Let me guess, unique character clothing is unobtainable? I really want to wear Scribe Haylen's outfit. The clothing/armor system in this game is a fucking trainwreck of disappointment.
Ok, it seems you can get her outfit, but the point still stands because way too many things are arbitrarily uncustomizable/unlayerable.
Let me guess, unique character clothing is unobtainable? I really want to wear Scribe Haylen's outfit. The clothing/armor system in this game is a fucking trainwreck of disappointment.
I've gotten some unique outfits, and I'm fairly certain Scribe Haylen's outfit is just a regular scribe outfit?
where do companions go if you send them to sanctuary?
[sp]Dogmeat goes into a random doghouse somewhere(was behind the house to the west)[/sp]
Man... getting real tired of the enemies literally breaking geometry to kill me. It's especially bad in the urban areas, as they can shoot through certain holes in buildings and you legit cannot.
Survival mode is kicking my ass. I keep running into legendary ghoul reavers who fuck-punch me across the room I actually sort of enjoy it though, seeing my character explode into gibs when I get shot by a machinegun bursts kinda takes me back to my early days in Fallout 1 & 2

It's literally the same as FO3 and NV but you can also layer armor parts on top of clothing.
i get that but the whole engine acting wacky seems completely bullshit since i do get frame dips yet the game doesn't pose any problems whatsoever
It's because the problems happen in the underlying framework. Over time your in game time will get out of sync with the actual time of day. So NPC's will tell you to meet them at midnight, but in actuality the engine will have moved midnight to what you see at 6am, making some quests impossible to do. It's the same way in Skyrim, there's a few other problems it creates, but I know that's one of them.
some shadows cast from lights cast really unnatural shadows, is this a game bug, or what? anyone know a fix? [t]http://i.imgur.com/2t1edo1.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/nJUoeXp.jpg[/t] its worth noting that not all lights do this
where do companions go if you send them to sanctuary? [sp]Codsworth and Curie are Garvey are there, but Piper and Dogmeat are missing. Any tips?[/sp]
Dogmeat is probably chilling in one of the neighborhood dog houses.
Ok, it seems you can get her outfit, but the point still stands because way too many things are arbitrarily uncustomizable/unlayerable.
They are unlayerable because they're too thick. I agree on the customization though
Oh hey, found the one use for Dogmeat, exploding people who are trying to commit suicide. Seriously he's shit.
Yo, for anyone struggling with frames try this. Didn't see anyone on reddit mention it, and it's what I did for GTA 5 as well go to task manager while in fallout 4 details(I forget what it is for non windows 10, iirc its just in processes) right click fallout4.exe set priority high Improved fps a fuck load for me and my friend. Upgrading to a 960 during christmas, so I've got a while. Helped a lot. Basically makes it so fallout4 has priority over all other programs, which helps a fuck load.
They are unlayerable because they're too thick. I agree on the customization though
I can't even layer my dress shirt, the majority of the good looking clothes can't be layered.
So since I just did that quest [sp]where you join the Minutemen and get Garvey as a companion, can I still join BoS or the Railroad later on?[/sp]
I can't even layer my dress shirt, the majority of the good looking clothes can't be layered.
I can layer things on the arms and chest of MY dress but not on the legs no. I dunno, I do wish I could have armor on the tuxedo, but I highly doubt this will be difficult to fix with mods

Finally figure out how to get tons of screws, then I run out of adhesive. I have a feeling this is going to be a reoccurring pattern. Also found a straight up Obrez wannabe early into the game: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/582449504973805188/5AC83945C8CCDEBF393D41174E002FA2CAD4312E/[/t]
Seems this game doesn't support true fullscreen at anything other than your native resolution. The "true" fullscreen breaks if you don't play at native monitor resolution, and if you play on "borderless window" you're guaranteed to lose a good 10 fps right off the bat. So you can't use Nvidia DSR in this game, period. You can't downsample resolution in this game without using borderless window, which is a catch 22 because that breaks the Gaussian filter it uses and actually makes things look like shit, while still having extra performance overhead. So DSR = Broken, completely. You can't play this game fullscreen at anything other than native monitor resolution, and you gain no benefit from using DSR if you're using borderless window. It's a bit disappointing for me, but I guess 2560x1080 at 60 fps is fine for the time being, I'll stop complaining now :pudge:
Set your desktop to the DSR res for a borderless game. Or turn off borderless in the ini [editline]10th November 2015[/editline]
It's because the problems happen in the underlying framework. Which is surprising because that aspect makes a whole lot of sense in my games.
Do the weapon damage perks (rifleman, gunslinger, commando) affect energy/plasma weapons, or is there a perk for them separately?
finally got a chance to run it ultra settings, constant 60fps, but still in vault 111, though

I just noticed enemies sometimes react based on what you're wearing. I'm wearing the vault 111 suit with armor layered over it and a super mutant called me "stupid blue lady".

Guys My friend is trying to decide if he should join the brotherhood of steel in fallout 4, can someone tell me what brotherhood branch is in fallout 4 and what the believe in? Is it the lyons pride?
Not sure what to do about this http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/403430811347385784/FA5564502C45B4ABD1020267D7DA8F208A73D07D/
Build a set of stairs next to the house, climb it, push him off, delete the stairs. He's just fixing the roofs like he said he'd do.
Power Armor question, not really spoiler-y but just in case: [sp]Is there any point in gathering PA frames? I have 3 frames. One has a complete set of T-45 and the other 2 are missing some arms and legs. How many different varieties can you get/find?[/sp]
but yeah this is my character [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/401179447771301481/FA39178FC9D366E54263FC64C555C1832153C14B/[/t]

There are legendarys at every corner on survival. It's pretty hardcore
Is the brotherhood of steel bad in this game? What Branch are they? Lyons Pride? My friend wants to know if he should join them.

I built stairs to the roof and the AI was clever enough to see the new pathing and use them to get down. Doesn't really explain how they get up there though..
