[t]http://i.imgur.com/2jYCcqh.jpg[/t] I made a bar.
Needs some clutter and some colour. Also Preston needs to stop looking so lonely and depressed.
ok i am really confused now, how exactly do i get the supposed " income " from stores placed in the settlements? i have about 4 stores on different settlements, all of them have asigned workers but i dont know how to get my money?
Check the Workshop bench for caps.
aren't cats meant to be extinct in the fallout universe?
I've seen a couple of cats in this game.
I'm loving this game so far, but I would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't for the face that my PC kept crashing. Don't get me wrong, it's not a problem with the game, it's a problem with my goddamn PC that can't seem to play any games with a lot of heavy graphics.
Pretty fun, so far. Haven't made much progress at all, really, since I've only been able to play it after I get home from work for a few hours. Off tomorrow, so I might get to make some progress then. The only thing I'm not liking so far is the complete lack of weapon variety. It gets pretty tiring finding AUTOMATIC HARDENED PIPE PISTOL or HEAVY PIPE RIFLE and every other prefix on pipe gun ad infinitum. and the fact that even though I'd prefer to stay in first person for conversations it always yanks me back into Mass Effect mode. Most just personal preference, but I hate the huge emphasis on crafting. I never really enjoy crafting systems in games and this one isn't really an exception, and it seems fairly clunky, as well.
and the fact that even though I'd prefer to stay in first person for conversations it always yanks me back into Mass Effect mode.
There's an option to disable that. It's called "Dialogue Camera" in the Display settings.
There's an option to disable that. It's called "Dialogue Camera" in the Display settings.
Nice. I crawled through the options looking for it, but I'm a mong who can't read apparently.
Needs some clutter and some colour. Also Preston needs to stop looking so lonely and depressed.
You can color walls?
You can color walls?
I haven't played the game myself yet so I dunno maybe, but I meant putting up some non-grey lights and some more colorful objects like the jukebox.

When i do thr lightd i have should turn on. Its a bar and a shop. The first floor is a shop and the top is a bar.
Is there a way to scrap junk in my inventory?
Does charisma affect speech checks in any legit way? Seems that charisma 8 only goes through one out of ten checks
Who else loves searching a ruin and stumbling across one of those weird little skeleton dioramas? So far I found two guys throttling each other, a guy fucking a mannequin, one that almost managed to rob a bank and an entire skeleton stuffed inside a washing machine.
Brotherhood of Steel questline stuff [sp]LIBERTY PRIME TIME BOYS[/sp]
Is there a way to steal stuff that people are selling? Or did they do that magic box out of bounds thing again.
How do I get plastic surgery [sp]after the doctor kills himself[/sp]
So sick of bethesda's shit lol. Bloodbugs/stingwings are the absolute fucking worst and whoever thought them up, or that they should take more than a handful of bullets to kill on any difficulty should be fucking crucified. Hopefully someone will unfuck the settlement building and weapon crafting once mod tools are released
just got off my three-day bender of playing it. having an amazing time so far - really lived up to the hype. the map's size doesn't seem as small as it actuallly is and the existence of places like the glowing sea, underwater and vertical exploration more than make up for it. despite the fact that 90% of all the buildings are boarded up it still feels more fleshed out to explore than 3/NV. only major gripe is the dialogue system. i don't know how they butchered it so much, or why. but if the fallout series is to continue, it needs to ditch the dialogue wheel. it doesn't work nearly as well as bethseda was hoping.
I just want to quote myself from the TES thread to give some insight into "it's the same engine" trash that spreads around here and on other places:

but this is bethesda they'll just add in more coding to the creation engine, which is gamebryo v5000, and then call it something like "the justworks engine"
also that means that Call of Duty is just Quake by your logic. Engines are iterative and contain many parts. People saying the engine needs to change really should say that parts of the engine should change. But of course the uneducated masses spread bullshit like "replace the engine" on sites like Reddit and 4chan because they don't know what they really want to say. But I can sympathize, they shouldn't really need to know what they should say, the games should, if I were to be cheeky, just work.
Hey- my settlers and whatnot don't want to step into my custom buildings. Am I doing something wrong? Also loving the game to death right now. What I'm disappointed in the most is [non-story mechanics spoilers] [sp]The decision to port over Fallout 3's soundtrack as half the radio. That felt very lazy. That and the disappearing holstered guns.[/sp]
I just want to quote myself from the TES thread to give some insight into "it's the same engine" trash that spreads around here and on other places:
Problem is this still contains all the same problems as the Gamebryo engine.
not sure if it could be a spoiler but *Late brotherhood of steel quest thing*
Yes. Yes that DOES count as a fucking spoiler. Fuck you. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Craptasket))
I just want to quote myself from the TES thread to give some insight into "it's the same engine" trash that spreads around here and on other places:
But the CoD engine really isn't much more than a graphically upgraded Quake engine. 90% of the code is identical. Even the netcode is almost the same aside from lag compensation being added.
[sp]"There are no Synths in Diamond City", just like there are no forsworn in markarth.[/sp]
Problem is this still contains all the same problems as the Gamebryo engine.
yeah, but that's not the engine's fault, that's bethesda's.
But the CoD engine really isn't much more than a graphically upgraded Quake engine. 90% of the code is identical. Even the netcode is almost the same aside from lag compensation being added.
Where'd you get that number? I'm curious. Does COD feel like quake? Not really. And that's the point I want to make, is that does the newer version of the creation engine feel like fo3's gamebryo? It still sure has the same kind of bugs, but it totally feels different to me from a movement and gameplay perspective. What I'm saying here is don't blame the engine, blame the knuckleheads making the engine.
Well, one thing is for sure, this main quest isn't linear at all!
yeah, but that's not the engine's fault, that's bethesda's. Where'd you get that number? I'm curious. Does COD feel like quake? Not really.
It's their engine though. If they're not going to fix the engine then it's time to move on.
Then move on dude. Unless you meant bethesda should move onto another engine?
Is it a spoiler to confirm that you can join [sp]the institute?[/sp] cause some people were wondering if you could

FO4 still feels like Creation Engine, the jank is recognizable.
