Is the team going to publish the source code at some point? I've already asked this twice before and didn't get any answer.

I know that you obviously can't publish engine code but I'm interested in what's preventing you from publishing game code only, similar to the official Source SDK.
At least release the Source 2007 mod one.

Someone was pretending to be one of the characters.
HECU Marines got improved in some aspects but became even more annoying in some other aspects. Most prominently, they shoot in MUCH longer bursts (8 to 16 shots). Also, they're still way too accurate and health buff was unnecessary considering already reduced headshot damage multiplier (2 from 3). And about accuracy, I've checked changelog and script file again, and 5 degrees spread, seriously? That's twice as accurate compared to HL1 Marines, that's more accurate than Combine Soldiers ever were. In fact, that's base HL2 SMG accuracy used by player and rebels. I don't know the exact numbers of 2012 release but it feels like they're now more accurate than they were there.
Any news on MenteR's Alien Grunt redux so far?

I'm just curious, how hard would it be to make a simple mod that makes it so HECU hold onto their weapon for a few seconds on death and keep firing until the ragdoll stops moving?
I think you would need source code access for that.

Not exactly surprising that it's dead. Between the lack of updates and the fact that you have to pay for it, (which i might add it's pretty much just HL1 multiplayer with better graphics, and visuals or is it not?), does it surprise anyone that its dead?
I mean it took them 3 years to just release the MP and Xen is still years away.
I think some massive gameplay customization options would bring some people in. Then again, I've thought that every MP game should have comprehensive options to make minigames and party type shit since Halo 3 nailed that shit so hard. Half Life is a good framework for that kind of shit too.
and when I say that I mean like the host would have a bunch of sliders that they can use to universally change health and speed and gravity and stuff like that and build new objective scoring methods.
And objective gametypes would help too.
I just wanted CTF and an infection-type gamemode.
