Am I the only person that really isn't won over by the idea of a Terror From The Deep sequel/lengthy extension to the main game? I'd rather they work on something else like bringing SHIV's/MEC's back and giving us new types of missions like what Dirf is suggesting Not that I think Firaxis wouldn't be able to make TFTP be entertaining have quite a lot of novelty, but I'd prefer it if they were few and far between to make them stand out and contrast a lot with your other missions, not end up as a new metagame
Did you... basically miss the Reinforcement Pack? Which seems to do exactly that?

What's the name of the soundcue for dashing in the XCOM editor?
I think a TFTD thing would be best as a mod. I like the idea of the tone of a creepy underwater environment, but I can't really see it being done in a super interesting way as a fully fleshed out game. A mod that's basically a reskin of the base game like TFTD was would be worth a playthrough I think.
I'd LOVE a remake of Apocalypse. I reckon Firaxis could do a pretty awesome remake of it. Aslong as they didn't change TOO much from the original formula.
Taking screenshots with
Bindings=(Name="Delete",Command="Toggledebugcamera | uitogglevisibility | pause"
key bind is lotta fun. Shame ya need to use controller to move the camera.
where do i drop this in the input ini?
What's the name of the soundcue for dashing in the XCOM editor?
Dashing...
Dashing...
Isn't that the XCOM 1 list though? Or does it not matter where I link up my cues?
Isn't that the XCOM 1 list though? Or does it not matter where I link up my cues?
XCOM 2 uses those soundbanks as well.
XCOM 2 uses those soundbanks as well.
Which ones? It seems like a lot overlap.
*teleports behind u* *slices you with katana* [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/MDMFD8E.jpg[/thumb] NOTHING PERSONNEL KID
Which ones? It seems like a lot overlap.
Fill all of them
Fill all of them
Even "jetpack activated"? I think that's a little overboard.
Even "jetpack activated"? I think that's a little overboard.
Might have a jetpack somewhere in the Avenger. Who knows?
Pretty sure the devs just got lazy. Come to think of it, there's a whole "hearts and minds" angle left completely unexplored. [sp]Instead of suddenly having every citizen 100% on board with rebellion after a quick video[/sp], there could've been a strategic part of the campaign that could hinder or help xcom based on how the civilians feel about advent. Maybe being forced to decide between raiding a train for supplies or destroying an elder statue for morale and public image could be a real choice. Fingers crossed for the expansion. Or mods.
I was hoping that the first half of the game would be building up the resistance, and the second half would be instigating a full-blown rebellion and helping out all around the world whenever and wherever you can. I would love the shit out of having a random chance for civilians to come in and help you in a pinch. Imagine getting into a fight and using up all your moves and there's still a few grunts left, and some civs roll up out of the shadows and toss a grenade and yell "vigilo confido". It could be like that dumb shit that Project Aces did in AC6 with that whole "go dance with the angels" thing but actually cool. That would be so fucking rad, I wish they would've played around with that. Instead the game just gets balls-to-the-wall "we have to end this shit NOW" at the second half.
Even "jetpack activated"? I think that's a little overboard.
Just Hunker Down, Overwatch, Moving, Dashing, Ammo Out, Suppressing, Ghost Mode Activated, Kill, Multi Kill, Missed, Wounded, Died, Flanked, Suppressed, Grappling Hook, Target Spotted, Target Spotted Hidden, Taking Fire, Panic, Alien Sighting, Alien Moving, Alien Retreat, and Rocket Scatter. I think there are more, but that's what you need to fill for now.
Lost my first Commander campaign, I don't know where I went wrong.
Is there an explanation why the caps lock trick works? It's one of the most bizarre bugs I've ever seen.
Finally I got to see the Gatekeeper's AOE zombie apocalypse Holy fuck :v:
Is there an explanation why the caps lock trick works? It's one of the most bizarre bugs I've ever seen.
It's not a bug, it's by design. From Jake himself: “Hitting the key, through a Rube-Goldberg-esque series of events, forces all outstanding load requests to be filled immediately in a single frame. This causes a massive hitch, and potentially could crash the game. If you don’t care about those adverse effects the synchronous load is faster.”
What does Target sighted mean? Is that objectives?
I think it's either objectives, or enemies.
What the hell is the battlescanner line called? I can't find anything related to it.
What the hell is the battlescanner line called? I can't find anything related to it.
Throw Spy Grenade, I believe
Throw Spy Grenade, I believe
Spy Grenade Thrown actually. What the fuck Firaxis?

I've been having an issue with getting my skeletal mesh to import properly. I've got the stock muton mesh and I just added on some small bits in a separate mesh. So I've got it rigged to the muton head bone but for the life of me I just cannot get it to import as a skeletal mesh. Anyone more experienced with Blender or modelling in general have any idea what I fucked up on? Edit: Okay it turns out I might just be an illiterate ass bucket. Will report back after a few more attempts.
Everyone would go for the supplies unless it was a matter of choosing to get supplies now, or choosing a boost in monthly revenue
Ideally it'd be a balance between choosing the instant but ultimately smaller rewards of supplies versus a long term payout of resources. You could also play with civilian behavior in the missions. Maybe if xcom has enough influence civs pick up weapons and become rookies mid-mission. I dunno I feel like there's a ton of potential and none if it has been tapped yet.
Spy Grenade Thrown actually. What the fuck Firaxis?
Better than Westwood/EA's on Renegade. The "Praise Kane!" voiceclip is called m00kill_007in_nemg_snd :what: AND THEY'RE ALL FORMATTED LIKE THAT
In what order should I get Skulljack, Plate Armor, Magnetic Weapons, and Psionics in Commander?
