Counter Strike Source already has that ages ago. Edit: explain the dumbs, css already has proper reload for player models.
They mean accurate animations with clip dropping: [vid]http://s.gvid.me/s/2015/04/29/Afi998.webm[/vid] CSS has weird janky stuff at best: [vid]http://s.gvid.me/s/2015/04/30/SMB522.webm[/vid]
Oh man I'm so hyped for the Steam release of Black Mesa.
Honestly, so long as they confirm some of the issues are fixed, I don't mind paying something like $10 or more for a refurbished, fixed up and better-performing version of Black Mesa with multiplayer. Xen is a different matter altogether, but still - by itself, while not perfect, Black Mesa is pretty much professional quality besides the AI and the voice-acting, and they say they're rectifying both.

The scientist and barney voices are spot on in my opinion
Only one that seemed really off was Eli's, but they've recast him AFAIK, they had a open casting thread on the forum a year or so a go, so I assume they found someone.
This is addressed to any BM devs here aka TextFamGuy1. I just noticed in the sound files, there are lines for the female VOX clearly meant to be played during Office Complex titled C1A2_x, with x ranging from 00 to 11. However, in the game_sounds_announcement.txt file these are omitted entirely, and they never play during Office Complex or anywhere. Was this an accidental omission, or was it on purpose? Will adding in the respective entries for the sound files enable them to play during Office Complex, or are the maps not set up to play any VOX lines during that chapter? Will they be re-implemented in the retail release?
Could be related to the automated tool they used to clean up unused and left over assets (unfortunately for modders) which broke stuff in the mod release if I remember right. Somebody said it would all be fixed for the next version, so we'll see. That was a long time ago though.
No, that was that they accidentally removed the actual files for the after-WGH VOX. Unless the automated tool they used can go inside text files and delete certain sections, this wasn't accidental. Besides, the VOX lines I'm talking about are already present, just unused. I'm going to try adding in the lines to the announcement text file to see if they are used. EDIT The Office Complex maps don't use the VOX lines, even though they're defined in the text file.

Hey guys. Just want to drop bye and leave this here what Brian posted in the BM forums not too long ago.
This one was pointed out in testing.....I detailed this one a few months back. .I tried to use as much of the old texture as possible since its a nice one and it is one of the first pieces you see walking around the game. UV usage was a bit on the cramped side but had some areas that were really blurry. I changed around some bits and added in the paper and tags into empty spaces on the UV. Hopefully it now will stand up to better up close examination.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CTOEdoO.jpg[/t] http://forums.blackmesasource.com/index.php/Thread/27766-BBMIP-18ish/?postID=606331#post606331
If only it were possible to get some actual RTs on those rather than faked screens. Though that'd be up to the level designer wouldn't it. [editline]30th April 2015[/editline] I don't know what I'm talking about so don't hurt me if it's not actually RT screens I'm thinking of.
Pretty sure they're basically just cameras broadcasting their view to a texture. Which means you'd have to create entire areas of map, which would stress the engine more than Black Mesa already did to crazy degrees, just for some screens that are mainly background detail. But then I have a habit of being wrong about this stuff. v:v:v
Hey TEXT, a while ago I heard that you guys were re recording the HEV suit lines with the actress that did the tram announcement. Did that ever go through?
What do the numbers mean? And all I see is G-man and I don't know if what is happening is from HL2 or the endgame tram sequence because of the stars traveling light speed in the background. G-man speech is blurry in the background as well.
I get this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/VwG3AXY.png[/t]
they decided on the valve ones
We recorded our own HEV suit lines.
What do the numbers mean?
days, hours, minutes
days, hours, minutes
Then how come... OOohh different time zones. right.
Then how come... OOohh different time zones. right.
I second this. I think it ends at May 5 10:47 am regardless of timezone. It means that whatever timezone you are in, it's still 10:47 am. EDIT: It uses local clock. Changed the date to May 5 and the numbers became - hours/minutes/seconds EDIT 2: It will just freeze at one second?

We recorded our own HEV suit lines.
Awesome, nice to hear. The old ones were really low quality, 8-bit i think. Congrats on the steam release too.
Why not 8:47 AM?
What do the numbers mean?
The numbers, Freeman! What do they mean?!
Ever since I joined the official forums, I'm bugged to see that there aren't any threads or updates on the "Patches" section in the "News and Dev Updates" . There really doesn't seem to be a point of adding it there if nobody is going to post there anyway.
it's probably 8:47 AM in what was it, central time? not a time zones person
Didn't they use the same count down for the Mod release as well? 8:47 AM New Mexico time? [editline]1st May 2015[/editline] Also who says the countdown is for the steam release? It is on the ARG website, it could be for something else. Maybe a trailer, or something ARG related [editline]1st May 2015[/editline] Oh I'm dumb. It is also on the official website
