Some of us see it as a game in itself.
This is gonna be sweet.
Both. Indeed it shall. We will also be patching up the free/mod version as well. There is no current time frame I can disclose. That we surely are my friend. We are working very hard, with the resources and codebase that we have, to make a truly meaningful retail release. We have a select few working on these enhancements which in no way affects our overall goals. The enhancement team's job is to do just that, until it's time. It will be treated just like any other retail game on steam, with it's own separate application folder. Some of us see it as a game in itself.
I wish so desperately you guys could a full retail release in stores. You guys have put in so much time, care and effort that you deserve to reach such a wide release.
Estimated release date? This year? next one? or beyond 2015? Can you tell us something, dev?
Estimated release date? This year? next one? or beyond 2015? Can you tell us something, dev?
Probably not.
Even with the current release i'm surprised modding hasn't been more prevalent. I thought it was going to absolutely explode and become both a revival and successor to the HL1 modding scene but aside from some tiny independent projects and a couple of "Uncut" additions there isn't much. Please for the love of god, if they can't agree on a release of the source (allowing people to fix a whole array of issues while adding additional functionality) I hope they don't make a bunch of stuff hardcoded or locked down. People got so creative with the npcs and entities and left over assets in Half-Life and we got some hilarious scenarios out of it. Really hope people won't have to run into and work around any special conditions or specially scripted behavior when it comes to the npcs, entities, and the like with Black Mesa. I can't remember what their official stance on modding was exactly but it'd be a hell of a contradiction to not consider any of this if they ever actively encourage it; which they totally should.
Thankfully they changed their posture of "we aren't going to allow our stuff to be used by others" for licensing it under a CC license. They always said they "may" would release the code when it gets finished.

'cause i'm kind of digging my army of guys right now. They're constantly talking to each other and unloading a million bullets at every headcrab.
Thats one of the best parts of of Office Complex. Seeing just how large you can make your team.
^^
Thank you for the answer -_- *sarcasm* I hate these types of answers. You (the team) really don't have a clue on a deadline? this year, next one..... So I have to guess you'll release it in 2+ years (seeing you're so afraid of talking about this)................ God dammit.........
Thats one of the best parts of of Office Complex. Seeing just how large you can make your team.
I used to do that in Half-Life Source [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/921242735981916754/DAF79A9E2EE0CE1A62E33F63C833A3712D144231/[/t] It's awesome because the guards seem to hit every shot, even midair headcrabs

Remember what happened to the 2009 release date?
If they give you a deadline without being sure they can meet it, you'll either complain when they miss the date and delay it, or complain when they release an unfinished game on that date. Long-distance deadlines don't do anyone any good, just be a patient, understanding little fan and wait until they're ready to let us know something. I'm digging the glock, I'd have to see the hands more before I get critical.
I think the hands might be from that one animation revamp, but the Glock is spectacular. Great work!
Where is the image from anyway?
it is a mystery [t]http://puu.sh/azqJt/577a510600.jpg[/t]
I was just gonna ask for the shotgun in game. looks amazing
Please whatever you do; don't make the weapon sound effects loud enough to destroy your ears. The previous improvement pack that was released had such loud sounds and had no character at all. The pack is fucking awesome can't wait to see more.
it is a mystery [t]http://puu.sh/azqJt/577a510600.jpg[/t]
Could we get a pack without the revamp arms(Personally I liked BMS' normal arms)?
so basically HD interpretations of the HL1 models?
I'm going to die when he shows the mp5.
I'm going to die when he shows the mp5.
With mismatching world/view models too!
I never cared how mp5s look in real life, the one from half life will always be my favorite.
it is a mystery [t]http://puu.sh/azqJt/577a510600.jpg[/t]
sheeeeeeit [editline]1st August 2014[/editline]
Could we get a pack without the revamp arms(Personally I liked BMS' normal arms)?
The revamp pack overall was a bit too tacticoool for me, though the arms I really liked
Oh, you're the guy that did the animation+models mod. I loved that (my only complaint was the revolver was a bit too big) and really enjoying these new items.
it is a mystery [t]http://puu.sh/azqJt/577a510600.jpg[/t]
Looking at the original, your attention to detail is impressive!
