I might be imagining it, but I think forwarding the ports as listed by R* support seems to have helped a little. (tcp 80, 443, UDP 6672, 61455-61458) Also, my 300kbps upstream isn't helping either, as they're now stating 500kbps as the minimum required upstream bandwidth.
Forwarding those ports helps with both online play and downloading. I can't speak on the online play itself, which is what the ports are recommended for, but my redownloading GTA V a few days ago went smoothly after setting up those ports in Avast. Before I set that up, I was getting sub-200KBps and constantly stopping, afterward it was downloading at 2MBps and didn't stop at all as far as I recall.
That's a fucking stupid attitude, if they catch you cheating and take your stuff away, you don't fucking cheat again
If they didn't reset you to not even being able to buy more than a two-car garage this might actually be feasible. Plus, the price of anything late-game in this is fucking ridiculous.
To those of you who doubted my approach, you can all suck it [t]http://i.imgur.com/CxFLaCx.jpg[/t] Okay not really, that would be rude, but I'm most definitely back! Short version... Nobody had any idea why I was banned in the first place. Like, at all. My records appeared clean from their end, and I was kind of surprised when the condescending "Alright fine, let's see what the logs say" suddenly turned into "Are you sure the username is right? Because you're not in any of these logs". I mentioned the lack of a ban duration again and the possibility was brought up that it might have been a user ID error (Something to that effect), or it might not have been them who did it in the first place (Basically suggesting a modder might've banned me. Scary thought.) Thankfully they seemed just as confused as I was, and within another half hour or so I got a return call bookended in formal apology letting me know my account was no longer banned. And so the saga concludes, thankfully with no one getting fingered.
I'm kinda debating wherever I should get V on pc or PS4 Let's say, I have a laptop with an i5 5200u and a 940m, somwhere at medium-high settings on 1024x768, should I go for pc or not risk it and just get it on PS4?
Go for it on PC. GTA V 's quite scalable, it'll run decently on lowest settings on an Intel graphics chip.
I have no worries about perf, since according to NotebookCheck the game on most settings normal and on, at 1366x786 should run at 50-ish fps Guess I'll roll with PC then

PC. It's not super prevalent but it does suck ass. EDIT: PS4 only has auto aim lobbies though, free aim is empty. PC is much more fun with free aim, occasionally ruined by modders/hackers or whatever.
TBH, I rarely ever seen hackers in PS3, I guess I msut be lucky or something Only now I've seen hackish stuff more often
Played a few hours of online on PS4 Just leveled up 2 ranks just by failing missions because randoms can't stop fucking around and/or dying. Are there any FPers left on PS4? or everyone moved to PC?

Woop, banned for 10 days until the 30th. This is my second bad, no idea why the short length [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] Has anyone got the list of ban types? Which kind is manual and which is automated? The words SC admin scare me
TBH, I rarely ever seen hackers in PS3, I guess I msut be lucky or something Only now I've seen hackish stuff more often
I meant PC has a shit ton of modders.
You're actions are probaly being monitored now, so if they detect you doing weird shit you're out again
There is no excuse for this. [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] Not even if you wrote this on a phone.
Was on the way to a VIP job at LSIA when this happened: My best stunt yet is an accidental one :v:
So is it possible to use graphical mods (non-ENB/SweetFX) in GTA Online yet? I haven't played in months and using mods like Visual V in GTA Online seemed pretty much impossible. I'm willing to bet it's the same case, unless there have been some massive developments in modding that I'm missing.
i miss going on dates and getting fucked like in san andreas good times
Online is so boring now Gtav needs its own ballad of gay tony.
Anyone got any good guides for compatibility with GTA IV on PCs nowadays? Reinstalled yesterday and was surprised with after a few commandlines and the GFWL workaround, it ran pretty well. RAn multiple times each for a few hours and was surprised how stable it was. Now I'm only a few hours in and each time I start it up I play fine for a few minutes and it keeps crashing.
Got unbanned, hooray. Im afraid i will get banned if i play because of my modded rides. Welp, better not run that game until new content arise.
I just noticed that they added Shark Card advertisements in the loading screen.
It would be sad if T2 doesn't allow Rockstar to make any more PC games after what happened here. Rather than seeing an opportunity for change or improvement, it's quite possible they'll demonize PC players instead. Other companies already have before.
I just noticed that they added Shark Card advertisements in the loading screen.
they always had these i think, atleast on last gen consoles pretty bullshit to be honest, id rather pay for DLCs than have an economy based around grinding and microtransactions the 10 million golden luxor jet is like 120 dollars in real life money if you bought shark cards, that is absolutely insane
I'd rather the game not be pay to win. That's a big mistake a lot of MMO and progression-oriented online experiences make, just look at basically every game by Nexon. Right now GTAO is "pay to sate your hyperconsumer appetite", with the stuff that actually gives you a meaningful gameplay advantage being locked behind missions or levels instead. "Pay to add spice, play to win" is much better than being at a laughable disadvantage if you don't spend an additional $50 on top of the $60 game you bought, at least in my opinion.
i miss going on dates and getting fucked like in san andreas good times
Now you can go to the strip club. Ask for a dance. Put your hands on her for 5 minutes. Then she'll give you her number for a booty call. Easier than taking them to Clucking Bell.
Easier than taking them to Clucking Bell.
I beg to differ.

Does anyone happen to know how GTAO faces work? Do you actually create a unique model for your face or is it something else? I've been trying to find a way to extract get my GTAO model and port it into Source and it's not exactly been easy.
