I asked earlier but the thread was flying so fast I think it got overlooked.
Is there a way to get higher S.P.E.C.I.A.L. levels so I can get all the perks that give you better settlement stuff? Or should I restart to make a build that has access to all of them?

Road Leather is part of the early. When you get to the midgame you'll find combat armors and military fatigues and stuff like that. Brotherhood of Steel underarmor is really good for a early-mid portion of the game but currently I've found something even better. I'd say when you're around level 22-23ish?

When you're choosing a perk you can instead choose to gain an additional SPECIAL point.

I know it's early. I'm using it where I can because it's how I want to look. Should I not be able to improve it when the system is there, for as much longevity as possible? Should we all be relegated to a strict metagame of equipping the BoS underarmor because that's what bethesda's decided we can improve, when a major bullet point in this game's advertising was player choice?

Depends on if you want to min/max your armor. Frankly, armor doesn't feel like its doing a lot for me other than when I use power armor so I just wear what I think looks good

Makes sense, I've not found an upgraded version of it yet. Like I said, I don't actually take everything to the armor bench cause I don't feel like it's doing a lot for me. Deep pockets is the only upgrade I care about and that's not on any undersuits

BoS underarmor can be fully layered, Military fatigues can be fully layered (but has kinda crappy defenses, but good SPECIAL) and the one I'm using right now can be (but I forget what it's called, I'm not playing right now cause my GF wants to find that dog seller random encounter and I'm not playing until she's found it :/)

playing with dogmeat is kinda interesting, but blocking as much as that fucking dog in skyrim too

[sp]There's supposedly a lot of different power armor, 4+ "base" models and various special parts/makes too. Someone found one that absorbs radiation and turns it into AP, but it was only a chest piece.
Each frame can only carry whatever armor and one power core on it. It doesn't hurt to collect frames both for display purposes and in case something bad happens with one.
Also, always take the power core out when you're done. Both in the wild and at home. That keeps errant NPCs from jacking your rig.[/sp]

Quite appropriately after I complete The Disappearing Act, Nick seems to disappear from the game. As soon as I go from Diamond City to another cell he just straight up vanishes even if I tell him to stay. Any suggestions/solutions?
EDIT: Never mind, solved it. I checked the wiki for his ref id and typed "player.moveto 00002f25" in the console, he'd gone to [sp]meet Piper[/sp] for the main quest.
I used 4 hours vacation time to be ready if my delivery was late, but it was on time and I made it to work as usual.
I'm leaving early on a Tuesday to play, fuck it.

After actually being able to play for a while, I can say that I actually like the conversation system. The game itself feels a little strange, but that's probably because I'm so used to 3/NV. I imagine if I get a bit further into it things will settle comfortably.

I have it on ps4 and it's kind of a hassle cause you gotta upload them to facebook or twitter, and I don't have either of those connected to my psn, so I'd have to sign in, and then get on my computer to download them. It's much quicker to just use my phone
