It doesn't carry over but you do get less and less time when it hits the countdown. First time it happened to me was the full 20 or so days. Second time it was down to 11.
Is anyone else having an issue where the game won't start up and you have to restart the computer to get it working? I keep getting a steam error saying, "The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request for XCOM 2. Error Code (41)." Error 41 isn't on the steam support site so I'm not sure what exactly to do to fix it.

I already installed it 3 times, verified it with steam, and tried installing everything in those redist folders but I had the latest versions already.
Gatekeepers are the biggest cocksuckers.
I wish there was a stand your ground mission type, other than defending the ship. All the missions are either go destroy/capture A, and then escape or hunt down kill all enemy. Defend the transmitter doesn't count, since it's the same set up as destroy transmitter missions, only you have to rush to it.
Game could really use some more mission variety in general.
I wish you could pick up ADVENT bodies to take back to the Avenger to sell or research. Or make it so you can take the body to get the weapon so you can research a way to reconstruct ADVENT rifles when you take their bodies home. You could balance them by putting them on par with (or slightly weaker than) magnetic weapons but also make it so they have to be obtained individually and they can't have mods on them.

That last mission [sp]Was such a blast. Dominated a Gatekeeper early on, used it as my scout. Had a ton of fun at the human-house part, got to send the big wrecking ball right through the walls, and ended up triggering both Sectopods that way. First time I'd gotten to see sectopods do anything, too; before then I'd always just stasis-locked them with my 2 Psi-Ops. The way they stand is up kinda terrifying, huh? In the end, I never got to see any of the enemy Avatars attack, was able to nuke them down as they spawned, save for the third one, which I stasis'd anyways. Ended the fight by Mind-Controlling an Andromedon and having him acid-grenade the final Avatar, that was a blast, and I even got a picture of it [/sp][URL="http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/550932579088842165/81AFFC8F70627D6FF83E1B13D4F14CFE7E262FB8/"]here[/URL] [sp] Final team is [/sp][URL="http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/550932579088821502/0941801D98EFD5B46BCA0777D273CD17610F1EEC/"]here[/URL] [sp] Could have probably spent some more time, got another WAR Suit for my healer, a Wraith Suit for my Assault, and finished off the Leader Class tree on my Sharpshooter for that +Aim bonus on the whole team, but it all worked out fine enough[/sp]
Now, time to play through again on a higher difficulty, without savescumming like a monster
This last mission is doing something that's making my game buggy as hell. I missed a 100% shot, all of my soldiers got acid burn randomly when no enemies were even active, I tried using faceoff but my guy just stood up then sat down and ended the turn. Is the main enemy of the last mission the game itself?

Install the stuff in steamapps\common\XCOM 2 SDK\Binaries\Redist.

They mention at some point that they're imprinted to ADVENT and actually release a toxin or some shit if you're not verified. ADVENT takes their security stuff seriously.

The included prereqs that come with the sdk and game didnt work for me so I had to use that and now it works fine.
if i knew how fucking buffed PSI soldiers got in 2, i would have made a whole squad of the fuckers from the get go.
Dude psi soldiers are so fucking OP it's hilarious and fun. I didn't get one until I was well past alien tech and I regret not getting one asap.

I had no trouble taking them out, same with the gatekeeper that was inside the UFO, it was just kinda like "wow what the fuck three of them already?" :v:
I'm afraid of them patching the game and it either breaks my save or some changes require new saves. Consequently I'm hoping to finish the game real quick now though, I'm pretty sure I can just railroad the last few missions. [sp] I researched the psionic gate, and I have to skulljack a codex. I'm in a really good position soldier and gear wise, all colonels and end armor/weapons so I'm hoping I can play it out indefinitely so I can max out a psi operative or two.[/sp]
I'm really digging my squad setup, but it's a really delicate synergy. Every soldier fulfills a particular goal, and swapping one person screws it up, especially my specialists. One is combat focused and one is medic focused.
