Do the loading screens get more distorted as you get further into the storyline? I swear they look different.

Is it me or is the world map way too frantic? I barely have any time to do anything in it before being thrown into another mission. This is something I always hated about XCOM EU, it felt as if I got way too many missions too quickly, I also hate the terror\retaliation missions, I was actually hoping we'd get base assault missions instead of more terror missions from XCOM EU. I just don't find those missions fun in any way. I don't feel as if I have a ton of a choice either, the world map kinda plays itself until I click through most pop ups until the next mission. Maybe it's just the difficulty itself though. Also I realized that the game was built around with the idea of being way more fast paced, but I feel as if I'd need more moments to relax a little bit before a battle :v: I'm actually dissapointed by the lack of story cutscenes, I would've loved to see more. Not too many though, just the right amount. I'll most likely change my mind as I keep playing so, whatever, I'm near the end which is why I wrote this :v: Cutscenes can be a great tool to slow the pacing though, and to give you a moment to relax, kinda like in Resident Evil 4 (without the QTEs though).

i like the normal standard armours over all the upgraded sci-fi stuff
So anyone have ideas for alternative weapon tiers? IE you could research Lasers instead of mag weapons, some sort of Tesla weapons somewhere, maybe phasers instead of plasma, etc

Also someone needs to bring back the Jetpack, perhaps as a development project using Archon tech mixed with shieldbearer tech to protect them while they are in the air or something. Also, what would really be cool as a mod, imagine a mission in which you take on some of the original aliens from EU, like you find an old crashed UFO with some of the older aliens in stasis or something and you finding it reactivates them, I think that would be pretty neat, and it let's you obtain some older tech, or unique customization options from the previous games to play around with.

I was really hoping the tier 2 and 3 armors would be more of a crude but effective setup instead of evil looking silver lined geometric patterns and sleek smooth power armor.
Can't wait for the Nexus XCOM 2 nude mods with a boob slider and everything.
The scifi armors really do clash with the, resistance aesthetic, especially when tattoos and headgear are concerned I mean, Tier 2 looks haphazard enough but powered armours just straight skyrocket into "lol we TRON now" territory and I'm left wondering where in her ass did Shen suddenly pull the advanced machining and manufacturing capability to build smooth glowy designer armor from :vs:

T3 gear looks like Vanu kit ripped straight from planetside 2. bloody xenos touching zealots. Loyalty until death. ballistics buff mods when

I even made peace with their weird looks, although colours and patterns just straight-up don't look as good on them as the previous tiers

With the aliens loving to mess with DNA-combinations, it would've made sense to make a "chameleon-alien" that could change it's genetic make-up on the field, getting abilities from other aliens, and switching focuses like strength or speed.
