What happened was after I restarted my game windows 10 told me my anniversary update needed to be reinstalled, so when after I did that I went to the windows store and it told me I had to reinstall the game although I could see the 80gbs sitting in WindowsApps.
Mine just says it needs to be reinstalled then gets stuck at 387mb :\

I already regret buying this game, I can't even properly download it on the store, like I paused it because my internet was going slow as shit and I wanted to watch a video on YouTube, then when resume it, the 10 GB it had download has magically disappeared and now I'm back to having to download it again, also pausing seems to temporarily freeze the store for about 10 - 20 seconds.
Rockstar's downloader is the same but fuck me, at least it's responsive and doesn't delete what I've downloaded.

Like this is annoying as fuck, I pause it, resume it once it's stopped acting like shit, it downloads about 40 - 50 MB, then stop downloading, like how the fuck does Microsoft have such a piece of downloader? It's really fucking annoying.

Yeah it looks like my 300-400mb update is going to turn into an 80gb one. Right now its at 809mb of 809mb and is steadily going higher and higher. The PC version of the game is great, but this store front is so fucked.

Its a shame because Windows 10 + UWP isn't actually that bad. But windows store should do with a whole facelift and rework.

AFAIK that's been fixed, at least for me, it prompted where to install Gears when I went to download it from the Store (though it may have been because I didn't have enough space on C:\).
Otherwise, you can set the default install drive via Settings.

It can still happen. I have one PC that can't download it while my other one can despite not haven't enough from on the C Drive. It was "fixed" have Halo 5 Forge came out but it seems like some people are still having the issue.
Christ, I waited a whole four days just to play and when I get back home I'm greeted with a "Could not complete installation."
Fan-fucking-tastic. I really don't want to regret buying this, but Microsoft's shitty method of dealing with this is making it really hard not to.
Anyone having issues with downloading the newest update, try launching the game from the xbox app. That fixed the download for me.
Is it just my usually shitty internet, or does downloading this game take obscenely long? It's been 6 hours and I'm still under 50%...
Well what's your download speed at? Get NetBalancer and find out there, mine's downloading, or was downloading, at 1 MB/s and it's only just recently got to 6 GB, and it's been download for like, 2 hours 20+ Mins.
This all sucks because the game is really fucking good. Microsoft is at fault here

KB + M definitely, it might feel awkward at first if you're use to the controller, but I think it's fantastic. They added individual sensitivity sliders for all the separate aims on mouse for Gears 4. There's a reason PC players can't play with the Xbone players in PvP. But controller works great too.

And wow this runs amazing, all these settings and a great benchmarking tool. They really went all out on the pc version!

After Quantam Break and Gears Ultimate Edition's PC launches, if they fucked this one up after all the hyping of the PC version they have been doing, it be over for microsoft in terms of games on the PC platform.
Downloading the update is just fucked for me right now, it's stuck or when I pause and resume the download, it fluctuates upwards by 30 MBs.
So roughly 11 hours after I started downloading this game off the Windows Store, it got to about 75% and suddenly locked up and crashed. I went back and couldn't get it to resume the download.
After trying to figure out what was wrong for about an hour, it suddenly just works when I hit install, only now it's back at 0%
This fucking sucks.
Now that it's working, my god what an outstanding port. Runs like butter on Ultra.
Yeah I got it to work, not sure how but I did. Game's fantastic!
Though it only gives me the option to install it if I view it from my library, but I can start up the game from the store page.
Because of how the Windows store works, I'm gonna have to drag my computer somewhere with better internet to download games from it.
Why is the store such a piece of shit? Like first of all I leave my computer on over night to download Gears 4, Windows then decides to piss on me and restarts my computer for an update, and not it's just not even downloading at all.
This is infuriating.
I had that issue. The way I [i]think[/i] I resolved it was by disabling all network adapters apart from the one I was using on my computer.

Yeah the store is shite, but the game itself is fantastic.
It won't download at all and hasn't for the past hour, this is bullshit.
