Better than Westwood/EA's on Renegade. The "Praise Kane!" voiceclip is called m00kill_007in_nemg_snd
:what:
AND THEY'RE ALL FORMATTED LIKE THAT
And here I thought all the IG voicelines being numbers was bad.
In what order should I get Skulljack, Plate Armor, Magnetic Weapons, and Psionics in Commander?
I rushed magnetic weapons but got dicked on alloys and had to put off building any for ages. If you can get lucky with missions mag weapons rush pays off big time. Plate should probably come next, followed by whatever you want. I personally wouldn't fight a codex without mag weapons and plate but it's your call.

Psionics can be really powerful as well, but they're a bit of a gamble since you have to put them in training and its luck of the draw as to what they get. If you can get a Psi Trooper early on with Null Lance you can walk through just about anything.
Panic kills, people. I don't get where the "Panic = Good AI" idea stemmed from. Take this guy, who I assume is from the FP pool as an example.
[t]http://puu.sh/nddSJ/a3bebb5da7.jpg[/t]
Got mindspun the round just before he was to extract just behind the rest of the squad (All A-Team, so I pulled them out ASAP rather than risk them facing the music just to cover this one rook), ran into a shitty position, and got ground-pounded by ten or so Advent in the proceeding two turns that he could have survived and escaped from otherwise.
[editline]19th February 2016[/editline]
Oddly enough, the attack that killed him was for 4 damage... When he had 6 health left. By all means he should have been Captured, not instakilled.
Rushing research through the black market is nearly useless, right? It only ever shaves off like 3-5 days max.
Panic makes more sense in XCOM2. In 1, XCOM recruits would be coming from the world's militaries. Probably the best they have to offer too. In 2, XCOM is basically using who Dr they can get their hands on, right?

It's half of what your current research time, I was lead to believe?
Rushing research through the black market is nearly useless, right? It only ever shaves off like 3-5 days max.
Its says it shaves off half, but apparently by Impossible it only takes off a 1/4.
Also, enemies able to dodge concealment shots are full of shit.
Also, enemies able to dodge concealment shots are full of shit.
Knew I was in for a good time when one of my earlier ambushes missed every shot except one, which got dodged. Agent Smith isn't that fast.
Well fuck, I guess this run is over already. Flash banged a viper and two lancers, their turn they crit and kill three of my soldiers who were in full cover and on a cliff over the enemies. I think I'm quitting xcom and I'll just watch videos on what to do differently for commander.
where do i drop this in the input ini?
There should be 3 Bindings=(Name="Delete",Command="Toggledebugcamera and then something in XComInput.ini. You can find it in My Games and XCOM 2. Anyways, replace Toggledebugcamera to Toggledebugcamera | uitogglevisibility | pause.
There are some few places where the keybind doesn't work, like in Avenger. You'll just need to enable console and type the commands.
Oh and you need controller, otherwise you can't move the camera.
Last mission spoilers:
[sp] So i went in the last mission with two gunslingers, two grenadiers, a ranger and a specialist.
Why the fuck didn't i bring a shitload of psi ops why are grenades a finite resource oh god why.
I only managed to win the last part because i activated the avatars, retreated back into the other room and used that little passage as chokepoint.
At first nothing would come out of it, so i mind controlled a faceless with my avatar, went inside, only to be greeted with this[/sp]DON'T CLICK, SPOILERS
[sp] The faceless then got one shotted by one of the avatars, in my honest opinion he was the lucky one.
After that i retreated into the other room, shot at anything that came from the chokepoint and kept trying to make the avatars teleport to my side of the battlefield, one by one.
Once they would teleport i would just bumrush it with whatever was closest. Thankfully since I had spread every soldier pretty nicely (because of the ridiculous fucktarded AoE attacks) they kept teleporting close to other soldiers, and so, actually killing the avatars once they were on my side was more or less easy.
For some reason, anything that spawned after the first contact with the faceless also ignored my troops and went straight for that little center place in the room. I think that is the only reason i managed to win this shit. That and retarded amounts of save and reload whenever something went horribly wrong (every odd turn, really.)
So yeah, i didn't like that last mission, it was absurd.
I also find it funny how the only way i could have finished the last mission was by horribly glitching it and cheesing like a motherfucker.[/sp]
Now onto the mods!
Oh and you need controller, otherwise you can't move the camera.
lame!
maybe i can just change it to uitogglevisibility | pause without the debug camera and use the free camera movement mod instead
It contains the first 18 mercs, alphabetically. Get it while it's hot!
I really wish more mods had video previews, especially for voice packs.

