At long last, here is the Freeman's Mind Voice Pack, which includes over 750 unique voice lines! I really tried to get this mod out sooner but I was running into some problems. I still am actually, sometimes to lines won't play occasionally. Anyone know how to fix this? Edit: Hold that thought, I had to take it down because it wasn't using the correct thumbnail in the browser. Edit2: Ok now I have a new problem. I'm trying to reupload the mod but it thinks I'm trying to update the first upload. I deleted the first one and now it won't give me the option to reupload.
Is that a filter or are the voice lines just not great quality? If it's a filter, I feel like it should be toned down. Also, have you sent this to Ross Scott?
Make a new mod file, copy all the stuff to it, and recompile
Thanks man!
Is that a filter or are the voice lines just not great quality? If it's a filter, I feel like it should be toned down. Also, have you sent this to Ross Scott?
It's a filter. When Ross recorded the dialog throughout the series, his mic quality was all over the place. Some of it sounds really good, but a lot of it sounds pretty crappy. I tried to disguise it all by applying a radio filter to the mod. I might send it to him if the mod is received pretty well. The mod is back up! I'm still having problems with the new dialog not playing sometimes though, anyone know why this is happening?

A radio filter is definitely better than inconsistent quality.
I can only say holy shit to this. On the game clock, I was 17 game minutes from failing completely due to the avatar project. I just barely managed to unlock an area to assault. Never again shall I cut it so close.
I... think I may have softlocked my armor progressions. I took a while getting the predator armor, that you need 6 ADVENT trooper corpses to make. But I never encounter them anymore, just the advanced versions of that unit. Unless I've gotten super unlucky on 10+ missions? RIP Predator armor, you'll never be on my soldiers.
All versions of ADVENT Troopers and Officers leave base-model corpses. Have you only been playing missions that require extract and/or fleeing?

I fixed the issue where Freeman's dialog wouldn't play occasionally, which is a huge relief for me! I also reduced the amount of radio filtering. The mod has been updated.

So there's this guide on how to edit XCOM 2 files, but does anyone know if such a thing exists for XCOM: EW? I tried my hand at it in EW, I made Interceptors $5 as a test edit (something easy to check), but the price still displays as $20 and that amount is deducted when purchasing an Interceptor.
I've played at least 5 missions where we didn't evac.
When you kill an enemy, it will tell you what corpse that enemy drops near the bottom right of the screen.
Beat XCOM 2 on rookie vanilla, so now that i've got some grasp of how things work on this one it's time to crank up the difficulty a few notches and add a few mods. Mostly cosmetic stuff and level variety things, along with a few QoL things like evac all and that one that get rids of all the little delays. This time i'll remember to get psi-ops earlier, as I only had the one bloke near the end of the game who proved to be so damn useful that I regret leaving it so late. Here's the A-Team I had at the end of the game. Usually swapped out Newton for Warlock as I found I didn't need to heal much at such a low difficulty level. Not an ideal setup, already got ideas for how to improve in a new game e.g. went all down one perk path or another, gonna pick n' mix next. [editline]20th February 2016[/editline] On another note, are there certain mods that one can use when submitting a character to the FP pool? Default game doesn't have Finland, for example. And how does one go about submitting a character i.e. what file do I need to fetch? EDIT: Every bloody time I edit this post, the imgur album disappears :/
Did I do good? [t]http://i.imgur.com/FaV0zKr.jpg[/t]
Ironman impossible playthrough, here I go, it's time to get mad at video games.
[sp]The Final Mission is going to be hell on earth[/sp]
Five missions in and I was out of supplies and all my soldiers were dead.
I started XCOM 2 on Commander right away, and did not fail. I'm quite proud of myself, in all actuality, even if it involved lots of savescumming at the beginning.
Five missions in and I was out of supplies and all my soldiers were dead.
Yeah I too realized not too long ago that Commander and Legendary+Extra Enemies are two different difficulty settings.

After learning how Avenger Defense missions work in the hard way. I managed to push through my first Defense almost flawlessly on the second try. Needless to say, shit was intense. I knew it was a good idea to invest on the [sp]Defense Matrix[/sp] few months before. [t]http://i.imgur.com/AWRDy8B.jpg[/t]
and now that i've gotten a basic version of the BDUs working the mod testing exe won't launch :v:
;49778079'] progress
I think the gloves look a bit off, but the rest is fine.
well on the first two i hadnt applied the textures yet [editline]20th February 2016[/editline] also blah the modbuddy is so unstable now it wont launch a debug version of the game for some reason
The first alien facility that shows up is in West US, and I'm in Africa. I then immediately get an Alien Facility Lead from hacking the objective on my next mission. :dogcited:
Tinkered with my computer a bit, turned off some of Windows features and decided to give the game a try again. Didn't fix shit, of course, maybe 8Gb of RAM is not enough, but I doubt it really. But it's a little bit more bearable now. What isn't bearable though... [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/316746134558256457/FAF08373F3D9D2F6C87AD3AB471DC833A001778B/[/t] Well fuck you too game, that's cheating and you know it. I swear to god there was less of this "patrols actually know your position and active pods know when you're on overwatch" shit on Commander. Now on Legendary it's constant - that's like fifth campaign I'm starting, and every single mission (including Guerilla Ops, first Spokesman mission and Blacksite) I either see all patrols on the map actively trying to evade me, and as a result they all just bunch up somewhere (see screenshot) or they converge on my position and sit all around my guys. What the fuck.
Testing out Ninjanub's outfit.

Pretty sure too cause an Andromedon and his buddies once followed my exact path over a roof.
i dont think dashing in itself makes noise but i could be wrong
