So I am looking at the guidebook, I think the ending going around is pretty fake. Major Story/Side Quest Spoiler [sp] The book is mentioning that there is small boy you meet at the Institute that will give you 3 secret side quests "Think of it as bonding you missed when you were in the deep freeze." After the side missions he gives you a "Wazer Wifle" [/sp]

that time slow lasts like 15 seconds; pretty life saving actually. But I stopped using the one I got for more damage reduction

Anyway, what's with the pixellated boxes around the edges of some characters and stuff? Seems to get worse when they're against a light source but I don't think it's godrays.
So are Charisma builds basically useless? I dumped 9 into it and pretty much all its given me so far is getting a little bit of extra caps from quest rewards
It's easier to persuade people and such and it allows you to get perks for intimidation/charm/bartering/etc. It doesn't mean much by itself other than it being easier to persuade.

I'm getting the same thing and it gets annoying. Anyone know what this is? They're like a pixel aura around certain NPC's.

So I, uh, started installing the game yesterday, turned the PC off when it was on 50% done. I just turned it back on and it says 0% done. Did the fucking thing actually installed and then deleted over 12GB of data??

I have a revolver that has a 20% chance to cripple enemy's legs. This is AMAZING when you deal with Deathclaws.

I accidentally sequence broke the "Jewel of the Commonwealth" quest [sp]I found Nicky Valentine by accident, and my character acted like I knew what I was doing[/sp]
This game is very pretty. And it runs surprisingly smoothly even on my 10 year old crapbox, managed to get everything on max (except god rays cos they just don't work on my system). System requirements be damned!

I love the Cryolator. As soon as I got Master Lockpicking I went back to grab it. I've turned in to Ms. Freeze, complete with bad cold puns. I then took it and used it to freeze Dino and [sp]rescue Valentine[/sp]. My friend, the one who got the leaked copy two weeks ago, killed Dino by backstabbing him repeatedly since Dino was more interested in his conversation than the blade carving his kidneys out.
I need to use the powered armor more. I've pretty much avoided it because despite having like 23 fusion cores I hate running low on anything. I continued to use my pipe guns until I finally ran in to super mutants because .38 was so plentiful.

here's hoping they release the first set of patches soon so that the game becomes playable on my rig
Some people really need to remake fallout 1 on FO4 when the tools come out. It would take a while but it would be so nice to see fallout 1 from a first person perspective, and with this gameplay.
How moddable is the Alien Blaster Pistol? Can it be made into a rifle?
