Not yet I'm afraid.
Flash bang them then concentrate fire. They are pathetically easy to dispatch when disorientated. If they do get a turn, they will only shoot if they can. They can't even clone while flashed. Not a single one has ever given me trouble.
Huh. I hadn't thought of that, I'll give flashbangs a go. Thanks.
Ran into an unfair retaliation mission where I had to traverse a field devoid of anything but three pieces of low cover while two pods of enemies camped a building. Like what.
We need to talk about your drinking problem, Bradford
We need to talk about your drinking problem, Bradford
Yep, that's exactly what happened to me too.
I started a new Ironman Impossible campaign in Enemy Within because Steam lost mine and it was going really well. I fucked up a bit in the beginning but lucked out with dice rolls and it seemed like everything was going in my favor. Then I did a terror mission where I was introduced to chrysalids and cyber discs at the same time. Some things happened and some countries left and I met a lot of nice people from exotic places and now I'm doing a bomb mission with 3 squaddies send help.
i don't think this ironman commander run is going to go well I lose like 2-3 soldiers per mission, and have failed several. I just keep getting super unlucky with my shots, missing 3 or 4 60%+ shots in a row on a consistent basis. On the past two missions I've only escaped with one soldier.
I fucking hate this game [t]http://i.imgur.com/44H905E.jpg[/t]
I fucking hate this game [t]http://i.imgur.com/44H905E.jpg[/t]
If some of your guys get captured by alien forces via being left behind, they appear as a soldier reward for VIP rescue missions. I know this because I had to leave my ranger behind during my base defense mission and had the option to rescue him from an advent transport a week later.
I swear, I've never played a game with so many visual/graphical bugs. Everything from dead enemies going back to idle poses to 10-second slow-mo overwatch resolutions.
I keep noticing these bizzare moments when the AI does something really pointless/stupid, then they land a really fucking powerful shot on somebody. Like, 4 or 5 times already in this campain, Im maybe 6 missions in, an alien will just move 1 tile for no particular reason, then land some crazy shot. This happened in my first campaign quite a bit too and now I get extremely paranoid anytime the AI decides to move like 3 tiles. The most clear example is the first time this campaign where this Officer just ran into the middle of a street, then shot my a guy on a roof a few floors up for 4 damage, followed by a stun lancer just running 2 tiles into a flank and then shooting the guy on the roof and killing him. Like is this some weird set of coincidences or am I cursed or what cause this is some whackass shit
Sounds eerily like the AI predicting a seed on a good spot for fucking the player over
Wish you were able to set a minimum chance to hit for overwatch shots.
plasma grenade launchers + stasis + meme beacon = win the game
Fuck the ADVENT comin' straight from the Avenger.
I love it whenever Central looks directly at the screen and does the whole, "Good luck... Commander." Like it's some inside joke or catchphrase at XCOM.
He's practising his Shatner impression, hence the dramatic pauses.
Thanks to E3245, I finally got that Nod Soldier voice done! He'll repeat a ton of lines due to the fact that EA/Westwood didn't give him a lot of different styled lines. Plop it in your Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\mods folder https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39275059/Mod.zip EDIT: Wrong files crap EDIT: Fixed
Now I'm telling these son-of-a-bitches that we respect the Aliens of this country, who are honest businessmen. And yeah, this is the land of opportunity for legitimate business, not for death merchants who distribute ADVENT burgers to our children through schools and on the streets. Now I'm telling these motherfuckers that if they continue killing our children to make their precious ADVENT burgers, Speaker, before their last burger even gets off the grill, I'll have their stinking bodies in garbage bags and ship them back to Mars for fertilizer. Got it? Wouldn't mind making that guardsman voicepack.
Anyone else have their hacked Mech's immediately break free on the alien's turn after you hacked them? Cause it sure happened to me. Good thing it was halfway across the map and only ran forward and missed a shot on my ranger.
BTW I'm starting my ini'd the fuck out playthrough. Here's a little snippit of what I changed. Codexes have 30 mobility and Archon stats of dodge and defense, and they have 40 sight range. Their guns do 4 damage but their crit is 10+ (so 14). Vipers have 50 sight range too.
How do you create custom tilesets? Someone posted it a while ago but I can't find it.

[editline]15th February 2016[/editline] Technically it wouldn't be lying because the name doesn't say which side it becomes easy for.

[sp]It seems we are both out of time. Fairwell Commander.[/sp]
You know im sort of disappointed its taking them this long to fix any of the bugs. Almost every single time I lose a mission its to something so damn stupid, Muton throws grenade through an entire floor of a building to hit roof. stun lancers able to hit units through solid walls nowhere near a window of any kind. enemies able to shoot at units on the floor above them despite there being no access points between the two or straight through walls that fully cover a unit. Doors that get treated as open if a unit is next to it, but only to that unit. mechs that teleport through walls. make it stop

Fuck that :v:
Apply the buffs to all enemies, call it Long War 2.
I think you're onto something here. [editline]15th February 2016[/editline] Make transmitters in Avenger defense have 50+ dodge.
