My Kelly changed name and nationality, then went ahead to become one of my best Rangers.
I made a mod [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=619092293]that lets you use all the lower tech armor pieces on the higher tech armors.[/url] This includes all the armors, unlike the other mod on the Workshop which just adds Kevlar and the DLC torsos to them.
If you try to mix and match pieces keep in mind things might look weird, but there isn't really anything I can do about it. The last arm/leg piece for Predator and Warden armor is invisible for use with the Resistance armors because unlike every other armor in the game the legs and arms are included with the torso piece.

I know I'm kind of late but my Kelly got panicked, ran into the open and got brained by an advent soldier on the third turn of the first mission.
I am not experiencing any of the reported performance issues other people are experiencing, I occasionally notice dips from 90FPS down to 60FPS but nothing that causes the game to hang, chug or become unresponsive.
Is anyone else problem free?
Is it me or the rng in this extremely fucked? Like in eu or ew if it was 70% it was still more likely to hit. In this it's like 20% and most of my shots are not even hitting when the enemy is flanked.
Opposite for me. In ew heavies never hit and were useless. They hit way more often in 2. But their main point is grenades anyways.
Give an EW heavy a scope and bullet swarm, and you've got an accurate, fairly flexible damage powerhouse. Plus rockets whenever things get hairy.

I'm fairly often getting 90-100% Shot hit percentage at the end of my missions, though that doesn't include overwatch shots.
I'm so glad there's no longer a penalty to using explosives.

heavies almost never hit in EU because of the innate low aim of the class
with hidden potential and/or not created equally on they were great
on the other hand snipers can't hit anything far away (which is the whole point of being a sniper) and most of their long range perks reduces accuracy even further till the last perk trees anyway. you either go gunslinger or resign to a life without sniping
someone at firaxis really, really hated how people abused squadsight snipers back in EU
Rangers are op as hell with concealment bonuses, swords are made pretty much obsolete with run and gun. Specialists are awesome since they have guaranteed damage as well as the ability to save a mission with hacking. I'm pretty meh about shooty heavies but explosive ones are great. idk how to feel about snipers thus far.

Getting a Shredder on my Specialist through the AWC just helped me out so incredibly hard against my first Sectopod encounter.

So does scanning/making contact with the first black site actually trigger the Avatar clock to start? Or is it always ticking from the very start of the game?
I've just run into the strangest problem. I've been running two grenadiers in my squad; one shooting-focused and one demo-focused. Annoyingly, the AWC just gave my shooting-focused grenadier the Phantom perk. Now I can't lead ambushes with my demo heavy because then my shooty heavy won't fire. But if I lead with my shooty heavy, my demo heavy has to forgo using his explosives for the ambush. It's kinda messed up my strategy.
I can't find a way to get rid of the bonus perk either. Trying to re-spec in the AWC doesn't work. Anyone know if I could just edit an .ini?
Wow so I was getting trashed in missions on Legend difficulty, decided to give a new campaign a shot on Commander difficulty. This is so much easier... I'm actually enjoying the game a lot more!

It's a scripted event around the 22nd of the first or second month.
My AWC gave one of my snipers Holo targeting, either he hits and kills it or it's pretty much a guaranteed hit for who ever attacks next.

My no. 1sniper got the perk that makes her automatically hunker down if she hasn't fired on that turn. Needless to say she hasn't been hit once

Can you get more than 2 armor on your dudes?
I went to skull jack an advent officer on a tile lower than my ranger and I ended up ramming it up his ass.
