On page 7, what images are there? Are they before and after shots of development?

Like, seriously this is awesome. You don't need to have sv_cheats enabled to use phys_pushscale on ridiculous values. Just apply it and shoot physics objects.
On page 9 there's seem to be a picture of an area that I don't remember in the mod. I think I know where it is and it could mean they are adding back areas from Surface Tension. Or it's a MP map or old picture.

It does look like Surface Tension Uncut, probably a mistake on GI's end. It could also be from development.
The image on the 2nd page I've never seen before, it is from development obviously, different wall textures, the corridor isn't finished and the logo from the Biological section of the facility on the floor.

It might be from the infamous leak back when it was Black Mesa Source and not just Black Mesa.
That upper picture is a shot from our actual cut version of that surface tension area. I found that when I was searching through my archives when looking for pictures to give to Issac Perry, who wrote that article.

Yeah, ST wasn't uncut originally, but sections were cut 'cause one of the mappers responsible for it left the project. It's a shame, but on the bright side it let Text rise to prominence with his uncut remake (and later his OAR expansion) and even land a spot on the Dev team!

Is Barney coming back for the retail release? That was the one thing that disappointed me about the mod. They even said there was going to be one Barney and I remember hearing voice files from an impersonator and he sounded amazing. :(

Well, the Security Guard in the tram area could be a reference to B. Calhoun from Blue Shift, because he doesn't have his armour or helmet.
Also the files you heard were probably just one of the Generic Guards, voiced by Debeerguy

in blue shift, Barny doesn't get his armor or helmet until he's through those doors.

Saw it on the BM forums, posted by one of the devs. No idea which version of BM it is, mod or Retail, he did say.
One differences I can see is in the Load menu there, the saves now say the Chapter name not the map file name.
The Map in the background also has more Grass

I would say it's the mod version, as the scroll bar looks to have that always selected look in the Source 2013 build.
