Nothing new guys?
Hey fellas, a new wip, a classic style Health Charger screen, and is an animated texture. I need to fix some things and I will upload soon.

I hope they fix the fps issues in the big fight at the end of Lambda Core for the steam release.
Steam release for BMS soon, probably. Spotted the TF2 characters on their homepage + their image names are "DLC_Valve_(1-3)"

some of the things in the image have black outlines, the Pyro, the Blast door to the right and parts of the machinery behind the pyro.

Found this image on the site, it isn't used at all, though its labelled "image1" so it must have been there since it launched, just unused

the source style "S" is also gone from the logo on the homepage. Though that may have been missing since the new site launched I never noticed.
It is still on the forum header image.

I'm pretty sure I have seen this image before, they probably removed it now that they added the pyro image.

Possible.

Comment from the source page <!-- Valve DLC Promo image 1 -->
Matches the image names, so probably BM inspired TF2 items, maybe a pre-order page.
[editline]18th August 2014[/editline]
BM was updated 4 hours ago and 3 people are playing.
Also "Black Mesa" is gone from the Steam Avatar List.

Wow, I don't remember that. Can you have somewhere a pic or a link?

That doesn't look half bad actually, I could easily see that as an actual TF2 map.
I'd love to play a TF2 themed version of Black Mesa.
It's Source Filmmaker content imo, because there's a mystery DLC with 4 GB of content coming to the SFM soon.
it's a question of noise, not contrast. The lighting should be accentuating and presenting the scene, not hamfistedly shoving itself into the composition

excellent use of high contrast lighting, full utilization of levels, broad sweeping colors that actually shade and light the level instead of trying to be an active part of its forms

point lights that try to become shapes on its own serving as overlaid additive noise to an already busy scene (and also not realistic. warehouses are well lit. look at the original. even if this particular warehouse had a surplus of cheap-but-absurdedly strong orange lamps, the orange lighting is more than strong enough to bounce onto the ceiling again, softening up the lighting), sickening orange-grey contrast for the wow, cinematic!!! while using an sort-of-different (but not different enough to have any kind of artistic or functional meaning) color for the left side because idk lol, and on top of that, it's not even contrasted: most of the tone level is on the bottom. in a multiplayer map. i hope they have flashlights
You seriously need to chill out about that shot mate. It's really old, Stalkyard looks absolutely nothing like that anymore. I assure you we're taking the upmost consideration to ensure the maps are well lit for a perfect combination of gameplay and atmosphere. It's part of the reason we're taking so long. It's a learning process for us too, remember? We're not professionals, but we're shooting for a super high standard.
So far, we've had Day of Defeat, Blade Symphony and Portal content packs... What'll the next one be? Hopefully L4D content, as we've yet to see the higher-poly versions of the orignal Survivors!

the only reason he was so estatic and in-depth about it was because someone wanted a real answer to why it was a bad design, due to an spiraling discussion on how level design works. if you've changed it, awesome, but the other guy tried to describe it as not being "boring" and someone said it was a bad image and yadda yadda yadda point is the only reason he tore it up was because the argument asked for that.
+ we don't know what goes on behind the scenes so we don't see the time and consideration that goes into it. relativity n' all that.

Sure, that's fine! We all love criticism, we subject one another and ourselves to it on a daily basis. That post just came across as more of a rant to me - which I just wanted to point out was odd considering that screenshot is AT LEAST a year old, if not significantly older. Stalkyard looks absolutely nothing like that now (completely redone from scratch, if I remember correctly), and JP has been doing an outstanding job on it.
well in that case I fully trust in JP's outstanding abilities

Probably not "soon" they're still releasing heavy WIP images. Probably a pre-order page

That would make sense with the image of the pyro in the test chamber .
