I'm gonna try what someone on reddit said to do. Connect to vpn with steam closed and open steam once its released, not before. Hopefully it will download the necessary files then.
If its not gonna work anyway that is, dunno if the 6 hours thing is a just a visual thing.
You have to completely close out of steam, and then connect to the VPN, then open Steam.

Take steam into offline mode with a .txt file I think or keep the vpn up. your decision.

Keep it up until you launch it, then you can disconnect. But if the game crashes or you close it you'll have to close Steam, reconnect to the VPN, then re-open it.

You don't need to be connected to VPN during:
-Downloading
-Decryption
Only times you need VPN turned on (steam to think you are connecting from somewhere else), is when you INITIATE a download or decryption, as that's when steam checks your location.
Also when you are launching a game for the first time in that session or each time you launch a game that is region locked (not talking about activation lock, but a play lock)

I got it as soon as I bought it like 2 days ago
My game is stuck unpacking with 1 second left to go but it never finishes.
Also using the Melbourne vpn, the game is attempting to unpack, but the store page still says the game releases in 10 hours. Could this be the reason?
