At least incendiary grenades are good, they grenades do good damage and the burning effect usually deals more damage than poison.

How to deal with Andromedons and Sectodpods, a guide by Janus Vesta:
Very quickly.
Usually I do deal with them quickly, I had never encountered this ability before now, and I've done quite a bit of missions.
It's a long shot, but I'm hoping someone out there will make a mod that adds a way to have an offline skirmisk where you make your squad just like multiplayer, but against AI that makes random squads depending on the ressource limit, or you can give it presets or it shuffles between multiple presets.
I love the multiplayer because of how fun the aliens are in Xcom2, but holy shit is it annoying right now between how slow it is to switch turns and the codex spam.

I haven't played any MP but yeah that's what I was planning if I ever got a match :v:

[sp] 2 codexes? fuck off[/sp]
I had [sp]two codexes, two snakes, a red mec and a white mec [/sp] on top of the evac point in the last vip I did. Best way to solve that, and what I did, is to just blow the floor out from under them and let them drop.
Ace squad died I quit.
I played a couple of matches of the multiplayer. Pretty fun but the delay is fucking insufferable.
Here's a cool team I made.

Just set back Project Avatar by 3 pips by doing an easy as shit mission where I had to blow up a thing with X4 then extract to a location of my choosing where they only got one reinforcement.
Is it me or does the enemy hit you a lot more now? I get hit like 1/5 times
Heh, have fun taking out your next facility. For each facility you engage the enemy up the security.

The SDK has something like that, although its for debugging purposes. You generate a map based on what you want, then create a squad by importing the character pool or randomly generate your squad. It's crude, but it works if you desperately want a skirmish mode.
I tried to stealth a facility.
I managed to sneak up and run and gun the X4, which auto revealed everybody, so I had to get my Psi dude in to inspire the planter so she could walk through a wall to the evac. I managed to evac everybody but my sniper, who was hunkered in hard cover. On the aliens turn, I realized that my psi soldier was still inside. WHOOPS.
He got crit by an archon and started bleeding out, ADVENT came out of the woodwork and my sniper was in bluemove of the evac. Instead of leaving, he grappled on to the roof, dropped down, picking up his buddy and ended his turn a square away from evac, a sectopod flanking, two stun lancers in melee range, an officer in full cover near the evac and a muton behind him. Also, about four archons, a couple of codex and the reinforcements that showed up.

Deerborne the fucking hero. The icing on the cake is that he has been the best soldier in my roster in terms of kills.
[editline]hero[/editline]
His nickname is ironic.
So I submitted my character to CGNick for the namelist, but as I was thinking of a bio I realised that XCOM shares a rough plot with a certain cartoon. So this is now my bio:
Long ago in a distant land, I, T.Hinman the shapeshifting master of darkness, unleashed an UNSPEAKABLE evil. But a foolish XCOM warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me.
Before the final blow was struck I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is LAW! Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is ADVENT.
I can't even run the proper game yet I've just been in the character creator wasting time, as expected.

I'll make it seem less unreasonable by saying that's basically the same as them having a 20% chance to hit, which compared to the average player hit chance is pretty biased against them.
Also I found a mod that flips chance around so it shows chance to miss instead of chance to hit. Gonna play with it for a while and see if it has any effect on my playstyle

I couldn't think of anything for mine so I just put "HELP IM TRAPPED IN A BIOGRAPHY FACTORY"

I consider anything above 70% to be a hit and get mad when it doesn't happen
If you want a better handle on percentages, take every single shot you can no matter how good or bad it seems. Back in EW Longwar I started doing this with my D team on really easy missions and boy howdy you hit more 30s and 40s than you think.
Dont get me killed aight?
I dunno about him, but you're my top Ranger
im just not getting how people are this mind blown at RNG.
grenades! your friend!

No one remembers when 30-40% hits, but many go mad when 70-80% misses. I'm quite tempted to try out a mod I've seen on Workshop that flips to-hit chances with to-miss percentages. It's interesting how it will affect my perception. I wish mods wouldn't break saves, guess they'll fix it eventually.

Combat Protocol! Your friend!
and the mimic beacon is literally jesus if you throw it into hard cover
Seriously, explosive grenades in XCOM2 are like flashes in LW. Use em or lose operatives, I know I've lost soldiers cause I didn't bring enough boom.
and the mimic beacon is literally jesus if you throw it into hard cover
And much like Jesus it can be resurrected.
like grenades are a godsend if aliums are all stacked up on cover opposite to you, just blow out the wall/objects and say hello to yellow crit time
Can the mimic beacon be deployed without breaking concealment?
Stuck on a facility ATM in my ~perfect~ run and I'm running out on tactics to try and counter a pair of Sectopods and MECs guarding the place alongside elite ADVENT.
I'm yet to try holding out while digging in and stirring up shit for one of my Rangers to sneak past them.
Supply-wise I'm right below power armor, problem is that the AVATAR timer is ticking so I'm not sure if I can leg it to the Black Market (India) and back to Chile before it expires.
Ending spoilers
[sp]So I'm about to start the advent tower mission. Do I only get to use three of my soldiers?[/sp]

Once you hit the objective everyone goes loud, so there really isn't a point.
