XCOM V4: "Svinnik - Why is Shen's daughter asian, when Shen is black?"
So what's everyone's least favourite enemy to go up against? Mine would be the Andromedon, that Acid Grenade is just really annoying and it's an overall hassle to take out, not to mention it ruins future cover options with it's running about. I honestly find Sectopods easier to kill than Andromedons
Mine would be Archons since they often spawn in groups unlike Andromedons, and their bullshit flying means there's usually a 70% hit chance if you've got good aim on your soldier no matter what. And the fact that their melee is fuckhuge strong smack that is amplified if you try to soften them up first.
Archons, definitely, with their evasion. Only saving grace is how they tend to run up close to you to swing their fairy staff around.
welp none of the voice lines are actually played and the game throws a fancy error of "The entry for this archtype needs to be fixed in DefaultContent.ini"
[editline]9th March 2016[/editline]
Tried evrything there is on the internet about it(not a lot) and still doesn't work.
My game keeps on removing all soldier/codec voices for some reason,
it's really annoying.
I got so mad with the dodge mechanic that I actually opened the ini file and replaced every enemies chance of dodge to 0.
I don't need a dice roll on top of a dice roll thank you.
I did something and now the mod properly, ok. I don't know how but it fixed itself and now the mod is working. One problem is that it will lack XCOM2 unique lines, such as loot collect, extraction, armor lines, dodge lines, etc. I will add them later, but for now I'll upload what there is.

If anyone wants to augment this preview to be more pleasant looking then go ahead.

That Warden Armor has yellow instead of blue lighting.
100 now? Hm
Finally higher tier armors can look all shitty and resistance-y too! This is what I wanted!
[editline]9th March 2016[/editline]
And by shitty and resistance-y of course I meant SHINY AND CHROME
So if Anarchy's Children is the Mad Max pack I assume Alien Hunters will come with a bunch of tacticool pieces, along with the extra aliens.
could be okay, I like some of the pieces shown so far but some are just ridiculous.
who cares about that when mods are doing all of that for free already?

Given the community has generally gone all in on making Operator-tier aesthetic stuff, this is actually pretty well delivered on Firaxis' part, they've managed to make their first DLC not be a retread of what the community has done.
I imagine Alien Hunter's customisation will be the sci-fi tacticool gear but given the base Warden armour appearance, I think they'll probably avoid treading on the modding community's toes there too, which basically means more distinct gear for everyone.
I'm failing to see a downside.

Cause it's a ton of new content which is not extracted from other games?
;49896034']actually wait lemme make it private for a second so i can set it up for all the other armors since i had a lapse in judgement and forgot that :v:
[editline]9th March 2016[/editline]
okay fixed
my bad

here's a nexus link

Also, meant to say that this is fucking awesome. Pity it couldn't be split into parts or made to accept colouring and camo (but it'd be hard to do). Didn't realise until this how well FROGS fit with the late game aesthetic of XCOM 2.
Now we just need Revengeance Era Cyborgs and the Winds of Destruction :D

oh yea, im not disappointing or anything. I don't get why people on some other places are upset/confused by a dlc called anarchy's children being anarchy themed...oh well. it looks promising, and its nice that they aren't going the operator route since the community is all about that (though I'd still want more)
Cause it's a ton of new content which is not extracted from other games?
extracted from other games isn't necessarily a bad thing, and there is original content too
I'm just saying I personally won't buy it because I don't feel the need for more customisation options beyond what mods are already doing, but it's cool if you will!

I mean I don't really need that much overly customization, but I would weclcome it. Plus I still wanna support Firaxis so I mean hey, why not.
Would be nice to have a patch first.

"Additionally, we’re preparing a patch that will include performance optimizations and gameplay bug fixes. We will have more info to share on this very soon."
I'm not a huge fan of the rebellious/Mad Max style, not just this particular context but just in general, but it's nice having more customization in the game before including mods.
I'm frankly though more interested in the patch. I've held off replaying until the first actual patch.
I'm glad we're getting something for tier 2 and tier 3 armour. It was a bit disappointing to have like a thousand props for kevlar/resistance armour but then you upgrade to Predator and everyone looks the same.
Though most of what's been shown still looks like it's for tier 1.

:v:
I'm honestly disappointed that the tier 3 armor is still just more fucking recolor shit. I would like at least some slight amount of physical variance between the tier 3 stuff instead of just some painted spoopy skeleton bits or look like you got pegged by the Grav Gun with a paint can.

Pretty sure that is just new camos/patterns being shown off - the only variation there seems to be one that replaces the coloured lights with amber/yellow rather than blue. But I'm pretty sure the screenshots we've seen are not comprehensive.
However, I doubt the DLC entitled "Anarchy's Children" is going to have much to do with T3/T2 Customisation. I suspect, if anything, that Alien Hunters will cover that since it is themed around "XCOM as an elite alien hunting unit"

aeiou. Moonbase Alpha Voicepack is live! As it says in description, it is lacking XCOM2-unique lines, which I will record later.
Here is a preview video of the mod:

No in-game footage because as I said earlier my laptop runs it terribly.
EDIT: added subtitles in case you want to know what the heck he is saying
