Tell that to Rodney King.
So has anything happend regarding using menus? I checked out MPGH out of curioisty and aparrently .dll injection is now detected. The new method is using CloneHookV2.dll or something
Woop unbanned tomorrow, time to cry at no money.
Does anyone still have the steam launch options for GTA IV that are supposed to make it run better?
Some one posted them on facepunch before if I recall correctly

Try downgrading it, it helped me alot. From 10/20 fps on min settings to 60 fps on maxed out graphics.
Multiplayer works too, I tried it out before and works it pretty well.
Euphoria is still there, it is just toned down. Cops will still grab onto your car if you drive away while they're trying to open the door, people react to being thrown through the air and being shot.
Regards to cop AI:
I could be wrong, but I believe in LSPDFR if you're not on duty the cops still use the modded AI. Tazers and that, they won't shoot unless shot.
Though one thing I noticed, cops in LSPDFR have laser pointers on their tazers for some reason :v:
I thought police tasers usually have laser pointers

pretty much explains why GTA IV's single player was more enjoyable than V's
If GTAIV was better optimized, had tighter gunplay, and had more of the features GTAV had I'd strongly prefer it. The GTAIV has always run like shit for me on every PC I've ever played it on, and even the trailers for GTAIV had obvious lag in them. I feel like GTAV was designed more around player control and less about environmental control. In GTAIV, you had a decently high chance of flipping your car at high speeds, while that's negligible at best in GTAV, where you can also just flip your car back over in case of a car flip. In GTAIV, you had to wait for however long in the day to pass so you could do a mission, whereas in GTAV it just speeds up time for you if the mission needs to take place at a certain time. As far as Euphoria and the gunplay go, it was neat for the first bit you played, but then the enemies never falling down combined with weak-sounding weaponry made the weapons feel like they were shit. Plus, the customization options in IV were basically nonexistent. You had like 7 tracksuits, 7 suits, some masks/hats, and an unlockable outfit or two, not to mention the cars where there was actually genuinely nothing you could change except maybe color iirc, but you couldn't even select what color you wanted.
I'm not saying GTAV is a better game by any stretch, I had way more fun playing through GTAIV and its expansions with the First Person mod than playing GTAV in actual First Person, but since that video was biased towards GTAIV being better, it left some shit out that I missed from even San Andreas like the car customization and faux RPG stats that they brought back in GTAV.
Unbanned in 4 days. Next ban is a perma :^]
Four people of another PC GTAO group I'm a part of just messaged me on Steam at nearly the same time saying they'd been banned. Then I got a text from a RL friend saying the same thing.
I think ANOTHER banwave is happening.
[editline]t[/editline]
One additional Steam message and text since posting this. Seven bans so far just in the people I know.
[editline]t[/editline]
Checking in-game, I myself have apparently also been banned. There is no length specified and I didn't get an email. Never cheated once.
:saddowns:
Attention: current injection/script hooks are NOT SAFE. The current ones on sites are UNTESTED, and R* can now detect most external manipulation. Do not use any hacks or mods online until someone comes out with a stable workaround.
Edit: The ban wave is due to what I warned y'all about last time. Don't discuss cheating or hacking of any kind.

Or how about just don't hack online period
Or how about just don't hack online period
Some people just don't get the message. Anyone in the thread who immediately went back to cheating after the ban expired is likely perma'd, or are next in line.

Good? Like what's the issue here.
Just letting the people who did cheat know to expect the worst from here on.
I warned y'all last ban wave to keep it low-key.
A lot of people with no history of cheating are getting the axe this time as well it seems.
Maybe because of association with cheaters? If so that hardly seems fair at all.
according to the rockstar support forums i am mic banned from online. even though i had never used my microphone online to begin with, rockstar decided to ban me from using the mic permanently. fucking great.

It's happened before. Most of the time they figure you have shared illegitimate funds with them and as a precaution ban them too or wipe cash. Other times (moreso months back) they would just watch for private sessions that has money dropped and just ban the lobby instead of figuring out who exactly was cheating. Easy fix to the old money lobbies.
More likely they are noticing a trend with players involved with FAPS. It makes sense; the group had a dedicated trainer made for a bit, many members cheated and got banned as a result, so why not just assume everyone is guilty to some degree?
Either way, if I don't get a ban duration or can't get the game refunded, I'm going to be weighing my legal options this next week.
I'm not going to take being banned for nothing with no explanation (not even an automated support topic) sitting down.

Because that is a terrible way to build a good and trustworthy relationship with your consumers? When it comes to messing with your player's experiences, ones that they payed for, you better have a damn good reason to do so. A heavy-handed approach to things like banning for cheats / mods that can easily catch innocent players in the crossfire is not something that should be considered.

Unfortunately, you should prepare for disappointment. T2 or R* support will likely shrug off any claim, hell, look at the R* support ATM.

Let's be real man.
They don't give a fuck. Guilty until proven innocent.

What they did straight-up isn't legal. As a consumer in the united states you have a right to a product or service you buy, unless you forfeit that right by breaking an accompanying agreement, in which case it is the responsibility of the provider of said product or service to inform you of why you no longer qualify for it. Providers of a product or service which costs money cannot legally enforce a silence policy regarding termination, whether or not it says anywhere in their agreement that they don't have to tell you anything.
I have been given no information either about the duration of the ban or of why it was given. If I had either of those I would have no case.

My only fear is getting inactive and getting banned again.
I heard this happened to few of my friends, and my next is perma, i want to go to GTA:O with no hacks but im scared to get another ban.
I got banned after getting hacked money in a public lobby a bit after I reinstalled the game, so that shows that their hack detection is just stupid.
attention: if you can identify this naked man running rampant through vinewood hills, please notify the authorities immediately.

Aparrently the only safe injection method is using clonehook

Like they give a shit about their consumers. Rockstar might low-key, but their higher-ups don't give a fuck for sure.

you could sometimes do that in gta 4 too but it was a whole lot harder. you had to wiggle the wheels left and right a good bit and build up momentum that way. mostly not worth doing since whatever car you had would cause about 900 of them to spawn

mine too. I get unbanned today
My next ban is perm, fun fun fun.
Get unbanned today, time to see if my cash is back to 6k, if it is I'm not touching this again.
