?
NPCs seem to have trouble getting to shops, especially if they're close to walls or something. When I first assign them to a shop I use the "Go" command to get them behind the counter then assign them to it. They usually work well after that, they just need a little coaxing sometimes.
So one of my settlements keeps losing happiness despite having enough food, water, beds, and defence for it. Anyone know what's going wrong?
Are you sure you're looking at the ini's in your docs folder and that they're read only? Something's wrong with your permissions if your read only files are simply being overwritten.
Yup. I set them read only and no changes. Set them off read only and no change. Also changed down to low and back up again and still no changes. I've absolutely no idea how to fix it.
It's not so much that you gave a named Boss NPC a Fatman, Bethesda. It's that you allowed him to reload in one second and fire it at point blank range that upsets me.
You'd know what'd be great If one of you could please tell me how you get a Elder Maxins coat :pudge:
So playing survival difficulty, at the start helping the minute men, killed all of the raiders till the deathclaw gets here, how the hell do you defeat it, i mean i just got it's health to like 2% and somehow it killed me in a spot it didn't get me in before with like 1 hit
So I went digging into the data files of Fallout 4, and I stumbled upon this; [t]http://i.imgur.com/lg0c3Gz.png[/t] Would be neat if I could cut them into universal format and make a nice imgur album out of them
You could use Irfanview to batch convert them all to the same image format for you.

Made the fight a total breeze.
Does anyone here know how you trigger Kent Connelly to upgrade the Silver Shroud costume for a second time? He talks about how I should come back later, but I've only managed to upgrade the costume once.
Ok so I've gotten as far as [sp]going to the institute, having the reveal about Father and stuff, but now I have no idea which faction to support. At the moment I can kinda do any of the faction quests, but I'm assuming at some point doing one of the quests is going to close off the rest and I don't know when that's going to happen.[/sp] Also, from an RP perspective [sp]I can't decide who to help. The lack of info about the Institute is kind of infuriating. I'm there and can talk to everyone but there's no way to ask them why exactly everyone hates them, or to justify why they kidnap people and their synths kill everyone.[/sp] In short: [sp]I feel like I have to decide which faction to support, The Institute or Brotherhood (or railroad I think) but there feels like a massive lack of information to actually let me decide who to help. Is there a point where it's all clear and you get to decide or what?[/sp]
[sp]I kind of feel like the Institute aren't really bad guys. But they're kind of dicks to the synths when you've seen up to that point that yes, synths do have free will. But honestly, I almost feel like I was forced into siding with the Institute. I went to the Minutemen to build the teleporter to get into the Institute and I had no idea how to get out after I downloaded the data off their system. Also the first time Father/Shaun showed up, I shot him in the face before he got a chance to talk and got killed trying to escape so I went back and actually let him talk.[/sp]
Does anyone here know how you trigger Kent Connelly to upgrade the Silver Shroud costume for a second time? He talks about how I should come back later, but I've only managed to upgrade the costume once.
He did it for me around level 35 iirc
[sp]Thank you, Killer <3[/sp]
Huh? Sry idk what you mean
Interesting, apparently the West Coast and East Coast are in full contact with each other, and the West Coast Elders fully approve of Maxson. A bit more interesting BoS lore: [sp]West Coasters heard about Maxson and are hailing him as some sort of demigod and the West Coast elders are basically having to stop cults from forming.[/sp] Found in that annoying fuck Scribe's terminal on the Prydwen.
Huh? Sry idk what you mean
[sp]He must die[/sp]
Interesting, apparently the West Coast and East Coast are in full contact with each other, and the West Coast Elders fully approve of Maxson.
I hear them talking shit about Elder Lyons a lot.
So I hear trees in settlements actually regrow after a while? :o

He couldn't fit through the door
Help, this happens during some storms. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/396676045209080906/E3BD7C64E6A837F6D5B8D84B0EDDCE56D63C11C4/[/t]
So I have a question about settlements. Is there a way to either not have settlers come in and populate the area, or any way to severely limit how many show up? I want to use [sp]hangman's alley[/sp] as a base but I don't want a bunch of settlers mucking things up.
