I really hope we get more people like CapnBubs in the mod community. I think my favorite part about his stuff is that it [i]looks[/i] like it belongs in the game.
Is there a mod or ini tweak that removes armor restrictions? I want to wear a mask along with the long hood.

Then again, the Snek is bound to get a "topless" mod or some shit like that at some point. :nope:

I understand the sentiment fully, though, since that's really how I feel about a lot of things, but in the end let the people do what they want. Is it really [I]wasted[/I] skill for them to do stuff that you don't necessarily accept?
uhhh I just had my sharpshooter use bladestorm on a stun lancer? i thought that was only for rangers, he doesn't have that ability, he also didn't have the model for the arc blade. magical glitch. It stunned the stun lancer and saved my ass

I'd think turn based strategy games are a bit more niche and thus might not attract as many people just looking for a waifu / sex dungeon simulator.

How hard is the game to mod? I'm thinking about making a adrenaline shot item which temporarily revives unconscious soldiers, is it hard to pick up the modding and worth downloading over 60 Gb?
Final Mission had a pod of 6 MECs, Mimic Beaconed them into my Sniper's Kill Zone, 5/6 died. AP Rounds are the best.

Protip for those who don't know yet: If you're getting long load times when returning to the Avenger from a mission, hit caps-lock. The loading will complete almost immediately.

Beat the game on commander today, quite chuffed. Now I'm having difficulty beating the first mission on legend. Really disheartening when I see those youtubers who play a lot of xcom get perfect shots on legend in the early game but my guys miss more often than not. :saddowns:

Another reason the Combine are one of my favourite enemies, the colourful vocabulary and unusual sentence structure.[/QUOTE] Yeah, ADVENT troops speak an alien language of some sorts, some common language with their alien masters (But one that I doubt is the Ethereals original language) And yes, that is one of the reasons I love the Combine (That and just their general aesthetic is awesome) - The fact that they use human language twisted to inhuman logic, which ends up with some absolutely great imagery in their combat cant. Also - Mechanical Procreation Simulation as a reward for good service from Civil Protection officers (The volunteer force of the Combine). All the threats of offworld reassignment levelled at Overwatch transhuman soldiers during Nova Prospekt too, which is a very nice and casual way of reinforcing the trans-universal nature of the Combine... Just fantastic world building really.

Managed to beat the final mission with the sacrifice of all but 2 of my squad (RIP Jane Kelly), and my Sniper grappling onto a very exposed position to deal 10 damage. Psi-Ops are incredible and suuuuper fun to use in this one. They can make some missions into straight up easy mode.