Seriously, my current campaign has gone THAT MUCH smoother just outright ignoring Sharpshooters, and going full Gunslinger for what Sharpshooters I do bother with. Having six frontline troops who can act in the here and now instead of having to pre-plan all their actions has been the single greatest boon my squad has gotten. Especially so because of all these time-limited set-extract missions.
Gonna miss those moments I used to have where I'd have my last man - A sniper - be kiting enemies around the map in a mad-dash for the extract or waiting for my Request Extract cooldown to finish though. Had some interesting moments doing that.
Jesus christ Capnbubs. You are a god.

It just keeps coming. This guy can not stop making so much good content. XCOM 2 modding was not a mistake.
look how close it is to the real thing too

I think Sniper have become my least favorite units now as well. Kill Zone is great, and Serial is busted, but no more so than the other final skills. Gunslinger was a lot of fun, but the missions now just all require you to advance to fast to make Sniping worthwhile, in my opinion
My XCOM stand-in emulating me too much
I rarely have my panicked soldiers do anything good or bad, usually they just run further back and miss. I killed exactly one enemy with a panic shot and lost exactly one soldier due to panic.
Sniper's definitely not the killing machine it was back in 1. Kill zone's fun as hell with an extended magazine though.
So, how easy/difficult is it to add in extra Flags/Countries? I've got an idea for one I'd like; but I'm completely unfamiliar with doing anything of the like.

Pretty easy I'd imagine, considering how many there already are.
I really wish more mods had video previews, especially for voice packs.
I would, but I didn't have time to do one.
I'm having some trouble with my voicepack. I have all the cues assigned, but my upk file is stuck or something? I don't know, basically how do I put it in the content part of modbuddy and how do I rename it?
[editline]18th February 2016[/editline]
Basically I'm really confused and I don't know what to do and none of the tutorials I've found are helping.
[editline]18th February 2016[/editline]
Oh yeah I also reopened my soundbanks folder, and all of them are none now, this keeps getting better.
[editline]18th February 2016[/editline]
I have the .upk file still, so hopefully I haven't fucking ruined it. Yet that is

Well, for the first one, in Modbuddy, you go to the Solution Explorer, right click on Content or whatever folder you want > Add > Existing Item..., then find where you saved your UPK, and click OK.
[editline]19th February 2016[/editline]
I'm pretty sure in my tutorial, I added instructions on how to do this.

For whatever reason this wasn't working until you posted that. I think you're magic.
Wish I was recording, got a 15% crit on a hacked andromedon and blew up the nearby car with it, giving the effect of falcon punching a faceless so hard he flew into a car and exploded.

Eh what gives?

+BodyPartTemplateConfig=(PartType="Voice", Language="english", Gender=eGender_Male, TemplateName="<VoiceGuard>", ArchetypeName="<GuardVoice>.<GuardVoice>")
This is my XCOMContent.ini is there a typo or something? I should note both my upk and archetype are GuardVoice. Should I change that?
[editline]18th February 2016[/editline]
I got rid of the <> and it fixed the redscreen. But now I don't hear anything from my voicepack.

I get this error when opening the package from the editor too, Did I do something wrong with the voice banks? Was I supposed to save them somewhere?
Modded out the game (retroactive AWC, bigger pods, Advanced modular weapons) and started a L/I run.
Holy shit I didn't expect +1 dude to a pod to make Gatecrasher that much harder.
[t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/316746134552696798/37312AE90D20910AD7069E94E3FD6D8EB2A0403B/[/t]
After three restarts, I managed to pull through by occupying the three-story building. One dude died because two of my soldiers missed two >90% shots in a row. Bodies littered the street. Also learned the hard way that retreating Ayy's can indeed sometimes activate another pod if they run up to them in one turn. Dealing with 6 Advent soldiers and a wounded (and so, pissed off) Sectoid with three rooks sure is fun.
I just had the worst turn ever. Spot aliens on last move. It's 6 sectoid. All 6 proceeded to mind control my entire team in that one turn. 10/10, best turn of all time.
