The port still has a lot of stuttering and performance issues, in my experience. I've got a Nvidia GTX980 and I was struggling to get a decent 60fps in most parts of the game at medium to high-ish settings at 1080p resolution.

Yeah I thought I might have been alone in this but I'm glad to see I'm not, I was getting stuttering during the game even after turning a bunch of shit down, I'm pretty sure the game was using all the VRAM it could use though, hence the stuttering, at once point it actually effected the auto syncing during the cutscene with [sp]Baird[/sp] which was really jarring, having everyone move their mouths about a second after they've said something.
Is there any cheaper way to get GoW4 on PC than the windows 10 store?
I really think we should try and get some FP 5 stacks going, people are increasingly toxic online and it's sad because all my friends are on Xbox

Gears 4 is my first game since Gears 1 on PC - the original port in 2007. Had little clue of the importance of the story, but it was alright. Took me little over 6 hours to finish on hard.
Might be up for some Horde stuff, but I'll be right shit at it, even with my net working proper. Never touched it before now.

I bought Gears 4 on windows 10 and on a whim got my girlfriend to sign in on her xbox and download it using my account, she's now able to sign in on her account and play the game online with me, cross platform without even needing to buy it. I like this play anywhere thing, a lot.

The coin earnings amount needs a serious tweak. 30+ waves of horde where I'm the top earner? 80~ coins besides one level up of 500 coins. Long guardian and TDM matches where I'm a top scorer? 60~ coins a match.
Just got done with the campaign. So glad I avoided spoilers with this one, I usually spoil games on accident, and not knowing what happens this time made it better. Here is what I thought of the ending and the final act in general.
[sp]I didn't much care for the mech stuff. The mechs made the whole segment super easy, because I felt overpowered as hell.[/sp]
[sp]The final boss was really, really easy, and it wasn't close to being the hardest boss in the game like it should be, in my opinion. I thought the first Snatcher fight was far harder, mainly because of how useless teammates are at getting you out if you are snatched.[/sp]
[sp]It blew my mind when it turned out Baird was the creators of the Deebees. I never connected the letters DB to Baird, and after I found out, I can't believe I didn't realize it earlier. I also loved seeing the old characters again, especially Cole.[/sp]
[sp]The twist was awesome, but I thought something was up, when that Scion said they had plans for Reyna. That, and the fact that she wasn't podded like all the other humans were.[/sp]
[sp]Also thank fucking god Oscar is still alive. He is probably one of my favorite new characters, and I was really sad to see him get such a small amount of time before his "death" when I still thought he was really dead.[/sp]
All in all, the game is great. Runs great, is just every bit of fun that Gears 3 was, and I think it's a great entry to the series. The microtransaction system is a bit shit, but I'm hoping they'll tweak it a lot and increase the earn rate.
I just want Beast Mode 2.0, playable Deebees and Snatchers.
First time I encountered a pouncer, nothing like sawing that motherfucker in half as he lunges at you. So good.
It's funny when I play horde it feels like the enemies are either too easy and repetitive, or extremely intense. Almost like GoW 3 horde. And fighting against the [sp]swarm and the db[/sp] make me miss the locust even more, though they function the same for the most part.
Hard to replace the catalyst that drove the series for the first three games. My hopes are that in the next iterations the Swarm will become just as badass as the Locust were. Bonus if Therons come back.
Also would anyone be down to play Horde sometime? The furthest I've made it on hardcore pubs was 40, and that was with a couple of strangers I friended for a game. Not looking for rank 10 class mains, just
people willing to listen and cooperate with each other for some fun.

Yeah I'm down, any time any where. I'd say I'm decent at horde, furthest I made it was wave 30 on normal with 1 other pub. People seem to always quit.

I have managed to reach wave 50 a couple times but I've only beat it once. Then again beating wave 50 in a pub is a miracle :v:

Beat the game, [sp]I was ready to lose my shit in that scene where Marcus was half dead, and the ending wasn't really interesting because I didn't care for character that had around 3 mins of screentime and felt like it was trying to be Dom's wife scene from gow2 which fell flat in comparison. The mecha part was cool and so was the DB twist.[/sp]
The swarm is [sp]pretty cool in idea but it lacks the charm the Locust had. Machine gun scion sying "suppression" isn't as good as the classic GRIND or BOOM from the Locust.[/sp]
The unlock system is such BS and require a shitload of grinding to unlock something
PC port is phenomenal. Rocking 45fps 1440p on horde on a GTX 960 with outdated drivers. Only complaint is that alt-tabbing makes me lose connection to the match.
Horde has the best gameplay now but the worst [sp]enemy variety[/sp]
