Whenever a cutscene plays my audio crackles and gets more and more off sync. Anyone know what could be causing this?
The same person got stunned in 3 different missions and had to sit out 90% of them.
Ok, I change my mind, XCOM2's enemies are complete bullshit. First, ADVENT captains, apparently, can mark as either a half action or free action as it was immediately able to throw a grenade at two of my soldiers that were barely in range of each other. This isn't so bad, just a minor setback and learning lesson: Shoot those assholes. Secondly, my first terror mission: So I'm mopping the floor at the moment with smart positioning and tactics. I had two of my sharpshooters on the roof, and my Grenadier and Techie were covering ground game. Just as I was chasing a wounded Sectoid and their turn started, lo and behold [sp]a giant cum monster oozes out of some lady and immediately walks over, leaps onto the roof in a single bound, swipes at my sniper, dealing 4/5ths of her health AND collapsing the floor under her, killing her on landing.[/sp] What the fuck went wrong [sp]besides THAT'S XCOM BABY[/sp]

So Facepunch DreamTeam pack when? Who submitted and who didn't yet?
you guys are making me feel almost bad for having, like, a pretty good time so far? i've had some performance hiccups, like the sudden chop in the skyranger and p bad fps during a retaliation mission but other than it's been the same old XCOM. dunno why so many of you decided to start on commander difficulty.
This is very likely to be late but something dumb I randomly noticed in the pre-load. [T]http://i.imgur.com/1I5gGgZ.png[/T] They knew... They knew this whole damn time!
I don't get it
[sp]If you watch the cutscene you get warned about that fucking monster.[/sp]
Yeah but you don't expect it to hit the very first citizen you bump into. This game just has a lot of little bugs, like at the start of one month I just didn't get my monthly supplies at all and now I'm getting my ass kicked because I can't build my tier 2 weapons. Its clear now why it was delayed I also made sure it wasn't a dark event
Whoever decided that you have to do a mission [sp]with only 3 people in it which is just full of powerful enemies[/sp] deserves a trophy for dickery. Also good to know that teleporting enemies are back again.
Good 'ol xcom. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/314492958154370382/E9B691C1BE63564BDDF499811B5AA0A26DEB4983/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/314492958154370573/CA2D900D933EF0F2A9828674DF9551B662546308/[/t]
Advent gave me a sinus infection 2 days ago which completely fucked my desire to do or play anything, words cannot describe just how fucked off I am about this
Seems like if you have one rough Operation your whole campaign goes to shit. Enemies just get stronger and you lose all your people who were above squaddie rank at some point or another. Dont see how im supposed to kill two muton berzerkers, a faceless (which can move twice then attack on the turn it reveals itself) and 5+ of high level advent dudes with only 3 squaddies and two other dudes in under 7 turns.

So should I have magnetic weapons before the first blacksite? There's also a UFO hunting me down dark event happening and I get the feeling that's going to fuck my shit up when I least expect it
Say, any fp character pools running yet?

Regularly swap people out so everyone gets experience (in my case usually everyone gets wounded anyways). But yeah the devs need to do some major balancing. They kept saying enemies were OP but it was balanced out by your guys being OP. Well your guys don't OP as fast as the fucking aliens do. But one of the big balance breakers is units that move twice and then melee attack (lancer, faceless). It means you get maybe one turn before they close in on you. Faceless less since it attacks when it shows up. Another large balance isssue is how many mission types have timers; you can't go at your own pace. EU/EW had far less. Also you HAVE TO save 6 civilians in terror missions now. I wonder if this was intentional. Darksouls is tryhard but at least its more skill based. I wonder if they were trying to go for that audience. Though tbh beagle makes the game look easy so maybe we all just suck.
guys im having issues with textures on my xcom is there settings i can change to fix? or is my comp just too shit? [T]http://i.imgur.com/IukraNd.png[/T]
So does anyone know who the veteran soldier is? Or where they are?
They should just be in your initial recruits. They're a generic random recruit (or a pool character) with the XCOM 1 Guile hair, the pre-order armor and a bio referencing a particularly nasty mission from EW.
ok, ran into a bug that would not allow any time to really pass. The counter for one even was at -3 when i finally noticed. so i left the map and literally 12 fucking events happened at once. also, i thought i would like the new threat system for the campaign, but holy shit you do not even get a damn day before the avatar project gets bumped up, a settlement is razed, your ship is under attack, and 2 fucking "avoiding this is a bad idea" missions pop up. this all happened in half a month. literally no breathing room to get some footing with my base, or have my soldiers rest up for more than an hour.

Some civ walks up to my guy and stands there ominously for 2 turns. I thought he just bugged out so hey, whatever, atleast one less civilian that dies. He then does this and I'm like, CLOSE RANGE? but he misses and gets instantly destroyed. The trailers built me up to the faceless being this super scary guy but damn he was so lame. Probably just really lucky though. I'm having fun with the game but I kinda dislike how many actions aliens can take in one turn. Move>MC, Move>Panic, Grab>Spit, Mark>Shoot, etc. and we get to reload & shoot. Wow!! Like no disrepect but this is just kind of strange. Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to things.

So here's a brief summary of my XCOM 2 experience. I'm digging XCOM 2 and all, but it feels like it needed another month of playtesting between the bugs, performance and balance issues. On one mission a viper was MVP since it perfectly repositioned my heavy right where I needed him to be, and sectoids are dumb as rocks since they go for power spam over smart positioning. The character bios are neat but damn they should have had someone sit down for like an hour and just pump them out, also people in the bios are waaaay to young. Also it seems that Bradford hasn't been the only one hitting the sauce, whoever's in charge of mission names has some questionable choices such as Operation Crypt Slap.
They glob things are a lot more scary when you ping 4 of themy at once with the radar pulse.
I thought that if I used that I would be able to see which civvies were aliens, but I had no idea it would just activate them.
OK real talk why isn't there a remove weapons button like there is for utility and armor.
As someone who beat EU on impossible, the game seriously needs a lot of tweaking. Kind of stupid that you can be adjacent to an enemy and miss, like I understand RNG but there's a point where you need to go "Okay there's literally no way this guy could miss"
Ok real question why the hell isn't there a remove weapons button like there is for utility items and armor?!
I've been wondering this myself. Maybe some sort of issue with the character pool characters? Since you can color and pattern their weapons in advance, maybe they all count as being unique ones, and it would make a mess of that?

At least thats how it works on Vet difficulty
God, this game is making it hard to love. Between the fucked enemies (which get even more ultra-fucked late game), bugged as shit gameplay, and horrendous optimization, I'm struggling to keep myself going. I've beaten every X-Com up to now, but I'm fighting myself as to whether I even want to keep going to the end.
