Dead Rising 3 runs disgustingly, and being someone whos eyes take a good 20 minutes to get used to 60fps again (from running mostly everything above 90-100fps) it dicks my eyes over fluctuating from 30-60, and i can honestly say i cant play a game at 30fps (well atleast not games controlled by mouse, side scrollers i probably could)
Wow, you guys are fags, I've been having to play it at like 20 - 30 FPS and that barely bothers me, yet you're all bothered that it goes to 50 or 40, maybe even 30 oh noes. Also I just completed it and got Ending S, fun game, will play again.

When GTA IV came out I played it at the lowest possible setting with like 640x360 stretched to a huge monitor and it still would only work on max 30 fps when I was lucky and I would play it for hours and hours but nowdays I can't even touch MGS4 on my PS3 due to the 30 fps. Having a decent PC really spoilt me.

Atleast you guys can run it smoothly! Is there any weapon more powerful than the elemental staff? That thing mows down thousands of zombies without a problem.
I'm going to be dead honest, and I'm gonna get some shit for it, but maybe it's from my years of playing new Vegas at 10-20 fps, and playing consoles all my life, but I think that 30fps looks fine. When people get all snobby and say that unless it runs at 60+ it's garbage it really annoys me. I get 30 solid on high settings and the game looks good. Unless it's unplayable it's fine, suck it up and stop nitpicking. The game is really fun and people are letting the fact that it doesn't always get 60fps get in the way of their enjoyment.

However when someone has a PC that should be more than capable of handling 60fps+ it becomes quite the issue. I have to say too, running at 900p to get an almost solid 60fps is actually a better experience so far than 1080p at 30fps.
I've already beat the game with a coop buddy with about 20+ hours in with solid 30fps and I had fun, I'm currently replaying the game on nightmare for the megabuster, I just want to see the game now in fps more then 30. With my FPS uncapped the only thing that's getting in the way of my fun is the mouse refusing to register and massive dips.
I hope my CPU is okay handling this, it goes to around 60c, which is where it starts to get warm, I have a water color so 60c isn't much of a worry like before, 60c just gets warm and I get kinda paranoid about it. It's an i5-3570k.
The game story chapters confuse me, im alredy on chapter 3 i believe? and im not even on day 2! Should i just fuck arround with side missions until days progress or its fine?
I think it was the same for me. Chapter 3 or 4 on day 2. Some chapters fly by, while others take a little more time. Its totally fine, but I would advice doing side missions and exploring, totally adds to the experience! [editline]8th September 2014[/editline] I love the music randomly playing on stereos or in cars. Especially the one in the musician's house and this one: Too bad no car endured long enough to listen to the entire song :v:
Hey.. How can I play Co-Op with my friend? We're both at the garage near the beginning of the story mode, where a message displays at top of screen 'Co-Op is now available'. I see no option for Co-Op in the 'Online' section in the main menu.
Is there any weapon more powerful than the elemental staff? That thing mows down thousands of zombies without a problem.
Ultimate Shout is the best weapon, personally speaking of course.
This is fine right?
I've got an i3 3220 and mine is fine. You are more than set.
I have the final pre-50 upgrade for ranged weapons (Piercing bullets) The split shot is godly to clear waves. Also playing in coop its SCHOOL GIRL SHARK AND BULL wrecking shit up Also even though I played DR2 with keyboard and mouse I find myself using a controller way more in this. Probably because of the driving
Runs on ultra-lowest settings on my E6600 2.4GHz with 4GB RAM. Barely. Stuff pops up like 5 m away from me.
Yeah, same here. I go to a friends sometimes who still plays most things at 30 on pc, i dunno man just feels garbage, hurts my eyes. And yes GHOST!!!! I'm a humongous dick sucking faggot because my eyes are adjusted to a higher frame rate, i'm sorry for my faggyness of fps fluctuations annoys you.
I think if your eyes hurt from looking at 30 fps you have other problems like do your eyes literally bleed at a movie theater
I think if your eyes hurt from looking at 30 fps you have other problems like do your eyes literally bleed at a movie theater
The movement is fine, the added motion blur i dont care for, its just the flow of the mouse movements that feel crap.
The movement is fine, the added motion blur i dont care for, its just the flow of the mouse movements that feel crap.
yeah thats not the framerate thats the mouse acceleration
yeah thats not the framerate thats the mouse acceleration
It's in every game not just DR. anyway enough on it
i really want to like this game but its impossible because of the shoddy port it should run well on my gtx 660 and phenom x4 II 965 i think but it stutters like fuck on low even
Like it's been said before it's not the port its the game itself that's badly optimized. The xbox one isn't the most powerful machine but it's still pretty good and console hardware is easier to develop on, yet the game ran at 30fps 720p and had several frame drops through the game. There is just so much shit on screen the game literally can't handle it. Also I'm running it on a Phenom x4 830 and a 560Ti yet I don't suffer from any stutters.

I haven't had any slowdown except for one or two spots in the game where it'd drop to 25 to 20 frames.
My 8gigs of Ram, R9 270x gigabyte, i5-3570k PC gets around 40-50 FPS normal in Dead Rising 3, this is normal right?

welp just beat nightmare with a S ending, had some random player join me and he already had the megabuster and he stocked up on a crap load of them and gave some to me. Beat the final boss by having him stun locked with the megabuster...
That reminds me. Hasn't every single final boss fight of Dead Rising games (atleast the main ones) been a fucking awesome fist fight on some kind of platform surrounded by zombies?
