I really don't understand how there isn't a gigantic backlash attached to this game. I've never in my life played a game that runs as bad as this game does in any major settlement. if I froze time and made it so no enemies could move it would probably take me about 45 minutes to kill 3 level 1 rad roaches. how does a AAA game get through quality assurance like this.

It runs perfectly fine on my machine, and I'm using hardware from 2012. Most other people don't seem to have trouble running it either. I think it's your computer, not QA.
Just blast em anyway, I can kill things higher level than me easily.
I can't blast them fast enough, playing on hard and this veteran raider three shots me in just a few seconds edit: I sneak shot one of the regular raider wasters in the head with a sniper rifle (57 damage) and it only took off a sixth of his life
you can find a full x-01 suit [sp]behind a locked gate/terminal inside a blue container at the national guard training yard[/sp]
Can you be more specific? I only found a T51b
The bad reviews are probably mostly due to technical issues. I managed to have very few issues and the game itself is great.
not really? the story is pretty garbage if you decide to follow the bos, institute, or minutemen. the crafting is irrelevant. the perks are mostly awful, especially the end-game perks that requires level 40+. the base building is awful and unintuitive on pc. the ui is just a general mess. using elevators as loading zones. etc.
You don't actually believe people are spending $60 to post a mean review on steam do you?
No, but I believe in the limits of /v/ spitefulness even less.
Can you be more specific? I only found a T51b
it's literally [sp]in a blue container a little north of the national guard training yard.[/sp] if you've already gotten the power armor there that means you weren't a high enough level for the x-01 to have spawned there.
Most of the complaints people have are either directed toward the game being too streamlined or not being enough like New Vegas. The majority of the reviews include direct comparisons to New Vegas and complaints that it doesn't do things like New Vegas, and the few that don't have that instead complain that the game is too streamlined or that most of the content is too easily accessible. Then there's people who complain about your character being a fixed guy (which has been a thing since fallout 1), some reviews say the female protag is "useless" because of her background (nevermind the part where she can operate power armor and has no issues with using any form of weaponry), and a ton of people complain that the dialogue wheel is too obtuse when it's not really that much of an issue (it's annoying to use the arrow keys, but having the dialogue summarized to a single word isn't that big of a problem. Your character won't drastically change tone and mood unless you pick opposing options and the dialogue options are always fitting to their position on the wheel). Basically 90% of the negative reviews can be discarded on the grounds that they're written by childish disgruntled players who expected something different entirely. 13 to 20 hours of gameplay isn't enough to judge the entire game.
not mine but we haven't gone far till someone does kim jong un
Someone needs to do Gaddafi with his stupid melting face.
Fuck this is ridiculous I'm pumping so many rounds into these assholes and it's taking so long for them to die that about five of them have just lined up on the other side of my cover and shoot me simultaneously whenever I pop out, not to mention the endless grenades Why are bodyshots so useless anyway? edit: Oh haha, I was still on survival mode. Piss

Will is respawn? Guess I'll just have to find all the parts.
Had time to play Fallout 4 finally and had a hilarious moment happen thanks to me only staying in first person and not noticing what I'm wearing. I was in the first quest talking to Preston Garvey when one of the options I picked was something like "That's ridiculous". Cue the glorious switch to third person, filling my screen with muscle wizard wearing an ushanka and thick welding goggles and almost a full set of raider armor. Gotta say though, the combination of ushanka and welding goggles Just Works™ with his face, I might keep them on for the rest of the game.
Anyone know what the scavenging station does?

Well at least if I can't run the game maybe I can make acool face
1) Seriously somebody show me how to make John Cena. 2) Will settlements every get attacked or are these defenses bullshit?
edit: Oh haha, I was still on survival mode. Piss
This is still fucking hard on Hard, there's this one twat in power armour and despite him not wearing any head armour sniper rounds to the head act like he's in full plate He's got two turrets backing him up too. What am I supposed to do against power armour users, bring a fat man every time I meet one?
1) Seriously somebody show me how to make John Cena. 2) Will settlements every get attacked or are these defenses bullshit?
Settlements do actually get attacked.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/4vOIw0G.jpg[/t] Are you shitting me
You seem enraged, maybe take a walk to calm down, wouldn't want to start a frenzy. :v:
Anyone know what the scavenging station does?
put it down, assign settler to it, generates random resources for crafting.
Settlements do actually get attacked.
settlements only get attacked if you build one of the recruiting tower radios

[t]http://i.imgur.com/yVS0gPz.jpg[/t] Little more than annoyed that Castle is the raddest place to shack up, but it's totally infested with unremovable (even with console command's disable function) dirt lumps from former Mirelurks. Way to ruin such a rad place. At least the pre-wiring and power, plus a bajillion beds, makes up for it.

4 is miles ahead in the gunplay and graphics department, but new vegas has a better setting and story.
One major gripe with the dialogue system I heard was that you can't turn anyone down and have to accept all quests. Is that really true?
One major gripe with the dialogue system I heard was that you can't turn anyone down and have to accept all quests. Is that really true?
Nah, there are multiple times where I could just say no to a quest, and I'm just back in Sanctuary making a settlement. But I'm too do everything to say no anyways.
I'm pretty sure you can just walk away when given dialogue choices.
someone make a raynor character and use the vault-tec x-01 power armor
