You could always use an earlier version if you're fine with the ban risk.

And while Friendly has been brought up, I'm out of ideas for features.
I've got Tranq Darts working as well as they're going to, Dirt Nap is a neat little bubble of death, and a performance tweak - and now that FiveM is gone I don't really know what to do. :v:

Oooh, I can totally make this work without affecting aircraft. Give me a day.
I don't know how easy this would be, but something i've noticed when using animation mods is certain animations have you levitate off the floor due to where the root bone ends up being.
I guess what I am trying to ask is would it be possible for a mod which disables collisions in a way which lets me get the root bone to stay where i noclip it (there's some animation like chair sitting, ledge sitting that I can't use due to how rockstar does animation)
It finally got approved.

Who would've guessed, running at 3840x2160 while also using 1.750x Frame Scaling is a VRAM killer.
It's a beautiful VRAM killer, at least.

God damn, if it wasn't for the San Andreas license plates, I would have guessed the second picture was from a FORZA game.
Seeing those model replacements makes me realize how bad the smoothing on most default cars is by comparison.

For fuck's sake there's a gigantic hole in the custom hoods for the Phoenix and Jackal when viewed at some angles, and the left fender ornament on the Tornado is fucking inside out.
I've been really put off modding again because of some PM's I got from people, 9/10 of them claiming I steal mods.:suicide:
So I was fooling around with some clips I got from GTAO and I noticed something on my character's face so I zoomed in and...

As with most self-made media, ignore the idiots and continue making great stuff.
People will get upset no matter what. My advice is to take it as validation that you're making enough of an impact to have haters in the first place.
I missed the 50% on cars
Why
There was a 50% on cars? When?
Must've been either before or after I bought the Vacca. Oops. :v:
Also, did anyone else get this?

GTA modding scene is a melting pot of 12 years old kids and brazilians, don't be bothered about such a thing. It's perfectly "normal" for this scene.

honestly screw the brazilian modding community that keeps putting their cheap ass Volkswagens that people never heard of

Did you delete the mod?

Also plastering Brazilian flags all over everything.
Why do all modders have such shit PCs? It's hard to see if a gun mod is worth using when the texture looks like a 2003 one on a modders PC.

One handy thing about GTA5-Mods is the user submitted videos. If a mod looks like shit and I think it's because of the graphics (ie. the picture has no AA, bad lighting, or is a fucking stretched 4:3 image), I can check out the videos and be sure that at least SOMEone has shown it on a better PC.
EDIT: Some shameless self-promotion actually, one of my mods I wanted to look as good as possible, so I downsampled some 4k + max settings shots to 720p :v:
I think i love the "Beast mode", that is one big fun actually. And the furthest jump with a car too.
Now i hope they'll keep updating, and give some more content. And for my personal request is police mode. Or just let us put police cars in our garage online. And ill put my hat off to R*.
Oh and if they wanted to add that too, doing missions when entering in a ambulance, firetruck, police cars, just like in Gta 4.
I wouldn't mind them taking the beast idea and adding an all-versus-one kill the juggernaut LTS.
So I modded the game to hell with tons of weapon and car mods, but the game keeps redownloading shit when i launch it. what do? It's downloaded total of 20gb extra cause of this (6gb each time i mod something)

You need a mods folder with OpenIV instead of just editing the original files. Basically you make copies of whichever file you need and edit that instead, so if a mod goes into x64e.rpf, make a copy and edit GTA\mods\x64e.rpf instead.

I do have OpenIV (latest from website) and all mod readme's said to just replace. (got a backup of the whole game if something fucks up)
Is there a good tutorial for this mod folder stuff?
Did you delete the mod?
Yeah, I'll just be reuploading it to my server. Facepunch exclusives all round I guess.

It's simple, just put \mods\ in front of anything you're told to replace.
If a car mod tells you to edit update\x64\dlcpacks\mpheist\dlc.rpf, copy the file and make it so that you have mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mpheist\dlc.rpf, and edit that instead. Just apply that knowledge to whichever file you have to edit. Mirror the path exactly, but with your mods folder at the start.
My god you can never have enough cars to satisfy yourself
Man when will someone mod in an apache or cobra attack chopper.
Well found a proper Chinook.

So FiveM's death (?) is pretty bad news for custom maps as well? They all ran on FiveM. Or what does this tweet mean exactly
In contrast to earlier rumors, CitizenFX will continue to be developed exclusively for licensees for both IV and V.
