Interestingly the last time I checked, it had the "these things" video on the old layout. The layout has changed but the notice hasn't been updated.

edit: I really like the new design in the BM forums imo.
It works great on mobile devices too
New design is flashy, but I don't like the blurry text and the difference between [I]read[/I] and [I]unread[/I] isn't immediately apparent, you have to look for it. Also I can't find the little button you click that takes you back to the last post you read in a thread so you start at the new posts.

I only recall like one of those dingy-ass refrigerators appearing in the game at all and it's a static prop so you can't even see the back
IIRC that was a reused HL2 prop. Maybe now it'll be a physics prop since it has a workable back end.

Even if it's just a static prop, it can be nice to use for personal reasons, such as using it in your own map.
I like the fact that he made extra vertices for the support studs of the condenser coils.

Been thinking since HL1 and Duke3D were pretty similar gameplay wise, i might try making a duke3d-style city map with a lot of interactivity stuff once BMDM comes out

I rarely check news about BM but recently I saw few posts saying they are looking forward to BM release this year. Did I miss some bit of information or are they just thinking the BM devs are near the end?

I didn't make it clear, sorry. Here on FP there was a thread for games you are looking forward to in 2015. Most people posted games that are supposed to be released this year but couple of them mentioned BM. I asked in the thread but no one answered so I asked here. I know it's surely just wishes but I wanted to check if by chance I missed some news.

Goddamn those sprites look awful, for fluorescent fixtures one should use three of them, at a low brightness so they look more decentralized.
My favourite thing about the mod is the viewmodels getting covered in blood, i'm surprised more games don't include it.
Why not none of them? We have fluorescent lights in our kitchen, and they don't look bleed light like that at all. In general I think Black Mesa went [I]way[/I] overboard with the light bleeding effect, they use it on [I]every[/I] light, even the dim ones. It should only be for bright or high-intensity lights, in actually bright areas or on flood lights.

It bugs me quite a bit when you see the seams on them, like in the picture above. Is there a way to fix this?

I think Dark Messiah did that as well. Its just something you can enable in the code.

I wish would've known what that was going to be before I middle-click opened that on a new tab. Volume was high, scared the shit out of me.
Also it's probably just an easter egg. It's not really about anything that could be related to Xen or an ARG
