On another note, I finally tried out legendary. I figured since commander was tricky but not unsurmountable that the next logical step was to bump up the difficulty. Did you guys ever watch that video where Jake talks about how when you're balancing a game, you tend to change only one thing at a time? Like, you're changing a bunch of knobs, but if you turn up too many knobs at the same time then you don't which one had the biggest impact. Well, they turned up ALL the knobs for this one. Everything takes a lot longer to build and research. I'm going to have fun with this until I ragequit.

So I deploy my squad for a Guerilla Op, but as the mission's loading I realize I forgot to put an EXO suit on one of my guys, so I alt-f4 and try again. It gives me the exact same mission, but with 50 more supplies than the reward previously was :v:

I hope someone makes a mod so you can dress your guys up as advent troopers. I get serious judge dredd vibes from the trooper uniforms

My squadie sniper with a level 1 repeater just got an execution on a 29% hit. Good god I will protect this soldier with my life.

Bullshit like this is why I refuse to play on Iron Man. Avenger Defense mission, with a Codex in the pod nearest the ship. Codexes were a mistake

I just started a mission literally on top of the aliens. as in "moved one square and there were vipers and sectoids surrounding my soldiers" The Firebrand breaks LoS better than me.

She won't teleport away on her turn either, so just have your dudes in cover ready to overwatch that bitch and she'll either run for cover or take a pot shot.

So, I got a good couple of stream highlights for you with the whole FP crew in my squad. Let's just say I got fucked over. Hard. uuh Enemy Within has some really weird FPS issues on my laptop. Randomly it will drop from 40 to 20-15 unless I alttab, wait a couple of seconds, and open game again.

Decided to try Commander Ironman. Getting fucking fucked on these pod placements. 3 Missions in and I've lost 2 soldiers on each with the others always wounded, because two pods will be merged into each other and both will always have sectoids. But on the second mission, I had a guy really pull through. One guy was panicked by sectoids every turn, and the other two were dead. But he stayed strong. He managed to pick off a trooper, and three more + a sectoid + a zombie were closing in. He missed a shot and set fire to a truck, which killed the sectoid who decided to cover there. Then he ran back to reload with his now unpanicked partner, and fired another missed shot that killed another trooper. The final trooper ran up and reloaded, and was killed by another burning care, apparently set ablaze by our hero again. He killed 5 of the 7 or so aliens by his complete self. I still lost though. Ran out of time. Fuck the timers.

My XCOM2 crashes a lot and then refuses to acknowledge that it is no longer running on Steam, requiring Steam to be completely shut down before I can play again. Real fuckin' annoying.

Alright guys n girls. Long story short i been feeling like shit so havent played anything, bought anything or read anything, and well i trust you lot to point me in the right direction. Agree = Buy the basic game. Disagree = Buy the Deluxe it adds enough to be worth it (I'm not fussed about the music). Funny = Buy the basic game now, buy the DLC later on when it's on sale.

I really wish there was an Upgrade to Deluxe dlc, I want the soundtrack.
