It just a bug that sometimes that occurs where they don't load or they're deposited in to storage.
20k really is a fucking terrible amount of money to reset people to You can do jack shit with it, even with ammo purchases and all that
Why did they even feel the need to add the money system... I mean, I get it with the heists and all that but so much is just pointless. I wish it was more like JC2 MP, where you can just have fun without restrictions.
My next ban is perm, fun fun fun. Get unbanned today, time to see if my cash is back to 6k, if it is I'm not touching this again. [editline]19th January 2016[/editline] Ayyy lmao time to uninstall. [editline]19th January 2016[/editline] And they removed vehicles I didn't even mod with cheated cash, glorious. [editline]19th January 2016[/editline] Go out of garage, walk back in, vehicles come back. :what:
Are you cheating your money?
Are you cheating your money?
Not anymore considering next ban is perm.
oh wow what a brilliant game i'm encountering this persistent 'error trying to activate' problem, and no, i'm not using vpn at all
I don't think it's unreasonable for Rockstar to remove your stuff if you've been caught cheating multiple times
I don't think it's unreasonable for Rockstar to remove your stuff if you've been caught cheating multiple times
Double edged sword, it makes you want to cheat to get it back again, only for you to run the risk and get banned and it loop back to square one. Removing stuff really just promotes the attitude of "fuck this I'll do it again to get back to where I was" while not removing is just a slap on the wrist and you end up either going "oh ok" or "hahaha time to keep going". People will cheat regardless.
That's a fucking stupid attitude, if they catch you cheating and take your stuff away, you don't fucking cheat again, you understand that they're going to ban you and take your shit when you cheat, so you stop cheating, not carry on with the mentality of a child. And people who get banned but don't get their shit removed, if they carry on cheating they can fuck off, if they don't carry on cheating, they're still a shit from cheating in the first place, but at least they're not doing it anymore.
What about the people being unfairly banned by receiving cheated money? Is it fine for their stuff to be wiped as well? Especially if they wanted nothing to do with it like Hiro.
Why did they even feel the need to add the money system... I mean, I get it with the heists and all that but so much is just pointless. Gotta still make that $$$$$$$$$$$ after all yoooo.
Are there any mods that make GTA IV not run like shit? I really like IV but I'm playing it on a decent machine now and it runs like shit
What about the people being unfairly banned by receiving cheated money? Is it fine for their stuff to be wiped as well? Especially if they wanted nothing to do with it like Hiro.
No this is actually bullshit, if you don't cheat, have some fucker dump money on you and then you get banned for it, that's not fair at all.
Are there any mods that make GTA IV not run like shit? I really like IV but I'm playing it on a decent machine now and it runs like shit
Downgrade it to 1.0.4.0, otherwise there ain't shit you can really do.
No this is actually bullshit, if you don't cheat, have some fucker dump money on you and then you get banned for it, that's not fair at all.
Well it happens and they get the same treatment as someone like me, who gave themselves 10m just so they can buy stuff, I didn't dump anything on anyone else (unless they asked). All R* is doing is checking what you get, when you get and how you get it. They don't care and can't actually tell if you spawned it on yourself or if someone else spawned it onto you because all that's happening is a spawner is being placed on the player, due to how the netcode works its impossible to tell who called the spawner because every player inside a lobby can call anything, essentially everyone has "admin access" to events online. So if someone spams 2~40k money bags on you, you'll get flagged for having those entities going onto your player, but if someone spams a ped cash void on you, you wont get flagged (yet) because those entities are not setup to ban (currently, but if they did you'd get banned for all ped cash pickups).
No this is actually bullshit, if you don't cheat, have some fucker dump money on you and then you get banned for it, that's not fair at all.
How would they differentiate though? There's no way for them to detect if you just happened to have someone give you a bunch of money or did you have someone do it on purpose.
I don't know, ask Rockstar about their shitting banning system and how the flying fuck it works, because in my eyes it doesn't, it's shite and Rockstar should feel bad for it.
I don't know, ask Rockstar about their shitting banning system and how the flying fuck it works, because in my eyes it doesn't, it's shite and Rockstar should feel bad for it.
Again, how could they differentiate? It's impossible for them to check whether you had intent to get that money or not.
Something that I still don't understand is why I'm special When I got unbanned, I was left with fucking 10 million, where as people on this forum and even my friends were only left with 20k.
Again, how could they differentiate? It's impossible for them to check whether you had intent to get that money or not.
They could remove entities that have the ability to add a ludicrous amount of money(money bags) from the game, especially since armored trucks no longer spawn. As for the ped spawning cash, the max for a stack of bills is $2,000. And they could also just keep backups of your cash, and roll you back instead setting you to a stupid amount.

Ok, I reaaaallly could use some tech support. GTA 5 is the ONLY game out of my entire steam library (Mad Max, Witcher 3, JC3, etc) to perform shit. REGARDLESS of settings (everything low, off, disabled, etc) vsync on/off, low resolution, everything, the problem still occurs. My audio AND video will hiccup/freeze for 1-2 seconds, like a really bad lag spike, in GTAO or singleplayer. Its not an FPS drop, but rather, 60 FPS is still being reported even though the screen is completely still and no audio (1-3 seconds then resumes just fine) I wiped everything from my PC last night and reinstalled windows 10. Rig: I5-3570K Mobo: MSI Z77A-GD65 EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 4 Fans, and watercooled CPU. 750w Corsair Gold or whatever I've tried optimizing the nivida control panel settings, everything. It still hiccups and freezes. Does anyone have a solution? It really sucks, I just upgraded my graphics card and get this shit. I've tried dropping back every driver for NVIDIA, same, or worse performance.

Also with the people who still have their money, are you just looking at the social club or in game? The amount you have won't be updated on the social club until you sign in to the game itself. Otherwise, you might have been banned for something else and that reason doesn't include a money reset.
Again, how could they differentiate? It's impossible for them to check whether you had intent to get that money or not.
By actually focussing on the real problems the multiplayer has and not wasting resources on people that cheated cash. To be honest, they should just remove the fucking money system. It's pointless and the fact that you can buy these fucking shark cards makes it even more stupid. I really hope they won't use it in the next GTA because holy shit, it made online a joke.
- snip, confidentiality -
Now I'm curious as to what was so funny.
I've not had problems with money really. I can make 500K easily in 2 hours, which is reasonable. Shark cards keep the free DLC and stuff coming. Its a great Pay for Fun or Play for Fun system. I can play and get anything that someone who pays can get. I'm guessing gamers are just ignorant to business and how much it costs to maintain these games and shit. Nothing will ever be free, that's how capitalism works. If it's free, you're paying elsewhere.
Now I'm curious as to what was so funny.
He plans on suing rockstar for banning him from important video games
He plans on suing rockstar for banning him from important video games
You have no idea what legal escalation is do you What we're trying to do is find the best way to resolve the issue WITHOUT doing that, if possible [editline]t[/editline] Like I said before, the ban itself isn't the issue. It's the fact they gave no duration or explanation of any kind, which isn't legal in the case of a paid service in the united states.
