I gotta say, this is exactly what I expected a FABIO~ to look like. Nice work XCom. Today we begin to follow the story of Fabio, an ex-ADVENT underwear model turned resistance fighter.
(excuse the quality, playing on my awful laptop today)
Mate I bet your 'shitty laptop' runs it better than mine
More ending spoilers:
[sp]TFTD get hype[/sp]
I wish you didn't go from rag wearing terrorists to space marines so fast.
You look like Iron Man.
It's called the WAR Suit.
Come on.
I wouldn't mind if the third armour tier didn't look so strange next to the mostly believable tiers below it.
Especially the WAR suit, thing looks ridiculous.
Just realised I took pics of my sectopod rampage

Kinda lame that when you lose control of a hacked unit it gets actions in the same turn though, there doesn't seem to be a set amount of time things stay hacked for. Extra lame that they can't take actions on the turn you hack them either.
I did the Blacksite and immediately destroyed an Avatar facility too, and they only reduced the progress bar by one pip each
Maybe I shouldn't have let it fill up...

I think it's probably a way to tie-in with
[sp]a possible Terror from the Deep DLC judging by the end
TftD had goofy and silly stuff and armor/weapon design and i loved it[/sp]
Even more ending spoilers
[sp] I loved how they put you, The Commander, in an important plot role instead of just having you be this invisible omnipotent commander.
It was akward though when they had an avatar cause I put myself in my squad everytime I play Xcom[/sp]
Only now do I realize you can only build one workshop. I have to reorganize my base now. :suicide:

I don't mind the alien gear, but I have no doubt there will be mods that make the top tier gear look more rag-tag eventually. If not jut replacing the models with the older tier gear.
Holy shit, I made it to the next blacksite with two days to spare. Clutchmaster over here.
Does the game end immediately after the avatar bar fills up?
Does the game end immediately after the avatar bar fills up?
No, it gives you a 20 day countdown to get your shit together.
Does the game end immediately after the avatar bar fills up?
No you get 20 days to fix the problem.

Was playing today and I ran a ranger into a room to melee a dude and he missed. It also turned out there were two other dudes in the room with him that I couldn't see. Suddenly my ranger is in a room next to 3 dudes. They all go on overwatch. My ranger has the perk that makes him not trigger overwatch so he just walks the fuck out.
Welp, one of my Rangers got Serial. I'm breaking the game now. It doesn't seem to always give back all my actions, which keeps me from exploiting the hell out of this, but with good enablers and positioning, it's OP. Ever kill 6 units in one turn? I love this warfare center thing.
jesus christ I just got magnetic weapons game holy shit

I got guardian on my ranger on my first run.
Would kill 3 enemies in one overwatch, it was hilarious.

I haven't actually received a single random perk from the AWC since I built it, and there have been many promotions in that time. I am disappointed
Oh my good god psi-ops are sooooo goooood.
Ain't nothing like one soldier mind controlling two andromedons at once.

Killed them all with no injuries. Flashbangs are amazing
Just threw an acid bomb into a big group of civilians to make sure none were faceless and to destroy cover.
We're not terrorists though.

I see a lot of folks saying that the Black site raids and facility destructions only remove 1 pip on the Avatar Project and the countdown is only 20 days. If I may ask, what stage in the game were you when you did these and on what difficulty? At about July I hit full Avatar Project cause the aliens were spanking my ass so hard, 3 missions in a row resulting in failures. The first blacksite I destroyed removed 2 pips and the first facility I destroyed got rid of 4, so I'm just curious if it's scaled by difficulty or time.
Well I did it. I beat XCom 2 on Legendary. I'm NEVER doing that again. Ever. It's nice to have the achievement for it. But it was not worth that final level.
That was tense and chaotic and involved a lot of pain.
Well time to clear my saves all out and start another game, probably at a lower difficulty with some mods.
Has anyone doe the final mission yet? Did anyone else find it to be a total and utter fuckfest? :v:

Did it on Commander. It was like beating my dick with a hammer. Did the extra difficulty add more enemies or just add more health?

From what I understand, there is an indicator at the bottom of the screen in geosphere view, where you can see how much each facility will remove from the timer.
Also, the amount of days till avatar finishes depends on when next progress would happen (add +1 block to the timer), that's why it varies a lot.

None of them were Faceless.

Did you find out by throwing a grenade at them?
Did it on Commander. It was like beating my dick with a hammer. Did the extra difficulty add more enemies or just add more health?
As far as I can tell both. Let me write down what I encountered.
I'll spoiler ahead so if people HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE GAME DO NOT CLICK THESE SPOILERS
[sp]The pods leading up to the final battle were as follows. Separated into the pods themselves as I encountered them advancing
4 Advanced Advent Mecs
Sectopod, 2 advanced mecs, 2 muton centurions.
3 berserkers, 3 faceless.
2 archons, 2 vipers 1 Gatekeeper
4 Heavy/Elite stun lancers or whatever you call them.
After these ordeal I hit the main room.
Where the end battle consisted of the avatars of-course. Then 3 sectoids, 2 archons, 3 vipers, 4 mutons, 3 advanced mecs, 3 chrysilids and a couple others I can't quite remember.[/sp]
So a lot of enemies, and all pretty high on health and armor.
Also have some stat screens.
