Fuck me this is making me mad
I uhhhh, I think something went wrong because game keeps giving me new [del]clones of myself[/del]recruits all named "Maniacykt" for some reason. I thought it would use my character once, or am I missing something?
Hey, anyone who can currently play, can you use Character Pool characters in multiplayer?
Hm, don't much care for the game setting a different class & attitude than what I picked when making custom characters.
The damn [sp]advent retaliation or whatever; the first mission where you go to save civilians like the old terror missions. Game spawns 5 of the civilians on the other side of the map next to an alien pod...[/sp]
So are the performance issues as serious as they say?
Well, looks like the game won't run at all on dx10.1 after all. Barring some mod to disable any dx11 features coming on in the next couple days, if that's even possible, it looks like I'll have to refund. It was a long shot anyway.
well judging from the turn limited missions from EW i'm betting xcom 2 is going to make me smash my computer open
My game won't unpack on Steam. I don't know what to do. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? EDIT: Fuck it, I'm just going to redownload it. I hate Steam's preloads and they almost always botch up for me.
My game won't unpack on Steam. I don't know what to do. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Mine says it's been updating at 100% for about half an hour now. The disk usage is pretty high though, so I guess that means it's unpacking or something.
Wow, the character limit for the names is killing me here. Is there a way to circumvent it?

After 6 hours of play my game more or less died with the round simply not ending, gg
not seeing the deco options from the preorder pack in the character pool, annoying
not seeing the deco options from the preorder pack in the character pool, annoying
The headgear and stuff is there, but the outfits are their own armour class so you can't assign them in the character pool the only real problem I have with the game right now is that when moving between things in the geoscape, and while entering and exiting cutscenes, the game slows down to a crawl and sometimes outright freezes for like a minute, and it gets progressively worse the longer the game remains open I can't play more than two missions at a time because it becomes unbearable trying to navigate the avenger to do anything
[t]http://i.imgur.com/9IavTRJ.jpg[/t] If this is anything like XCOM as I know it, Kelly is gonna die in the final mission in the most tragic way possible
AAAAAAAAH LOADING IT UP NOW!
Submitted my character for the Pool. ADVENT Shocktroopers are the worst thing, enough HP to take 2 rounds of bullets, and those super accurate Melee attacks, I hate 'em
I bought the deluxe edition but got a refund before the two hours limit hit. I knew practically nothing of the game and liked Enemy Unknown but it failed to get me interested. The first two missions were a fucking mess both from a gameplay and technical aspect so I'll wait it out, see if the inevitable expansions fix things a little, and get it on sale. Don't know what I was thinking spending 65 bucks on this game, to be honest.
I launched it, my computer fans revved up and my screen went black, eek.
FUCKING CODEX THINGS CAN SUCK MY NUTS. The character I made to look like me kept dying and I had to keep reloading just to keep him alive.

Getting a lot of stuttering. Do we know if there will be a game ready driver coming for this that might take care of some of these performance issues?
I launched it, my computer fans revved up and my screen went black, eek.
I got to the character pool this time before losing video. Kind of a shitty launch for me, I'll uninstall and reinstall.over night and deal with this in the morning.
When dat first version of the character pool being finished?
I can't even get the game fully download and installed. The game stopped at like 98% downloaded on my last attempt. I'm really frustrated. EDIT: I'm fucking out of ideas, I deleted my steam folder and am now trying to reinstall steam and do a completely fresh install of Xcom 2.
So, Launcher kept crashing on me, so I verified the cache. I think I ended up checking off the OST DLC, so now I'm waiting for 11Gb download to finish up in 2 hours. Meanwhile, the fucking SDK is 66Gb in size.
Already ran into a substantial bug. One of my soldiers had full health, took 3 damage and died.
Can anybody help me out? When I try to start my game the launcher comes up, but when I hit play the .exe will start, steam will show that I'm in game, and then the XCOM application will quietly die without any form of error message. I did manage to get this from the event viewer, though.
