Just Finished the agonizing pre-load. Fuck me this game's huge, especially compared to EU.
I would like to make a quick salute for the countless number of rookies who are going to die in the coming hours.
Has anyone had any luck with VPN's? 12 more hours here, and I don't want to wait until after work to get a taste of Xcom 2. Come on; I promise I'll rate you winner.
Well, it's not even the same voice actor, is it? :v:
David Hoffman in Enemy Unknown, Brian Bloom in Xcom 2. Damn well that explains a few things.

That's the earliest it would release. I also had luck with WTFast unlocking Fallout 4. Here's a guide from that thread.
Download WTFast, create a free account and install When you are on WTFast Menu click Custom Game where you would select one in the bottom right Select the Game dropdown only and choose STEAM. Press save (http://prntscr.com/90sz7n) Set your server to any of the AUS ones and press launch (http://prntscr.com/90t0yj) (It will fail to open steam but this is normal and stop here) Now click on Steam manually from your PC/Mac while WTFast is still on the menu (after failing to open steam) Once on Steam just press play and its yours my friends! [t]http://i.imgur.com/2YztVcc.jpg[/t] And the game dropdown gives me nothing.

Get ready lads, 20 minutes and the game unlocks in Australia. Rev up those VPNs!
It would be nice if I could get vpn's to work. I already tried wtfast and pia.
It would be nice if I could get vpn's to work. I already tried wtfast and pia.
I use VyprVPN.
The store doesn't change at all when connected to the vpn.
Waiting on mine, hopefully won't be too far behind!
Just got mine! Cheers for recommending that site btw. [editline]a[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/4m7eSRM.png[/t] ayy, 'ere we go
Yeah, WTfast says steam is connected to the Australia servers, but the unlock time hasn't budged.
Don't buy shit over a VPN by the way, that's what can get you banned for evading pricing/distribution restrictions, unlocking games is fine though, Valve doesn't give a shit because you already bought it.
Yeah, WTfast says steam is connected to the Australia servers, but the unlock time hasn't budged.
WTFast, PIA and vypr all have the same unlock time for me. Browsing the steam store via chrome shows the unlock time for Aus but not the client
I would like to make a quick salute for the countless number of rookies who are going to die in the coming hours.
I dunno, compared to original X-Com death toll is really low. I had like, from 7-10 casualties on my first try. Just finished Long War and only lost 3 people. Didn't even had to save scum. In original my losses were at least in the hundred if not more.
I'm using the same vpn I used for Fallout 4 but the unlock time is still 6 hours for some reason.

Maybe they finally caught on
It will release in Australia in 10 minutes, right?
is it safe to use a VPN? I have a VPN that I pay for (F-Secure Freedome) where I can change the locale to Australia. Is that the only thing I have to do in order to play it?

In fact, I think the only thing that Valve really has a problem with as far as VPNs go is if you use Russian servers to get games cheaper.
when i do WTfast vpn should i set steam to offline mode after?

It's only if you buy items that steam cares.

Well, let us know if VPNing works.
Well, let us know if VPNing works.
It worked for Fallout 4 for me, so I expect it'll work just fine for XCOM 2.
We'll see in a couple of minutes
