PC settlement building controls are ass.
If you hold shift you can use WASD to navigate the menus. Makes it a little less ass
How do you get a full set of T45 power armour, ive got the first one you were supposed to but it was missing the left arm, then the second set i found was also missing the left arm and a few other bits, i just want one whole set!.
the broken parts are placed in your inventory. you have to repair them with steel
settlement building is cool it just has too many restrictions right now (can't toggle snap or clipping, no rotation snap, no freecam option) i also find it pretty annoying how limited the graphics settings really are. I need some sort of mod to turn down graphics options even more like all the particle effects and smoke volumes. interiors are horrible for me and some places like the corvega factory, museum i get like a solid 10 fps. game runs pretty alright outside though and its still fun even as i can run it now
Why does no one come to my city.
the broken parts are placed in your inventory. you have to repair them with steel
ah damn thx, found it imust have dumped it in the crate with my other armour sets when it got shoved into my inventory
Why does no one come to my city.
Do you have a radio beacon going? That's what attracted raiders and other dwellers to your vault in Fallout Shelter, and considering how similar the settlement building in FO4 is to Fallout Shelter, I assume a radio signal is needed to attract other people.
(settlement spoilers) I forgot to set [sp]Professor Goodfeels to guard mode before I accidentally destroyed his computer[/sp] am I fucked?
The Abernathy family hasn't been the same ever since I saved them from raiders either. Lucy was offering me ten caps for bringing any old melons to the farm or picking the ones in the back plot, now she's a zombie who only understands TRADE (straight inventory exchange). That's kind of understandable since you earn the right to fill the farm with melon crops, but it's not the only time it's happened. [sp]You can't modify the interior of Vault 81 after completing its quest line, but the man who was buying tools seems to have disappeared and the doctor who would have bought fertiliser off me is trapped repeating the same praises over and over again.[/sp] Do these NPCs ever recover from it and resume taking these items for caps?
[sp] Are you taking the vertibird UP to the ship? The quest triggered when I used the vertibird while I was on the ship[/sp]
[sp]Turns out it was pointing me at the quest target (the fort), not what I was looking for. Got it to work.[/sp]
Do charisma/speech checks remember whether they failed or not even after you reload a save? Do only certain ones remember while others don't? I have 3 points in CHR and have tried this one easy speech check at least 10 times and it has failed every single time. Meanwhile there's another (hard) check in the same dialogue which I suceeded at 3 times and failed the rest. Seriously I am so fucking sick of hearing "you just haaaaaaad to push didn't ya" over and over again
Minutemen question (spoilers) [sp] why is Preston against me joining the brotherhood when it was offered?[/sp]
[sp] BoS are invaders, so Preston won't like them at all since their only intent is to be greedy bastards and occupy the commonwealth "for the greater good" while hogging all the tech. Minutemen are men of the people. [/sp]
Why is there a brahmin in my settlement now?

It's percentage based like Fallout 3 was but you can just do a quick reload and keep retrying until finally it works.

Hell, everybody just stands around in places where you can't even see them. There's this one chunk of city on the coast that just shreds my frames. Down to like 20fps whenever I look in that direction despite my 980ti
Some fucking people...
There should be a place where we could post all our settlement pics here. I really want to make a cozy place by the ocean. Also I haven't spoiled myself about Salem yet, but I'm going to assume it's the new Dunwich building?
Christ, this game man. I want to like it. I really do. I played 10 hours of it yesterday and there are bits that I enjoyed but I just....don't like it that much. The gameplay is solid, the graphics are great, and the customisation on guns and power armour and stuff is a real step forward for fallout - definitely something that fits the universe really well. I like the settlement building as well a hell of a lot. But the game feels a bit soulless I guess? I'm not a fan of the perks system, the balancing is all over the place and the game seems really uninspired in that every new feature seems to be lifted from some other game I've seen which does it better. Mass effect style dialogue wheel - but the dialogue choices aren't as rich. Borderlands style weapon customising - but there aren't particularly many base weapons that I've seen yet, a lot of pipe weapons, and a couple of energy weapons but nothing standard. Settlement building - but not many options. But my main gripe is undoubtedly the plot and the dialogue. It's shallow as anything, really hamfisted and not at all convincing. Fallout's always been about this amazing world with this great lore - all original and such a great backstory that you can sink your teeth into. For some reason to me Fallout 4 seems almost derivative - very little character to the world, no solid design direction, no good backstories, no good side missions and the list goes on. It's a real shame. Where are all the quests? There are barely any unique side quests. What's with that? Its a trade off I suppose because Bethesda sunk all their time seemingly into these new gameplay features and it really shows in the story and the immersion of the world. I hope Obsidian gets a chance to make another Fallout game, I really do. Also by the standards of modern RPGs what is the deal with the tiny map?? its miniscule compared even to other Bethesda games

Anybody know where that raider haircut barber is? I heard it's a super mutant or something like that but no clue where he is.
so yeah i redid my character [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/401179644820587634/09F6FA4946AFDCEEF2DF4B2FF36B5E686EF0C89D/[/t] It reminds me of this [t]https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR7bRjErnvnLUdsBPCsS1umoNQkcmrExQ9uJazo9Xi5NV6uYsqhj6jsvd54[/t]
caravans/traders seem to stop by occasionally
Thing is though its not a trader's brahmin. No bags on its back, its just there looking at me.
so i ended up making a separate save and just messing around with perks and materials. this is with all +damage perks maxed out as well as the best mods in the game. [t]http://i.imgur.com/BpWiqiV.jpg[/t]
i dunno what happened yesterday, but [sp]there are 2 "arts", accusing each other of being a synth, talked them down and killed "art" holding up the other one[/sp]
Getting a lot of hitching just walking around the wasteland, installed on an SSD and all, 16GB Ram on a 980ti so i guess it's just usual bethesda shitty on the fly loading.

Wait, is there really no -regular- shotgun, the fuck? Actually, you know what? This game has the weirdest breakdown of weaponry I've seen in a long time. Also why the fuck is armour piercing only available in automatic modes? Who thought that up?
