So my worries about graphics and dialogue have been allayed (I've never expected TOP QUALITY), but there is something that concerns me: bad PC controls. Also, hardwired bad PC controls that make no sense and auto-reverting .ini files. How are the controls, really? I cannot plug in an Xbone controller or anything so I'm basically stuck with however they are-- I especially heard the pip-boy controls are fucking wonky. Still probably getting this game in a day or two. EDIT: Unrelated but third person power armor/relevant animations look fucking cool.

So how do you cash in the shipments you can buy, haven't been able to figure it out and google hasn't been my friend.

I didn't like vats being bound to "Q" so I moved it to "mouse 4" which is super convenient, pip boy works great.

Holy fuck some sections drop me to 20fps, even worse. Moving outside gives me 40-50fps at best.

I'm not spending my money on Fallout 4 in it's current state. It's riddled with performance problems, glitches and bugs. Saying "Yeah but it's Bethesda. Besides, modders will fix it." is a bullshit excuse. Yet for some reason Bethesda gets a pass. When EA or Ubisoft do it, everyone goes on a holy crusade trying to sack the company. Sorry, I just had to share my thought.

I bought the physical copy to avoid Internet issues and get fucked over by Steam itself anyway, feels fucking awful. Especially since games keeps getting bigger and bigger and everyone is automatically assuming you have blast of an Internet connection and then you get fucked by a Steam bug that's been known about for YEARS. Anyway there's a workaround, just Google "steam downloads resetting" and it should pop up, it's on Steam forums for the new Batman but works exactly same for Fallout.

How do you know when you're close to getting a companion perk? Do you have to do a quest first? Also why do my companions dislike me when I use drugs?

Wow, there's so much ambient noise you miss out on with music on. The game becomes a lot scarier with the music turned off.
