So can other players see your player customizations? Everybody seems to have the same HECU and HEV suit models, so it doesn't seem like the model changes or face changes are applying. Even when I die it just shows the default models rather than my customizations.
is the jump module in any of the multiplayer maps? my favorite memories of half life 1 multiplayer was using that jump module to leap and maul people with the crowbar
Bounce, Subtransit, Lambdabunker, Undertow, Gasworks, Stalkyard. More to come in free updates; both remakes and brand new layouts.
will crossfire be a returning map? it was my favorite map, especially the nuke.
Loading my save in the first map of On a Rail caused the opening track to play again. I was already at the tram power/water puzzle when I saved.

I was using that and the shotgun as I zipped around a map mopping everyone up at point blank. It was delightful.
I guess a positive of officially being on Steam and Early Access means that it's far easier to patch issues that crop up, compared to having to pick apart feedback from just flat-out complaints and then offering advice solely on how to fix matters on a person's end or else being stuck with things.
Is it just me, or do the new marine lines sound kind of... robotic? In combat they sound fine, but their new scripted lines sound really flat at times. "So. Who is this guy. Freeman."
Is there anyway to force ambient occlusion? The old method for the free version using Nvidia inspector doesn't work.
So how exactly do you survive the apache intro You can't run in water anymore and that thing is mercyless. literally no way to swim, climb and get in that building without dying

AI improvement, animation overhaul, voice actor change. Yet they can't make a simple proper muzzle flash sprite that doesn't look like the flames from a lighter.
AI improvement, animation overhaul, voice actor change. Yet they can't make a simple proper muzzle flash sprite that doesn't look like the flames from a lighter.
That's probably not a very high priority.
Just realised that the captions for HECU are kinda wonky. A dude said "This is messed up, man" and the subtitles read [Pain Sounds]. Also, I set npc_marines_movementspeed to 10 and watched them zip around the map like roadrunners. :v:
Is it me or the other new voice in the test chamber will fit Eli more? If anyone knows what I mean. EDIT: Why is it called the Hazardous Environment Vehicle Suit?
Any word on when the SDK will be available?
The gauss gun model is probably the prettiest thing in the entire game.
Is it just me, or pressing the RMB doesn't make Gordon fiddle around with the gluon gun anymore? So far, the MP5 changea are great. The recoil feels a lot like HLS, you have to pull your mouse down if you're firing in long bursts, and one mouse click equals 1 shot (not three) - which makes sense consodering the new recoil. The burst mode on the Glock is back and is really useful at the beginning of the game. These small changes really affect the overall feel of the gunplay, I think the team did a great job.
Any word on when the SDK will be available?
Check your BMS installation directory, pretty sure I saw Hammer and that kind of stuff included somewhere.
When will you be able to upload stuff to workshop?
also, to people who want to use non-workshop addons with the new version of Black Mesa, you need to load them as .vpks in the addons folder, not the (nonexistent) custom folder. It doesn't seem to like loose files in addons or their respective directories. I'm going to try out various addons for Black Mesa and see how broken they are.
So more akin to L4D2 and presumably Portal 2 in terms of branch in handling addons, rather than the VPK custom folders for updated older games.
Is the old version of Black Mesa running on Source 2007 or 2013?
Source 2007. The new one runs on a modified Source 2013 version.
Everyone bought the new BMS on steam, and here I am, still playing on the original mod version...
I love the little details at the start of the game, like [SP]how some of the scientists/guards wave or salute you as you pass by on the train, or the reactions of those scientists who had a bet on whether Gordon would arrive, or one of my favorites, before the elevator down to the Test Chamber control room there's a scientist who just stares at those moving posters and compliments how good he looks whenever a poster with him in it shows up.[/SP] Really makes the facility feel alive.
Starting to wish I had cash to buy this :v: it literally came out of no where and I was so unprepared :<
When will you be able to upload stuff to workshop?
You are already able. I've written a guide for how to do it, I am setting it up now. Will post here when ready, should be very shortly.
Hahaha, LOVING the old crowbar balancing. Just hit a crate so hard I punted it forward, and while in midair, hit it mid-flight so it shattered. It looked like I just blasted it into a cone of splinters with my superhuman strength. It speeds up crate-checking and makes the damn thing DESIRABLE to use instead of just "so I can save ammo." Been a while since playing the mod, so I forgot a few things, like the new placement of the crowbar. Pretty sure the graphics overlay when you first put on the suit and it boots up is new though, and really freaking cool. Makes the suit feel like a bigger deal. EDIT: By the way, what are "blobby shadows," and are they a good thing or not?
looks like the first custom DM map is out... http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=438202269&searchtext=
