I'm still waiting for the Max Payne parrot shirt.
You can tell the rockstar editor DOES NOT LIKE a particular clip when the circle loading thingy takes a minute to do its thing. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16349584/GTAV/271590_2015-10-11_00001.png[/t]
I'm really struggling to install updates. I haven't played in quite a while and today decided to try and fire it up, but it just won't install the updates. I got a retail copy because it was cheaper than getting it on Steam so I really don't want to reinstall it. Also I installed it on Windows 8.1, and now I've got Windows 10 so maybe something in the registry is missing? Any idea how I can fix this without having to completely reinstall?
All I want to do is get this movie done, but the void keeps calling me back... [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16349584/GTAV/271590_2015-10-11_00002.png[/t]
Modded or custom vehicles in GTA V, they still only replace existing vehicles in the game, right?
Modded or custom vehicles in GTA V, they still only replace existing vehicles in the game, right?
They normally do, but you can set up any vehicle mod whatsoever to work standalone.
They normally do, but you can set up any vehicle mod whatsoever to work standalone.
Is there a limit to how many vehicles to you cram into V like that?
Is there a limit to how many vehicles to you cram into V like that?
Not that I know of. If you install 5 or so standalone vehicles without changing any other file, it'll crash. But there are some parameters that you can increase to allow for more. I've adjusted these parameters every time I added a new car, and right now I have 37 extra vehicles with no issues, so basically you'll have to adjust gameconfig.xml every 10-15 cars you install. It's better than IV at least where you'll either experience crashes that you can't fix or weird stuff starts happening to the map. The only real problem to bear in mind is that, if you integrate them into traffic, they'll play havoc on your VRAM since they're typically much more detailed than normal cars. If you have a good enough PC this isn't a worry though. EDIT: Also, if Cookie reads this: _CP_ (the main dev of VisualV) is working on their own conversion of IV's missing cars to V. I dunno if that means anything different to your mod, whether or not you want to contact him to work together or something, but I just thought it might be good for you to know.
All of a sudden i've been getting GTAV Launcher has stopped working when starting the game up. Anyone else getting this?

Also have a land yacht. It's almost as long as the taco truck. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/644370850364540064/D8B0D1907BADD07C11FAB79A3C4B36D22DF088F5/[/t]
I give up, I was trying to install this mod: http://gtaforums.com/topic/789415-vehicle-controller-lights-engine-doors-cruise-etc/ but Scripthook just isn't loading at all. [editline]11th October 2015[/editline] also, for mods that you need OpenIV to install, I seem to remember being able to make a mod folder in my GTAV directory, can you still do that?
I knew the Buccaneer was long but I don't remember it being THIS long. It's almost as long as the taco truck.
That's actually rather modest for a cadillac of its era. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Kbhqcn4.jpg[/t] ('70 4-door compared to a silverado extended cab, size equivalent to the sandking) 70s caddies were fucking massive cars.

But compared to all other cars in GTA IV and V, nothing can compete. The only cars that are longer are commercial, utility and specialty vehicles. Everything else is just dwarfed by it.

Also, didn't the Virgo basically replace the IV Buccaneer? Just eyeballing it they look very similar. The Virgo has a shorter tail end (to accommodate the continental kit), as well as a less protruding front bumper, but outside of that they're quite close, looking like an exaggerated IV Buccaneer.
Modding is finally where I want it. Vehicle models was like the last hurdle and now we've got some quality stuff coming out. Most notably are new models for the military vehicles. The biggest glaring and jarring immersion issue I had with GTA V was the strange choice of military jeeps, tanks and aircraft. Thankfully there are now replacement to turn the Laser, Tank and others into Abrams, Apaches, Chinooks and others. There is even a whole mod dedicated to reskin troops into Marines, Army, Navy etc. and is more or less on point. Now we just need a Humvee replacement for the strange Jeep Wrangler clones and I can mod my GTA V to mirror reality.
When you're in Last-Gen I've been missing out a lot.
Man, I can't stand being kicked out of jobs for winning too many times. It's a noobish sort of compliment but it pisses me off. Does anyone know where I can find some tutorials for making car mods and put'em in the game?
http://gtaforums.com/topic/822945-ivpack-for-grand-theft-autov/
I've contacted _CP_ and handed over the cars that I've already done. We'll see what he thinks of them and hopefully we can work together to port the rest of the GTA IV cars.
The asi loader's log is saying that its failing to load ScripthookVdoetnet.asi, other .asi files are loading fine.
Since it uses .NET I'll decompile it when I get home and see if I can't figure out what's up.
Since it uses .NET I'll decompile it when I get home and see if I can't figure out what's up.
thanks man c: btw, here are my logs for the .asi loader and regular Scripthook http://pastebin.com/MxtTZi8B other important info: Retail version (non-steam, Rockstar Social Club only), Windows 10, and I'll double check my C++ Redistributable Package is updated as well. [editline]12th October 2015[/editline] holy shit that actually fixed it, im an idiot dunno why I didn't do that before.
Neat, I don't have to do any work then :v:
I'm still so paranoid to have any reasonable amount of money because I know mass framing still exists (and I've seen it happen to friends), and with all the T20s driving around I'd go broke from that happening to me. I fear I'll never get the Osiris I want :saddowns:

I manage to spend like 6mil of hackerbucks on boring sedans and suv I can't be trusted with real money
I manage to spend like 6mil of hackerbucks on boring sedans and suv I can't be trusted with real money
Better than seeing the constant chrome zentorno + golden kuruma imo
Why would you even chrome a lambo That would add like 1/3 the car's base weight and entirely defeat the point of it being lightweight for better performance. The one the Zentorno is based on has a 100% carbon fiber body just so it gets good acceleration from its very heavy engine; chroming that would cut its top speed and increase its 0-60 drastically. Basically I'm saying people who do that have absolutely no concept of feasibility or accuracy. Or taste. They're just easily amused by shiny things and enjoy driving a cubemap.
Be glad you aren't this unlucky guy who got banned for 20 years. I'd hate to be him right now. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/382036172073555355/6E51430FC61AB3A1523ADBEF7E5337827A21EFEB/[/t]
