I built a container and put it in Sanctuary where I put everything I'm not carrying out with me.
Thanks, that's more my style than turning Piper into a pack mule
Some of the writing in this game is pretty great.. [sp]WILL YOU COMPLY [/sp]
I've basically been describing this game to my friend as the Dragon Age Inquisition of the Fallout series. With the graphical style, the change in gameplay and the focus on new gameplay aspects, I think it's the most apt description for it. plus I had a really cool moment in a certain raider infested location - I'm in some big room filled with all sorts of pipes and shit and a few automated turrets firing at me. I'd just got the intimidation perk (which I already love, even if it's a bit naff) and while I was chipping at the turrets my character was telling incoming raiders to not do anything stupid, then popping off their head if they wouldn't comply. A bunch of raiders from the floor below had swarmed in through the way I came in, and I punched a few with my gun (really cool feature) and then ran into an elevator and pressed the button and escaped. I dunno why, but the whole scenario of just punching my way through a sudden swarm of raiders and then ducking into an elevator and hammering the button and watching it close and take me away without loading screens was a real "holy fuck that was awesome" moment

iPresentInterval=0 makes everything speed up but without it turned on I experience frame drops in certain places. What do??
Is it full of bullshit identity politics like TalentlessHackware's games?
I havent got far in the main story at all but I imagine the whole android thing would be also ghouls/supermutants have been that in previous fallout games
Can you still dump your inventory on the floor of your 'home' and it'll stay there indefinitely? Piling pre war money on my beds and having my floor, wall to wall knee deep in loot, is my thing
the loading times are starting to get to me, i'm sometimes hitting some bloodborne-tier loading times (30 seconds or more) and for some reason while i'm playing, my hard drive makes a really loud noise like it's constantly reading/writing or something while i'm playing
iPresentInterval=0 makes everything speed up but without it turned on I experience frame drops in certain places. What do??
Petition Bethesda to patch their shit engine.

probably late but: why the fuck is the thread v1?
For some reason my little brother got his Christmas Fallout 4 early, so I can Family Share it from him. I won't have to wait until Christmas after all :excited: Unfortunately I'll still have to wait a while to play much though, since my computer is at home and I am not on school days, and also I have 5 midterms from this week to Monday next week
You should clean your room.
This is the apocalypse. Fuck being tidy and organized. I want to see my adventures laid out in all their glory on my floor!
I said I'd try it on my laptop, and it somehow runs. Everything is set to minimum, at 1366x768. It has 4gb's of Ram, an i3 processor and a Nvidia 540m 2gb video card. It can be choppy at times, especially when there's a lot going on but it works. I think I was really pushing the boat out with this one, but somehow in the words of the man himself "It just works"
I'm personally waiting for modding support to buy it. I don't mind the long wait. ;V
Is it just me, or is most of the radio just recycled from FO3? I've heard maybe, 1 or 2 new songs? Also maxing this game out on my GTX 980Ti at 1080p and I still get drops here and there, god dammit Todd.
So I was running this fine with my 7870 yesterday and part of today. But then I come back from an alt-tab and my game is running at sub 10 fps. I thought that maybe alt-tabbing fucked it up somehow so I restarted the game. Still getting 10 fps no matter where I go. What the hell happened....?

okay wow. At first I had my doubts about Power Armour mainly because it needs power to operate so I refrained from using it, only for special occasions. So I got in a ""dungeon"" where I just kill everyone and take loot, and holy fucking shit Power Armour is insane. Murder everyone with a pipe upgraded to have a blade while running at raiders at full speed in a power suit must be terrifying sight to see, but it's also really fun! I got Hot Rod paint and it's fabulous. Also dropped down on an enemy hiding inside the caravan and landed on the roof and killed the guy inside.OK. My only problem is that in that level there is a lot of lighting effects and they nuke my FPS like mas, I played through most of it was 15-20 FPS which was unpleasant and I still have to clear it all out for loot. My settings are set on lowest but I didn't tinker in config file, is there anything I can do about that? I'm on nVidia 645M(2GB), 8GB RAM and i7(2.4GHz iirc), latest drivers are in place.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say it. Bethesda would be doing everyone a favor by licensing or developing a new engine for their open world games. I believe it's unfair to compare their engine to MGSV, but that game really did show us what's possible if you optimize an engine, and it had even better looks than Beth's engine. (The engine itself was in development for incredibly long though) I fucking love their games but some of their choices that are there simply because of their engine bothers me. My guess is they stick with it cause ALL their employees are used to it and they're really good at working WITH that engine, but fuck my asshole D-dog compared to Dogmeat is no contest, he's both prettier, more useful and less of a nuisance. Wish I had to command Dogmeat to attack before he does anything, because going stealth with dogmeat is shit. The graphics aren't bad though, so Gamebryo looking nice isn't the issue, but the optimization is so bad. Still a 10/10 game in my book cause I'm having a lot of fun (and that's what a game like this should be), I just felt like ranting cause despite this being one of the best games I've played in years, I know it could've been better if they avoided sticking to their principles.
No cash, wants to play, game is everywhere including the fricking TV. Hell.

I get 30-40 in open world and it drops frequently is some places to 30 but it mostly keeps that way, however some times ut just refuses to cooperate and lighting effects just shit on me
My classes for the next two days have been cancelled. I think this is Todd Howard's reward to me for spreading his legacy across Facepunch.

Kind of sucks I've been waiting for this game for so long only to find that the game won't recognize my graphics card. New Vegas and Skyrim does but Fallout 4 doesn't.

What do??
https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/3s93p4/low_fps_on_good_hardware_try_these_two_fixes/ Setting vsync as adaptive on the nvidia control panel worked for me. Basically you have to cap it again, this time to 60 fps.

Haha oh god there is a fucking [sp] British Mr. Handy as a bartender, wearing a browler hat and speaking with british accent. This game is fucking amazing [/sp]
Gonna be starting a livestream over on http://www.twitch.tv/jcorp101 in a couple of minutes. Testing the Ultra quality on my setup, given my stupid amount of RAM a sensible game engine should be able to cope with OBS running in the background. Hopefully.
