but yeah this is my character

I always make like the 'anime black woman' in these kinds of games.
Yknow, like what Japanese people thought what black women looked like. Short wavy white hair, caramel complexion, bright amber eyes. That sort of thing. You always see it when the show's even slightly in a fantasy setting.
Judging by the presence of farms, I guess Bethesda really did look at the question of "what do they eat?"
Anyone knows what the setting in the .ini files would be for changing the ADS sensitivity? I'd like it to be the same as the normal view sensitivity.
YO GUYS found a fix on my end for the FOV.
If you type in the console for instance "fov 110 110" it will not only stick but the UI for the power armor and scopes won't be broken.
Also, if you have a high refresh rate monitor, keep "iPresentInterval" at "1" (so in-game vsync is activated). Then set the vsync in the Nvidia control panel to "adaptive".
It seems to give me high framerate with minimal in-game problems, and even when the framerate dips my mouse sensitivity still feels better than otherwise.
Measured the time it took to run from one place to another and at 76 fps it took 17 seconds and at 144 it took about 15. Not much of a difference, seem like in-game logic is fine.
sweet baby jesus my sensitivity is broken as hell
i started the game and it was all the way up and one small movement made me spin in 4 complete circles, so i turned it all the way down and i was still moving way too fast :v:
[sp]Dogmeat goes into a random doghouse somewhere(was behind the house to the west)[/sp]
[sp]I found him, but Piper is nowhere to be found[/sp]
Sweet jesus, I lead a deathclaw to a merc encampment defending some place and it fucking tore them to shreds with animations and blood and gore and everything. Fucking amazing
then I made the deathclaw glitch out by standing on a rock and screwing up its pathfinding; it somehow teleported like 50ft in the air and died when it slammed against the floor

I'm home
so I said this in the last thread but was just too lazy to make the video at the moment :v: ; here's just the bolded part in the vid

my character CJ

gonna hang with the railroad peeps? cause you know, you gotta follow the damn train.
I wish there was some sort of toggle that would let you just place items in the workshop mode wherever you like. Kinda annoying when you can see that a floor tile would easily snap to another but the game won't allow it because it clips in with another model very very slightly. One thing for modders to get to work on I guess
Has anyone else found that random encounter NPC that tries to sell you his [sp]dog, as a friend to dogmeat?[/sp] If so, where did you find him? My GF just met him but [sp]failed the randomized speech check[/sp] and she really wanted to buy it, so I'm just wondering if you guys know how to trigger random events in this game? She has 7 luck
Has anyone killed [sp]Swan[/sp] yet?
No but it scared the fuck out of me

Unfortunately that still means it's going to start getting more and more out of sync the longer you play.
Exact same problem. I built stairs to the roof and the AI was clever enough to see the new pathing and use them to get down. Doesn't really explain how they get up there though..

When this happens, just go to sleep for an hour and it fixes itself. Same shit happened to me and I had no idea how to progress in Sanctuary cause the dude was on the roof and I didn't think of building stairs.
What do you do again if you get stuck right when you exit the vault?
I just clicked him in console and typed "moveto player"
also, if you change the color of your pip boy, it actually changes the flashlight to match. bright blue works very well. I'm probably super late on that one but
Is it possible to not have any companions at all? I prefer to play solo but I don't know how to make Dogmeat leave or stay in some settlement.
Is it possible to not have any companions at all? I prefer to play solo but I don't know how to make Dogmeat leave or stay in some settlement.
Walk up to them which opens the discussion tree.
How do I equip things to Companions/Dogmeat?
Can Dogmeat wear sunglasses? I wanna give dogmeat sunglasses.
Also when the creation kit comes out for the game next year, I wonder what kind of insane weapon mod mod is gonna come out for the game? I bet Millennia is gonna have a field day making weapons for fallout 4.
Guys My friend is trying to decide if he should join the brotherhood of steel in fallout 4, can someone tell me what brotherhood branch is in fallout 4 and what the believe in? Is it the lyons pride?
Uhhh how, exactly? It's literally the same as FO3 and NV but you can also layer armor parts on top of clothing.

They are unlayerable because they're too thick. I agree on the customization though
What you can and cannot layer on is entirely arbitrary. It has nothing to do with thickness. Why can't I wear the leather chest piece over suspenders and slacks? That's very thin clothing, there's nothing in the way. The layered armor has tons of potential but your options are frustratingly limited.
So, is FO4 worth buying atm?
Yo, for anyone struggling with frames try this. Didn't see anyone on reddit mention it, and it's what I did for GTA 5 as well
go to task manager while in fallout 4
details(I forget what it is for non windows 10, iirc its just in processes)
right click fallout4.exe
set priority
high
Improved fps a fuck load for me and my friend. Upgrading to a 960 during christmas, so I've got a while. Helped a lot.
Basically makes it so fallout4 has priority over all other programs, which helps a fuck load.
holy jesus as someone running a toaster that was getting a near constant ~20 fps everywhere at 1280x720 on all low, that gave a really noticeable fps boost
Has anyone killed [sp]Swan[/sp] yet?
Yeah I did at level 7 or something because I just happened to have a minigun on me. [sp]I didn't have enough ammo for it all but after that was just crafty play. The power fist you get from the corpse is pretty sweet, punching synths apart is super fun.[/sp]
So it turns out dogmeat can fetch the Cryolator in Vault 111 through the case.

help
I can't use the console on it, I can't kill it, it didn't go away after sleeping/restarting, am I stuck with an eternal cow on my roof
My gf just stabbed the corpse of a super mutant that had a mini-nuke in his inventory.
And that's how she got the Touchdown achievement

Futhermore, why add the ability to improve the stats of base clothing but only allow it on vault suits? That could work for any clothing in the game, since there's no need to change the look, but it arbitrarily restricts it.
I imagine most characters are going to look exactly the same end-game, since you can't improve most clothing and most clothing does not function as armor.
As much as they pushed customization at E3 it is severely lacking. Practically all the guns have very little mods, and spawn missing basic things such as a regular stock to give the player the illusion of more mods existing.

Obviously you're not very far into the game, I have several base outfits that I can upgrade
I gotta say I was skeptical at first but the voiced protagonist is really awesome.

At which point do you pass that threshhold? I've brought everything I've obtained so far to the armor bench and only the vault suits and layered armor appear. I cannot, for instance, upgrade my Road Leather suit.
