I haven't checked this thread at all but FiveM is 100% alive. He just went off the radar.

I'm thinking of redownloading IV or V. Is LSPDFR better than LCDPFR?
I'm thinking of redownloading IV or V. Is LSPDFR better than LCDPFR?
Yeah, by a lot, and the devs themselves have more or less said the same. V is somehow far more flexible for scripting, which means LSPDFR is way more stable and has a nicer interface to boot, since it hooks into the native GTA menu system.
GTA V was definitely designed far better than IV, but of course they had more experience with the new engine when they started than they did with IV. Still, the small things just put a smile on my face, like how playing as Lamar causes Families members to actually acknowledge you as Lamar. This may be due to the original intent being that you would be able to play as Lamar at some point, but it's still cool.

I imagine all characters just have specific reaction triggers from certain peds, and switching your player model to that character simply adopts all that stuff.

Is this a mod? Or from singleplayer? I am dumb.
edit: Found it! A cool mod, gonna install tomorrow and be a dirty beat cop.
Holy shit, I just went and looked at those Lowrider images two pages and back, and saw both normal varsity/bomber jackets AND Lamar? Rockstar finally does an update worth looking forward to.
So I figured out how to mod custom models and textures into GTA V and all I can say is man, what a learning curve. It's not like I designed them, I just downloaded and installed them but it took me awhile to figure out. I'm glad I did because these vehicles look gorgeous.
LSPDFR is pretty great too but it took a very high degree of modding to get it to be fun and playable for an extended period of time. I just got TrafficPolicer and that script alone added hundreds of hours of content from just making traffic stops. PoliceRadio is another must have.
I hope that the base LSPDFR reaches this level of content from an entry-level stand point. I also hope they make it easier to add models and textures than it is now.
By the way, Allah Snakhbar had a warrant out for his arrest in regards to a Hit and Run. He went to jail that night.
Doesn't get any more gangster than using a tec9 in a low rider
str8 outta compton my n-word
nokia?
clean version of the voodoo is all i needed to hear from this update
clean voodoo is cool and all but I wish they would add mods to rusty voodoo and tornado as well
they probably won't
Oh god lowrider Tornado. I need that in my life.
If not this update then the next one, PLEASE.
is there any surviving hackerbux distributor on fp? theres no way i'm going to be able to afford the new update

If you wanna get banned, sure
I'm hopeful that after they got ridiculous overcharging out of their system last update, this stuff will be reasonable (400K at most)
The entire reason they made everything so expensive last time was to get rid of all that heist money. Now it's all gone, so... Hopefully?
No, the reason they make everything expensive is so we'll buy their fucking Shark Cards like the dumb shits they think we are.
Only car I'm really interested in is the Faction tbh

Well the Shark Cards are the reason why the DLC is "Free"
So you'll pay for the money to buy the free stuff :v:
I just think paying €75 for 8 million dollars in multiplayer is brain numbing.

No? Pretty sure someone affiliated with them even said at some point before those updates "oops, we flooded the economy and people aren't trying to earn money anymore, let's fix that"
Not everything is about the shark cards. Not even most things are about shark cards. Why do they so violently trigger so many people? Seriously, they're the reason you can ignore microtransactions altogether. Would you rather have a car added free with the caveat that you have to play the game (or buy some money if you can't be assed) to get it, or have that same car added but it's $20 and there's no other way to get it? I'll tell you which one I prefer, the one that's not sleazy.
They should just add casinos for online in the next DLC. I would say that it's one of the most requested features and one of the most important features missing from V that was in SA now that they are adding lowriders.
Added a front licence plate and breakable glass to my Buffalo mod:

It'll be here when it's approved.
I'm expecting some good money glitches with this update. Fingers crossed.

aside from just saying no, you didn't really offer much up to why it isn't all about the shark cards.
because i'm pretty damn sure it is - game devs don't put microtransactions in games only to not push them in their own subtle ways.
Don't buy them if you don't want them, and appreciate the people who do for helping to keep these big DLCs free.
They give twice as many ways to get new content as most other publishers and yet they're demonized for it.
Yeah, shark cards are totally what's keeping dlc free. It's totally not the fact that Rockstar literally swims in fucking money.
Mind you a whole fucking lot of that goes into VA for updates like this one. Heists had nearly half the budget the base game did, mostly thanks to the voice acting.
Also GTAV isn't their only game. This much should be obvious. They are undoubtedly using profit from GTAV on other projects, far from 100% is going back into itself.
[editline]t[/editline]
They're running a business. They're paying people. They're getting a lot of shit made as efficiently as they can afford. They don't just swim around in money all day like scrooge mcduck.

I agree with you but I don't think Heists costed 130$ million. DLC is probably free because they knew that if they charged for minor updates like that, people wouldn't keep playing long enough to buy the shark cards. At least it's not required or intrusive unlike 99% of other games with microtransactions.
