XCOM V4: "Svinnik - Why is Shen's daughter asian, when Shen is black?"

Speaking of Sprinter, I was actually about to write an active perk called Sprint for the ranger, but then decided against it because it was basically a single turn Superior Mobility PCS in a can with an aim penalty slapped on top.
Also can we add more than 1 idea? I got a few of those floating around right now.

Well yeah, I've set it so you can submit more than one response. Just submit an idea and in the end you have the option to submit again.
I know it isn't, but if you actually buy enough armour and weapons for every soldier you own, you'll never have money for anything else. I strongly prefer XCOM 2's system in that regard, wish there was a mod for it, it's only an inconvenience having to switch armours around and save-scum to be properly prepared for Base Assault.
Also the cinematic for the Base Assault is awesome, it feels like a huge shame that Firaxis didn't have XCOM lose on that instead, since the chaos in the XCOM 2 flashback fits perfectly with the chaos in EW's Base Assault intro.
It's not just an inconvenience, you're not supposed to give your entire barracks advanced equipment. Just make sure your usual roster is properly equipped and that the rest of your arsenal isn't just sitting in storage. The base defense is supposed to catch you with your pants down and will always be a little hard.
And XCOM did lose on the base defense by the way, there's a line by bradford that pretty much confirms that. He more or less describes what happened in the cutscene, only the aliens attacked sooner in the XCOM 2 timeline.
Yeah.
Base defense was a memorable mission for me exactly because it caught me off guard and i had to struggle by hiding my only veteran soldier, two shitty rookies and one security guard on that small room where the cyberdisks enter the base and pick the aliens in a trap one by one
I took 2 hours when i first played and i loved every single minute. In fact this is my biggest problem with X2, no more fun and surprise missions like that and Newfoundland

I wished the rookies in that mission would join your roster, simply because some of mine did damn fine jobs. Definitely a memorable mission, especially since it randomizes who you have on the mission.

I'm guessing that's what Shen's Last Gift and Alien Hunters are going to be, or, at least hoping so
Oh christ just had that 'enemy destroys objective by walking through it' glitch. Brilliant. Didn't realize till 3 turns in so no re-loading for me!
[editline]1st March 2016[/editline]
Oh you can still access it with the gremlin thank god.
Are the enemies in the avenger defense mission infinite? I'm an hour and a half in and I'm wondering if they'll ever be an end to this.

Yup, gotta destroy the relay then evac. Or hang around with a wall of overwatch for delicious XP.
Lost a soldier, decided I should probably call it there.
So apparently someone has found the issue with mods' ShaderCache files bloating to enormous sizes. Our modders might want to take a look, there's a workaround there.
I finally made a video for my voicepack, if anyone is still on the fence on subbing to it.

The quality is bad right now, but I'm hoping that the next video is better.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I included other mods as well. Check the description!

XCOM2 does that to me on occasion. It and Civ5 are the only games that it happens in so maybe it's just a firaxis issue.
What the fuck. A Sectoid just shot at a civilian and its plasma beam took out the floor she was on so three more civilians fell to their deaths.
One Sectoid just killed four civilians on one turn.

Pictured: the results of a long night of partying mixed with fire, plasma, and a Sectoid.

Could be some driver issue, but just in case you could backup your stuff.
So, are there any mods that disable dodge?
I was looking through some of the XCOM 2 modding documentation and found this.

:scream:
I want an Adam Jensen pack, in-built shades, goatee, trenchcoat, voicepack.
I've failed the past few ironman runs I've been playing because I always hit a dead end where I was going to lose no matter what (no troops, too far behind in tech, no more supply and income, etc), and the run I decide to turn Ironman off goes so well that I don't even need to savescum and it's already the midgame. What gives, XCOM?
Snek hugged my favourite soldier on current playthrough, ranger Jesus. He's a Sergeant, so 6 health (I think?). 2 damage. Gravely wounded, 52 days off the field, Shaken. What the actual fuck XCOM, that's second time you take away my best soldiers for almost two months and now simply because of bullshit RNG that wasn't even needed there. Just stop it, you're acting like a dick. Seriously. I didn't even know wounded time can be that long before this latest playthrough.
On another note, can someone bug Ninja with the link I posted earlier this page? His BDU's are affected (almost said "infected"), and for some reason I can't send PMs to anyone.

It's hilarious how retarded the wound system is.
My top soldier at the time, a Cpt. Ranger got plinked for 2 damage from a Dodge:Grazed by a sectoid pistol.
Gravely wounded, 20-something days.
Must have grazed a pretty fucking vital organ there :v:
Meanwhile my Sgt. Specialist that I took on that same mission to get him into my B-Team got facefucked with a crit, entered bleed-out, got stabilized and healed back to full, got marked and shot again through full cover because god hates his poor soul and had fuckall HP left when we finished the mission.
Lightly wounded, 5 days. Not even shaken.
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhowareyoustillfuckingbreathing
Yeah people really should look into that mod which fixes up the wound times by a lot. I forgot the link to it but I feel it fixes the system. I mean hell, on my current campaign I had my ranger take 1 damage, literally just 1 damage, and on the other side my specialist was left on 1 HP.
Ranger: Out for 22 Days.
Specialist: Out for 8 Days.
The logic is stunning.
I built the advanced warfare center because I was tired of that shit.
That's because the game rolls a chance on wounds when you end the mission. That's beyond retarded, and if I had to pick one thing out of XCOM 2 that fits the definition of "artificial difficulty", it's this. Sure it's "fair" in a sense that sometimes you get badly wounded soldiers out for 2-3 days, but the entire system's bullshit in the first place.
If you don't build an AWC asap you're just asking to lose.
