[del]He plans on suing rockstar for banning him from important video games[/del]
He plans on getting a lawyer to get him unbanned from gta online
You have no idea what legal escalation is do you What we're trying to do is find the best way to resolve the issue WITHOUT doing that, if possible [editline]t[/editline] Like I said before, the ban itself isn't the issue. It's the fact they gave no duration or explanation of any kind, which isn't legal in the case of a paid service in the united states.
I'm pretty sure any company can ban you for as much as they want if they find you violating the ToS in some way.
I'm pretty sure any company can ban you for as much as they want if they find you violating the ToS in some way.
But they HAVE TO TELL YOU WHY if you paid for it. Even if it's just a generic statement, there HAS TO BE CONTEXT. And again, I did literally nothing wrong. Never cheated, never spent cheated money, nothing. I was banned for absolutely no reason and was not told why.

[editline]20th January 2016[/editline] Also I don't even know what you're really talking about since you removed your post. I don't know why you're arguing about it when you decided to remove your post.
Because Doozle likes belittling things that sound absurd when oversimplified. Either way, enough of this. Posting about it might not have been smart anyway, let's move on.
Now. I'm no lawyer, I don't even know what legal escalation means. But doesn't this on Rockstar's legal page mean they can do what they want?
The Company may terminate or suspend any and all Online Services and any registered account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach any terms and conditions of this Agreement. Upon termination of your account, your right to use the Online Services will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Online Services. All provisions of this Agreement which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
All that says is that they don't have to warn you ahead of time, and that the agreement still stands even after termination. IE, doing something that warrants a ban while you're already banned may be subject to additional disciplinary action if they feel it's necessary.
He plans on getting a lawyer to get him unbanned from gta online
Hiro is the one person who has always been against using a trainer online. Even when it was super safe and unlikely you'd get banned - he didn't do it. He never asked for hackerbux, nothing.
By all means if you reckon it'll work go for it. It just seems like a crazy jump. I mean shit happens, but I've never considered talking to a legal expert
he said something along the lines of, "Currently sitting with a legal consultant, something something, push forward with a case, blah blah blah I'm angry at video games." basically salty all around.
there hasnt been a single case of vehicle removal iirc.
I've had vehicles removed a few times. a sanchez with street bike wheels, an injection with muscle car wheels, and a stratum with no weird impossible mods
I've had clothes removed and then had my character put in clothes I don't even own.
All of this chat about bans are making me even more insecure of going back again. If my cars are fine (i didn't exploit some of them) i might join friends sessions and play a few missions, but won't do pubs again. If my properties are gone, i don't think i will be returning, cash is easy to recover for basic stuff.
Holy shit GTA online is still such a clusterfuck.. Get invited to Setup - join - session is full Return to free mode Get invited to Setup - join - dumbass players keep killing each other Return to free mode Get invited to Setup - join - fail, fail, fail, host leaves Return to free mode Get invited to mission - join - connection to host has been lost Connect to new free mode session - timed out - get returned to singleplayer 2 hours played, 0 money made.

Fuck the setups. I made about a million in around 30-45 minutes. Also, only play with high-level players.
i think you should only be banned from public servers when it comes to online. like still let me play with my friends in private and a solo session at least.
IT AINT ME. IT AINT ME!
no no, you're supposed to write >it ain't me starts playing anyways, is that shirt/helm a mod or vanilla?
There is something odd with last gen. Sometimes when I go back to my previous session I still have some invites in my phone but these are already expired invites for jobs that already started. i.e Start invite session Get invite from Michaelds88 for "The Flecca Job" Join another, completely different job on my own Finish job, go back to previous session There's a chance the invite from Michaelds88 might still be showing up at my phone, but I know that when I try to join it will send me straight into spectator because the player will be already playing.
just logged in for the first time since I got unbanned, had 20,000 dollars in the bank. fuck went to my south shambles garage to see if I had anything worth selling, and thank god I still had one of the custom moonbeams I was spawning and selling to make money before getting banned. sold that and am now sitting on a nice and comfortable half a million. my ammo reserves are full and I've got all the cars I could want all fully upgraded, so I think I'm good on the hacking front for a while
They added it because Online is a persistent revenue for them after their consumers bought GTA5. Gotta still make that $$$$$$$$$$$ after all yoooo.
fuck 'em for trying to bank on it it's why Online is what it is nowadays
forgot I had a fourth garage, there's another 2 million in custom moonbeams in there :v:
anyways, is that shirt/helm a mod or vanilla?
it's a clothing pack for trevor i'm working on [t]http://i.imgur.com/90hWvGt.jpg[/t]
fuck 'em for trying to bank on it it's why Online is what it is nowadays
The problem isn't that they have Shark Cards. The problem is that the money system is so unbalanced that it's pathetic. That and the shit-tier netcode/p2p online system which makes it impossible for them to correctly know who to ban when cash is spawned on people (or when destructive/griefing items are spawned on people) honestly makes me wonder how Team GodDev and Team Retardo are actually the same company. Like if you wanted to work for Rockstar North, you have to prove you're a super genius, but if you apply for the online department, you can just stumble into the interview office and drool on the HR manager's desk and you've got the job.
If anyone is still on last gen, could you do me a favor and study if the age setting affects the body as well or only the face Thank you [editline]20th January 2016[/editline] It'll be hard without fps mode, but fuck it might as well try
I had the same Situation. Trust me, you will find something that makes you poor again.
don't worry I already did
yep, ever since it came out on lastgen it's always like that for me
I might be imagining it, but I think forwarding the ports as listed by R* support seems to have helped a little. (tcp 80, 443, UDP 6672, 61455-61458) Also, my 300kbps upstream isn't helping either, as they're now stating 500kbps as the minimum required upstream bandwidth.
