Idk if this has been answered yet, but how do I take a mod off of one weapon and put it onto another? I have two rifles, 1 with a bayonet and 1 with a full stock. I wanna swap one of these parts onto the other but I can't figure out how.
Also when you're attaching a mod you have in your inventory press e. I'm pretty sure one time I made a second scope instead of attaching the one I already had.

Also am I the only one he kind of finds melee fun in this fallout? I haven't delved to deep into it, but I tried it out at [sp]the combat zone so I could look like a badass[/sp]. I like how you have to time your blocks now. While not that complex (or realistic), it at least makes it melee more interactive. The feedback feels better too. I'm interested to see if mods take melee combat further.
The only issue is that quick grenade and strong attack are the same key so I sometimes drop a grenade in addition to swinging.
So yeah, finished the game. Ending was [sp]alright. The road there was more fun and satisfying though. Ended up siding with the Institute because all-in-all they seemed harmless and like the genuinely good people where as anyone I ever met from Brotherhood or Railroad were just kind of cynical, elitist douchebags.[/sp] For some reason I was oddly facinated by all the lipsyncing done on [sp]Father/Shaun[/sp]. It was so out of place compared to other characters because, well, it was great :v:
Anyway, since we're still posting characters, here's my ~pretty boy~ wearing Institute X-01 Power Armor.

wow the touch menu just don't fucking WOOOOOOORK for the steam controller in this game
it constantly changed to the weapon I don't have bound but in any other game it's fine
asdgadfgadfgadf
I don't want to have complicated mode shifting for this
one of the stalls in a building i was in spawns with the culling boundries off even when the door is open so when you're in the stall everything is broken

Possibly major spoilers?
[sp]C-can you drain the ocean...? I think I drained the ocean after lowering the water levels in a factory... I swear to god, I visited a shipwreck that was half under water, you had to swim to get to the bottom of this ship; now the water is at the bottom...[/sp]

anyone else use the steam controller using beta updates?
the touch menu is so fucked up in this game
Ok I need someone to be brutally honest with me, I want to throw financial responsibility out the window and grab Fallout 4. However, my big problem is my PC. It's a 2 year old Lenovo Ideapad with an Intel Core i7 3630QM @ 2.40GHz and a 2GB Nvidia 750M GPU. How would it run? Can it run? Is there any benchmark for it yet I can reference? I haven't been able to find one.
What exactly causes Dog's name to change to Dogmeat? I'm in Concord and he is still Dog. Wiki says after you meet the Minutemen, but he's still Dog even after reclaiming the castle.
Will he forever be named Dog?
Part of what I love about how Fallout 4 looks is it's art style. It looks a lot like the old Fallout 1 & 2 CGI stuff, in the best way.
turning off the dialogue camera really brings these feelings out for me, been more than a few occasions i was talking to someone in game and got flashbacks to fo1

When he's not your companion he's "Dogmeat", otherwise he's "Dog". I don't know why.

He get's renamed when you speak to Mama Murphy. She calls him Dogmeat and your character reacts to it. After that he's labeled Dogmeat.
hacking just sucks, god damn
init lockout init lockout like 5 times, i just pick random words because analyzing each one takes too much time anyway
spending 5 minutes at a terminal just to find out it disables a turret? bleh

assuming that it's not just a bog standard bethesda crash, if your windows 10 installation is an upgrade installation rather than a clean one then that could be a factor. it did a lot of that shit in a bunch of games for me before I did a clean reinstallation.

If you're shit at hacking like me just get Nick to do it
literally the same mechanic in fo3 and nv.
only played fo3, and i didn't bother there either
I've found that you can dismember raiders and other enemies just fine, but you can't dismember your settlers or people like Sully Mathis.
They're not necessarily essential because you can kill them, but why can't you dismember them?
are we still posting characters?
i'm glad bethesda now allows to create something that doesn't look like a potato

Don't worry, I play fallout 3 and new vegas and only just learned that by holding e I can drag stuff around. It was magical.
Characters? I made a woman on release, but she turned I to every character I've ever played in Fallout, so I made a new guy yesterday.
Greying hair, older, kind of skinny, yet toned. Melee and unarmed.

Huh? Even on Expert computers it usually takes me about a minute or so of randomly guessing.
And it's much faster to just close then reopen the computer once you reach one try left. It'll refresh your tries without having to wait 10 seconds.
Anyone else (randomish encounter spoiler) [sp]kill all of the missionary/scam artist people?[/sp]
[sp] Flirting with Piper makes her all embarrassed it's adorable [/sp] :v:
