Since its been a while when I last played GTA 5, is it possible to join multiple crews? Or you have to leave your current one to join a new one?
You can be a member of up to 5 crews. One can be your "active" crew (what emblem and tag you use and who it matches you with when selecting "Join Crew Members") and you can switch between active crews at any time in-game.

They cant just fix it, because of how they do their sad excuse of netcoding, they trust the client with basically everything.
When you do that cheating will run rampant.
it's funny though, it's solvedish in GTA4... modded clients get their own side of the whole thing, unmodded players can join if they want... don't need to.
To be fair, listen servers allow you to freely play invite only and solo sessions without having to consume an entire dedicated server JUST for you.
That would be a hellish nightmare for their infrastructure team.
I like how Red Dead Redemption handled Multiplayer, in that your data was saved locally, so basically you could make yourself the top rank and have everything unlocked by simply editing the save file.
