Hi SFArial, Here you can find a manual about the game. You don't respawn with a random weapon actually, you respawn with the weapon you died with, unless you had a rare weapon which aren't tagged to be respawnable with or you picked up a weapon of the enemy faction. In the latter case you'd need to bring a couple of them to the armory to unlock them for your team, then you can also respawn with those. The vests are only available at the armories/armory trucks. Though you could buy a few, put them into your stash for later use when you are somewhere where there are only stashes but no armories around.
Alright, thanks. Didn't know you can bring enemy weapons to armory to unlock them, that sounds cool.
you can always carry a vest in your backpack too. i always have a backup myself since it weighs next to nothing
i wanna get back into this game, i had a hugely leveled character on the main/most popular PvE server, but when i got a new rig i forgot what my sign-in was to that server so im stuck with a measly level 1 all over again :(
Is there anything past "final mission 1" or whatever? there's just nothing after blowing up all of the radar towers [editline]17th September 2014[/editline]
i wanna get back into this game, i had a hugely leveled character on the main/most popular PvE server, but when i got a new rig i forgot what my sign-in was to that server so im stuck with a measly level 1 all over again :(
haha yeah i have had the same problem on {SAS}. not that i was too gloriously high ranking. i think i was like a sergeant or something
I played this game a very long time ago, awesome to see it's still being supported. I picked it up again, and am downloading now.
hahaha I just sat in the back of an APC for probably a good 30 minutes as two players single handedly wiped out like three enemy bases being the driver and gunner
Hello everyone! has been a while since my last post. We released several updates since 0.98 but next week a big one is coming (0.99). It will include a new "Boss map" and faction specific vehicles among other things. So ya, the final release is coming closer. Recently, RWR has made it into the indieDB game of the year 2014 Top100! A new round has started to declare to vote for the winner of the finals! It would help us a lot if you'd vote for RWR if you like the game. It needs nothing more than a single click, not even a registration is required! Thanks a lot for your support! I love this games art style
This looks really cool! I'm going to try the demo first, is it up-to-date with the actual game version?
Hey guys, ah sorry Flum, I didn't see your question. The demo is not up to date but if you like it you'll love the full beta as several more things have been added since. If you really don't like it I doubt you'll enjoy the full though ;) We just released a new update (0.99.2) and this evening (8pm UTC) we organize a PvP event. It would be cool if some of you guys could join as we want to break the all time player score on a single server. I will also stream the event (without comments though) on my twitch chan if you want to have a look at how a PvP match works. Here the link to the twitch channel: >>> http://www.twitch.tv/jackmayol <<< And the event announcement:
Hey guys, I made a highlight video of last Sunday's session:
Just bought this game and fucking love the insignificant grunt aspect of things it gives off. Perfect. I sat around trying to mod a weapon to be a smokeable cigarette (muh immersion) but gave up after coming across too many headaches. I would re-buy the game again if you guys added small little actions for the soldiers to do randomly (or on command if it's the one you're controlling) like Soldat had back in the day like smoking, pissing, drinking beers, etc. Just things that would make the troops seem a bit more human as opposed to the little bloodthirsty ants they all run around like. I know it's not really an important feature but I love small little details like that. They go a long way.
Bumping just to inform that the game reached 1.0 today and is officially out of early access.
server player limits seriously need to be lowered or something in PvE, i thought it was a horrible grind before to rank up but now its even worse with so many other people, AIs just practically die as they spawn, nor are fights even much of a fight anymore its just a complete steamroll
Bought this when it came out of early access, it's the only game I've ever seen to straight up crash my GPU and subsequently my whole computer. Which is a shame because the little bit I got to play was pretty fun and I spent a fair amount of money on it.
Been playing this game and have been having a blast, surprised it isn't more popular on here, I would highly recommend it.
This game is the tits. Seriously, if you like Battlefield or Ace of Spades (classic one), go check this out. There's a free demo on Steam.
I really don't get how to use tank guns, it hits completely where I don't aim.
This game is loads of fun to play when you've got nothing better to do. I just wish the AI was better at driving.
Hello Runners! RWR is on Flash Sales on Steam right now until Saturday 7am UTC. Grab it while it's hot!
Got myself this game and it's just such an amazing experience, always wanted a game with such a concept. I really enjoy the cooperative multiplayer.
Hey Runners! Modulaatio Games is proud to announce that the Steam Workshop support for RUNNING WITH RIFLES just went live! To celebrate the Workshop release, RWR can be purchased with a -50% discount deal, lasting until the end of the weekend! Grab it while it's hot! Mods for RWR can now be easily subscribed to and shared with RWR's full support of the Steam Workshop. Multiplayer servers using Workshop content will let players subscribe to the required Workshop items automatically upon connecting. We've prepared the Workshop with some very cool mods already (let it be WWI, WWII, Sci-fi, racing or even Zombiiiies!) and are excited for all-new content submissions. Finally, all the great mods we've seen in the past few years can be made available to players easily. We're also hosting dedicated servers running a few of the mods. See you there! Here are just 2 examples of mods that have already been submitted: OVERLORD DEFENSE (WWII wave defense): RUNNING WITH THE DEAD (zombie apocalypse): To make it easier to create custom maps, we are actually working on a map video tutorial which is our next top priority! We also added 2 new languages in this update. 欢迎中国的朋友！ benvenuto ai nostri amici italiani! I really appreciate all this continued support man, it's a great game.
This game is criminally underrated, I hope the workshop can revive it a bit The zombie mod is surprisingly fun, each faction feels very different
so much fun, why isn't this game one of most played on STEAM ... it fully deserves it ...
Very interesting game. Dumb question, is there way to check my 'progression' or levelling in a singleplayer campaign?

The feedback about the Workshop has been very nice so far. And to be honest I didn't know what to expect from this as I have never been a mod fan myself. I have to say that some are very fun though! :)

Being a game developer myself it really broke my heart seeing you guys are definitely very talented and passionate, I hope it wasn't a too discouraging experience and you can still learn from it

I remember seeing this thread a few years back on FP and not thinking much of it, but I came across RWR again a few months back on the Steam store in my queue and bought it. Very fun and unique game, and workshop support is definitely a good evolution!
