Same base version as the one HL2 is using ever since the steampipe update (the one with VPK support). Naturally they could have taken things from other versions of source but it definitely seems based on Source version 24.
I really want to replace the HGrunt voices with the original ones from HL; but that would be stupid, considering I haven't even heard the new ones

How do I get rid of the free version from my library? Normally there's a "Delete Local Content" button, but there isn't. There's no need for the free version anymore since the paid version is out.

The black mesa menu in the options doesn't work, just like the mod version.. why? There's also no way to disable the blood on hands which I want to because the alien blood effects is still really bad quality

Just out of curiosity, how does one apply simple mods like retextures to the paid version? I figured since it is on the HL2 VPK branch a 'custom' folder should do it, but it doesn't affect the game at all

It must be done through the workshop, or you can just put it in the folder its intended to go in. Our content is in VPKs so it won't be replacing anything. We're putting up workshop guides shortly.
Quick question. Is there the option to be asian in multiplayer? Cause it would be neat to try and recreate myself and have strangers on the internet murderize me tenderly.

So whats up with this fullbright thing? I followed the steps on the last page to use mat_hdr_level 2 and mat_fullbright 0 but it still leaves some things fullbright until a map change, and it resets every time I start the game (even when I set them in launch options or autoexec).
They want to tie Xen into HL2 some how? Make HL1/BM feel like it is in the same universe as HL2
So are they going to do the Vortigaunt uprising or is that still hush hush?

Whoever did the alternate route in Office Complex, either you FarmTextGuy1, or any other team mapper, deserves my gratitude. I always thought about the leftover elements that can be find in HL1 on the sentry emplacement, maybe some sort of hidden item location (there is shotgun ammo there in fact), and I'm glad someone took that chance to imaginate that in BMS.
Does anyone have the soldier voice lines, I really want to hear them Did they retain the filters from the free version? I liked those filters
is it just me, or does the paid version look better than the mod one? it's a long time since I played the original release, but this feels so much better visually
