i feel i might have messed up with some survivors can you get the porn guy and the gaben lookalike to follow you and add them to the bulletin board?
Should have really made a new thread because op hasn't been active in more than a month. Would be nice to be able to have stuff like FPS fixes and shit in the OP.
I'm really sad that they decided to keep the Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 DLC exclusive to the Xbox One. I'm able to play the game on low, but it still stutters like crazy. Still having fun though. I love that huge electric hammer weapon, throwing it into a horde is fucking awesome.
http://www.giantbomb.com/dead-rising-3/3030-42902/ says Super Ultra Dead Rising 3: Arcade Remix: Hyper Edition: EX plus α' is included, also do voice commands work on the pc?
I got the megaman suit but was missing the megabuster, it said to beat nightmare with a S rank so sure I'd do it, went in and played a bit but wanted to stop for later, pause game.. finds out you can't save your progress and continue it later.
I need to beat nightmare with a S rank in one sitting.. what the ffuucckk. I really want that megabuster
pause the game and unpause it when you're ready to continue?

You have to use the toilets in the safe houses to save the game in nightmare mode just like in the first two Dead Rising games. There are port-a-potties around town also.
On an unrelated note, I've had a lot of fun with Dead Rising 3. 14 hours of playtime and I got Ending S by just casually completing the main story and the side-missions. Now I'm going to try and collect as many blueprints and Frank statues as I can before heading out and completing Nightmare mode and the DLC.
I wouldn't buy a DR3 OTR honestly. The DR3 world just isn't as sandboxy and fun as DR2 and that makes it not worth it.
whats dr2 otr like? its still pretty expensive and the metacritic rating isnt great
Basically dr2 with frank, a few fixes, an alternate silly uncanon story, a liiiitlle bit more content and a full game price, which is probably the cause of the scores. On a sale i'd very much recommend it, or if someone doesn't own dr2 already.
It's fun, it adds a new area to play around in, an infinite modes which removes the timer, puts survivors in as enemies and new combo weapons and shit, if you can deal with the framerate issues (Unless they're not a problem on PC) then it's a good game.
Though I haven't played it on PC, only PS3, but it was fun on that.
Despite the horrible port, I've still been having a lot of fun with this.
Best moment had to be when my friend and I were in a fireworks shop, and something blew up, and suddenly there was fireworks everywhere and it felt like a warzone.
Looking forward to trying out nightmare mode because honestly, it's quite easy. I've never been killed and I'm on chapter 5 with like 3 days left.
It's not really that bad of a port though.

Off the Record's great, I wish more games would do the spin-off route with another character like that. If the game is as goofy and warrants it that is
Speaking of OTR, has anyone happened to encounter a infinite loading screen problem at case 7-4, right after you close the safe house doors because of the zombie infestation the game suddenly goes into infinite loading time. There was a fix telling me to disable multicore for it to load up properly on PCGamingWiki. Though the game has a real bad frame rate if I disabled it.
Is there any other way to fix it? Or do I have to keep on editing my settings everytime I get to that part in the game? I've re-installed the game, verified the game cache and restarted the story mode a bunch of times.

At the moment it is not included. Maybe they'll add it in the future.
Is there any way to increase the difficulty of individual zombies, like damage mods or something? The game's not easy, per se, but I want a huge challenge without having to go to Nightmare Mode, mainly because I hate having a forced time limit.
Only be active at night, perhaps?
I don't know, but the zombies get more numerous and threatening as the game goes on.

idk but my old, shitty pc (i3, gt640, 8gb) can run it on low with not too much problems (fps drops when huuuuuge numbers of zombies are on the screen but fine otherwise)
I'm way below those specs :(
Dang
I7 920 @ 2.67, 6GB, HD6970, and mauling zombies like a boss on mid-high with the ocassional stutter and FPS drops, but other than that, perfectly playable.
Lowering settings didn't help at all with FPS and/or stability by the way, in fact going from 720 to 1080 made my game run more fluently (plus it looks prettier), so I'd advise you guys to go Arma on this game, and try combinations of medium-high settings till you feel comfortable with your games performance.
This games too addictive.
So addictive I made a few GIF's.
Redneck wants his RV to go faster.

I love giving my fellow survivors spoiled food.

I'm just loving the fact that you can put the giant teddy bear in your inventory now unlike in OTR and DR2.

So how do you make especial executions with the sledge saw? I only managed to do it once. Pressing alt makes Nick grab the zombie and kick it away
Getting my new pc in october, really cant wait to play this.
Oh wow, they included all the dlc weapons, and some of them are fucking awesome. Really enjoying this game
Fuck the hate this game has been getting, I played this game all weekend had a fucking blast.
There are quite a few things different/missing from the previous games, but after completing it with an S-rank ending, I can honestly say it's was worth the price. Seeing [sp]certain characters returning[/sp] was cool.
Through inferring the time passed since the previous games, it's a good bet that [sp]frank west is either dead or too old to be actively involved anymore, since Chuck was 30-ish in DR2 and Frank West was already 50-ish. Now that Chuck looks late-50's and Katey in her late 20's, Frank West is probably in the ground or an old-folk's home.[/sp]
They seem to have left out a few unique reactions to items compared to the previous games; most things are just just used to clobber enemies.
An example of this is the shower head; in previous games you could jam it through the skull of a zombie, and it would drain their blood through it until they dropped dead.
That seems to have been replaced by just wacking them with it.
Most items seem behave like others in their categories, with a few exceptions for crafting or otherwise unique items.
I get the impression that more diverse behavior from generic items was traded in for more unique combo-weapons.
Granted, a lot of new items have some form of unique reactions, but I miss throwing a gumball machine and making a zombie-slip-and-slide.
I do like that you can craft from your inventory now, but when you unlock the alternative recipes, things get... weird.
Combine-plant-with-battery-to-make-robot-cat levels of weird.
I think my favorite part was when you [sp]make a fucking cyborg flame-thrower arm out of some scrap[/sp].
this game's getting hate because the pc port is un optimized as all fuck
this game's getting hate because the pc port is un optimized as all fuck
It runs pretty poorly, but it still ran okay for me (50fps, dipping to 40 here and there).
It could definitely use a patch.
Does this happen to anyone else? When I uncap my games FPS, there are times where suddenly mouse movement doesn't even register anymore and I would have to reload the a checkpoint to fix but would end up happening again somewhere down the line. And when I get frame drops it doesn't just drop from like 60 to 50 it would go from 60 to 5 for like 2 secs then steady 60 again.
