It is in one of the offices near where you encounter the first security guard. I hope this is also in SP. It really helps set the crossbow apart from other weapons feedback wise, I don't care if it doesn't make sense.

The in-development maps are pretty cool. It's always fun to see developer's notes flying mid-air and unfinished set pieces

Please devs, can you add a gibbing noise? It's strange blowing up somebody with a shotgun and hearing a standard death grunt instead.
I like the new shotgun model but anyone else feel like the textures on it could be just a bit better? I don't want to sound like an asshole, I really don't, I think the new update is great, but it looks like there's sand stuck in the shotgun or something. It looks odd to me. Am I the only one? Seriously though, good job on the update guys.

Honestly, it wouldn't work with the original late 90's sci-fi style of the original Half-Life. It fits better with the modernized style of Black Mesa more. Infact, arguably it'd probably fit in Half-Life 2, because let's be honest, the Combine carrying around stockless, unmodified SPAS-12s was kind of ridiculous. Among other weapons.

Wonder if there was anything planned or if they're just pre-made assets for modders to utilize in the future? Definitely seems like a zombies PVP mode kind of thing.
Pipe Wrench might be for Op4 vs Scientists CTF
It'd be cool if one team was humans and one was headcrabs. Head crabs could utilize vents, small cracks in walls and pipes to surprise the humans. The goal would be for headcrabs to latch on all humans and then kill whatever remaining survivors. Maybe have a headcrab hive (I forget what the big giant headcrab boss is called) could be a primary target for the humans, if neautralized headcrabs can no longer respawn if killed, then the game would end once all the following headcrabs are killed. Just a silly idea. Maybe have some NPC humans to make the game seem more full, and to make it easier for headcrabs to not get owned by players. Once zombified, zombies have decently high health, they can melee humans or fling boxes or barrels to attack, proving a great distraction for a headcrab player sneak up and latch on. If all humans are eliminated, the zombie team wins.

The team added some more high res v_model blood textures by default.
All the model that use HEV hands, they all have full animations ESPECIALLY the wrench. I dont think these are left overs, I'm thinking theyre used for something There also seems to be a model that acts as terrain for Xen, its just a standard hill filled valley though with no textures

I hopped in BM to look at the new stuff. Not sure about the shotgun. I love the front part but the back with the rails looks too massive and blocky.
